About Thunderfury, as far as I know back in the days before WoWHead it was common to inspect others and link cool items you'd see. Honestly, I would move both Tarecgosa and Fangs up a space, as they are the only ones (besides Thorisdal, but that is more the attack effects) to have unique body based visual effects. Fangs gave the rogue Deathwing like wings, even outside the on use, whenever it procced, and as long as the proc was active, and then obviously Tarec's is better than it, so a step higher is normal.
Willing to submit that corrupted Ashbringer from Naxx, while Epic, should be number 2 behind Atiesh. Only Corrupted I have seen in person was my original Moonrunner guild main Pally healer. We had 4H on farm and it dropped once in 4 months. Still, my bird on a stick still brings everyone around when I park with it equipped
I definitely think that Atiesh, Great Staff of the Guardian should have been on this list, even if just for the fact that its impossible to start the quest line anymore
As a hunter main who did mythic sylvanas at the time i can clearly tell you that the legendary effect of the bow did not deal "a massive amount of dmg", it was quite underwhelming and only BIS because of the itemlvl :) The silence effect was mostly useful in m+.
Great list and video as always hiruma. But this does remind me of how Shaman always get screwed when it comes to legendaries.... especially the melee spec Enhancement. Sure, resto could get the valnyr hammer and elemental get the taregosa staff.... but Enhancement gets nothing! We got Sulfuras in vanilla but enhance was a lower priority compared to warr or pally or another 2H melee class. Enhance can't use SWORDS unfortunetly, which really sucks because there are alot of cool unique weapons that are designed for swords or for 2H weapons, but not a 1H weapon (axe, mace, fist) that enhance shaman can use . Some classes like Hunter have gotten two exclusive legendary bows, rogues got their daggers, and something like Thunderfury was given to tanks like warrior or dps like rogue.... but no shaman cause no swords :( You would think a weapon dropped by a wind storm elemental that procs a chain lightning could be used by shaman but nope. A fireflame themed weapon like Fyralath would have been perfect fit for Enhance too but also a 2H weapon. Same with Shadowmourne that was 2H and very DK themed. I would love to see Shaman get an exclusive legendary in the next xpac, which we can transform based on our spec so Enh Ele and Resto can all use it.... but I wouldn't mind just a simple 1H axe, fist, mace legendary that would work for Enhancement. An expac like Cataclysm seemed like the perfect xpac to showcase the Shaman class and give them a proper unique legendary since we had to battle both the Air and Fire Elemental lords, but we got screwed out of anything cool and unique. Even the first Fist legendary weapon Nazsuro that was made was given exclusively to Evokers when the class that seems most iconic for using a fist weapon would be an Enhancement Shaman.... plus Nazuros special proc effect for the Order sphere that buffs an ally also fits the theme of ENH being a support class that enhances itself and its allies. To all the Shaman... let us pray to the Elements that we finally get a proper legendary made just for Shaman. And even better, remove the weapon restriction so that Shaman can finally use swords and open up more options for weapon choices and transmogs. I get the lore reason why they didn't allow shaman to use swords way back in vanilla.... but times have changed and this restriction is just stupid and limiting now. Even classes like Monks, who traditionally only use stuff like fist and staff weapons can use plenty of other melee weapons like polearms, swords, maces, ect. So I think Shaman should be able to use swords just like every other dual weild melee class spec.
Imagine how Druids feel. Especially non-resto specs. The Emerald Dream _finally_ comes to the game as a complete zone, including its own raid. The perfect time for the Druids to get their first exclusive legendary. But, oh wait... it's just another 2H strength axe for plate-wearers (Shadowmourne 2.0), as if they haven't already been swimming in legendaries. I seriously struggle to understand why Blizzard made that decision.
Man, I have 4 1/2 weapons on this list. Have one singular Warglaive of Azzinoth, havent gotten the other to drop. Aside from the Blood Infusion of Shadowmourne, Thunderfury was the most obnoxious because farming the 100 arcane crystals for the arcanite bars. I refused to buy any of it, so 3 1/2 hours of farming later I had my [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker].
@@josejuanandrade4439 The number 1 position in this list is a legendary cloak everyone and their mother got back in MoP. It wasn't hard to get like at ALL

Imo, the WoD rings are still one of the cooler legendaries. I can't think of anything else in the game outside of lust where one person would proc a buff on the entire raid/party to do a drastic increase in dps/throughput. Still one of the more unique legendary effects the devs have created, even if it just a ring and therefore has no visual tmog.
As a mage main that got blamed because of thunderfury screw that item. It used to break CC and cause me to lose dps having to kite the mob further away from the tank so they stop breaking it as they try to pull it back. So many fights...
I feel like the dragonflight legendaries should be a bit higher up on the list simply based off the fact NO ONE could get the legendaries until the raid had been cleared on mythic. AFTER that is when any bad luck protection started. It was mythic only til someone got them
I prefer the borrowed power scheme from BFA over legendaries, tier sets, etcetera !¡! Borrowed power in 9.3 was the best WOW has *EVER* been for me personally !
The evoker legendary actually prioritizes the evoker. So while yeah, it's not always on self... it's most often on self. Just a note from an evoker player. Also how do the WoD rings not make this list in terms of power level?
We are going to funnel dragonswrath to a shaman on firelands launch, because the mastery can proc off the effect and visversa procing like old school windfury and blasting stupid amounts of lava blasts
Legendary items are all well and good but nothing compares to a Stoneskin Gargoyle Cape, although it has been so long I can no longer remember what it looks like…
I've been trying to get the dreamrender since the raid released on my warrior. Use the greater embers and even with the awakening event I still run amidrassil. I think the items that are suppose to increase your chance is just copium items. Blizzard using them so players will keep playing even when they have ever other piece of gear available.
Yeah there is missing the legendary bow from the sun well and then there is the maze from ulduar you can craft after collecting 20 legendary ingots from bosses
That reminds me. On Cata releaze i ran myself through MC on my lvl 55 worgen warrior and got the eye of Sulfuras... Before reaching lvl 60 i had Sulfuras in my bag... I leveled through Outland with Sulfuras equiped... good times.

A: Neither needs ammo to shoot, but Thori'Dal is the only bow that brags about it !
@@josejuanandrade4439because buying ammo was the style at the time
@@Fabriciod_Crv I know, i did play back then. Also, iirc, the epic bow from Sunwell raid + arrows from the Scales of Sand rep were better for hunters then Thori'Dal.
Poor hunter could never get a break. Years later, new leg bow drops from Sylvannus and it was a pita to get and almost no hunter i know got it.
@@josejuanandrade4439i got it from my vault one week. Didn't even even tho it could happen but I was so gobsmacked just before fared raids came out and I was able to get the quiver too and I felt so op for that brief moment 🤣😭
i loved the fangs questline
I kinda like the Warcraft III Warglaives with the pandas on them, I think it'd be hilarious if there was an alternative version in WoW too
honorable mention the legendary rings from wod i really liked the idea of the dps one the most, you would pop it and your whole raid would get the a damage buff the person who popped the ring does a giant explosion of all of the damage they did in the window it was up it was really fun to use
Good stuff, thanks for sharing
Wow number 1 was a curve ball I hadn’t considered but I agree these cloaks were so damn good.
no atiesh and cloaks are #1? worst take in a while bro
saw this video a few days after i got an eye of sulfuras so i decided to watch it farming up arcane crystals for it right now
Great list and video as always hiruma.
Thanks Hiru
Took since wrath when i started trying, but i got that stupid ragnaros eye back in February and finally got my hammer
Ok...now you have to do a video about the various Artifact Weapons in Legion :D
It took me nearly 5 YEARS of grinding Molten Core every single week to get Thunderfury.
dude who let you make this list
Glaives and Thunderfury should be 1 and 2 in some order. MoP cloak being 1 is wild to me, especially having played then.
wow do top 10 expansions next. i wanna see which ones make that list
According to this list, you know it's gonna be either wod or cata😂
Speaking of legion legendary items, i still miss that necklace that gave me a bubble.
That one ring Legion legendary better be on this...
He didn't include any legendaries from Legion. Shit list IMO
@@paulosouza449 A legendary you get because you pick up a rock ain't that cool imo.
@@josejuanandrade4439 The number 1 position in this list is a legendary cloak everyone and their mother got back in MoP. It wasn't hard to get like at ALL
@@josejuanandrade4439 Plus there were some legendaries from Legion that COMPLETELY changed how a class was played. The ring he mentioned in specific was GOATED by the end of legion
Aman'Thul's Vision is THE ONLY special legendary from Legion. It is the only one worthy of being on this list
Yikes. Imagine putting some stupid cloak before Sulfuras, Thunderfury and Atiesh...
Worst even, a cloak that everybody and their mothert got... Like... damn...
i remember that dragonwrath was bonker on fire mages thanks to their ignire and old combustion
As a mage main that got blamed because of thunderfury screw that item. It used to break CC and cause me to lose dps having to kite the mob further away from the tank so they stop breaking it as they try to pull it back. So many fights...
Nobody is mentioning the dancing shadowmourne, im a bit disappointed ^^
I feel like the dragonflight legendaries should be a bit higher up on the list simply based off the fact NO ONE could get the legendaries until the raid had been cleared on mythic. AFTER that is when any bad luck protection started. It was mythic only til someone got them
Top 3 is hand of rag, warglaives, and Thunderfury.
I always despised Thunderfury. It is simply too big for a one-handed weapon. It always felt that the owner needs to compensate for something. PP
I prefer the borrowed power scheme from BFA over legendaries, tier sets, etcetera !¡!
Borrowed power in 9.3 was the best WOW has *EVER* been for me personally !
Sulfuras is n10, and pandaria cloaks are n1.
This is all you needed to know about this list.
actualy in thunderfury used to have a class requirement, paladin warrior hunter rogue
YES ANOTHER ONE
Warglaves are Nr.1 for sure
Nothing about acquiring Nasz’uro was fun
The evoker legendary actually prioritizes the evoker. So while yeah, it's not always on self... it's most often on self. Just a note from an evoker player. Also how do the WoD rings not make this list in terms of power level?
take a shot everytime he says “Fie-Rack”
Wait... I got Dragonwrath on my shaman. Did blizzard change the class requirement after Cata?
I got Fangs of the Father back in BfA, but I can't even transmog them.
what about the hunter bow from sunwell plateu?
been trying to get the second bindings of the windseeker for like 2 or 3 months now lol
We are going to funnel dragonswrath to a shaman on firelands launch, because the mastery can proc off the effect and visversa procing like old school windfury and blasting stupid amounts of lava blasts
You missed Atiesh, which I feel like should be #1 on this list!
Legendary items are all well and good but nothing compares to a Stoneskin Gargoyle Cape, although it has been so long I can no longer remember what it looks like…
Ah yes, Scalecommander Sarkath
0.75 speed is so much more chill :D
A legendary shield would be cool
The woker legendary actually does buff yourself when you use your big cd and buffs others when not. It is not a pure support buff.
I miss the way we obtained legendaries in Cata and MoP… I hate in DF we have to rely on crafting by other people…
The genshin animation for the bad lucl protection lmao
I've been trying to get the dreamrender since the raid released on my warrior. Use the greater embers and even with the awakening event I still run amidrassil. I think the items that are suppose to increase your chance is just copium items. Blizzard using them so players will keep playing even when they have ever other piece of gear available.
Yeah there is missing the legendary bow from the sun well and then there is the maze from ulduar you can craft after collecting 20 legendary ingots from bosses
i saw, in week 2, a sulfuras on classic wow... god damn people are crazy xd
That reminds me. On Cata releaze i ran myself through MC on my lvl 55 worgen warrior and got the eye of Sulfuras... Before reaching lvl 60 i had Sulfuras in my bag... I leveled through Outland with Sulfuras equiped... good times.
Evoker legendary while i still mained evoker was the first legendary i got when it was current content… now being an unholy dk going forward im trying to get the axe… eventually…
Good luck! If you are unlucky it will take you 14-15 heroic kill. Also from the week after onwards all raids will be awakened.
Why did Shadowmourne's video have mage play?
Also, po-lethera?
justice for the WoD rings
Is that geneshini impact during #8 slot lol
I crafted Sulfurus a few yesrs back and tgen they changed it to a 1 hand mace, made it really small and unworthy
2/ Trade: [Daedres]: Did someone say [Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker]?
You made a error in discribing how to get THunderfury, you also need to loot a itme from Ragnaros namely: "Essence of the Firelord
I've never owned a single class legendary while it was relevant.
Same, did pick up a lot of them several expansions later tho. Thunderfury, taragosa etc etc.
Tsk Tsk Tsk. Valanyr, Shadowmourne, Tarecgosa and now Fyralat. Of course the cloak and ring but i believe you meant weapons.
Is so cool when you get one of these when relevant and then you also get to use them while leveling in the next expansion. Is been a while since i leveled through MoP weilding Tarecgosa. But now i will be able to level several chars through TWW with Fyralat
Its a pity that every new expansion made these legendary weapons obsolete.
