crazy how last video someone commented "you should show your rank" and you managed to sneakily add it between battles in the very next video, shows how much you pay attention to people!! thanks for the awesome video
Hey Aaron! It's your opponent from game 3. A couple days ago I decided to get back to VGC after a long break due to personal complications and it's an honor to battle you of all people as my first game in Master Ball tier. You've taught me so much through your content and you're a great inspiration for me to play. I was literally playing the first team you featured and when I saw you as an opponent, I panicked, knowing you would read me like a book and so you did. It was really fun anyways. I had no idea what to expect from your team and was surprised by the Eternatus damage. Thanks for the match! PS: A friend met you in Sao Paulo and I told him to ask you for an autograph but he failed me.
GG, thank you for the kind words and welcome back to VGC! I think this team has a very faverable match-up into Miraidon and that team specifically, so I hope you aren't too hard on yourself. Hopefully I'll be able to give you and your friend an autograph in Sao Paulo next time :)
Hey Aaron! Can I say I appreciate your videos, not just for the entertainment and lessons, but people actually take your exact teams you showcase and use them on Ladder. Funny story, last team you showcased I ran into ladder as my first match and I completely outplayed the strategy. I was like "wait, I KNOW THIS! Aaron just played this"! So also getting the inside look of the teams is also very beneficial!
I was one of the players who fought Julian at worlds. I knew Miraidon was the call going in, and his team is cleverly designed to beat Miraidon. The supporting Pokemon cannot touch Eternatus for the most part, and Miraidon has to watch for fairy tera or a rillaboom or flutter mane pivot, making it difficult to lock into the right move. I unsuprisingly lost, and all I can say is congrats to Julian for making an excellent call for worlds.
Exodia is underrated. I didn't believe it until a buddy and I built an Exodia kuriboh team, and played reg g bo3 ladder on yugioh showdown. After a few games we realized it was very strong and got up to 15000 before we stopped. Sword of revealing flute of summoning dragon is just incredibly strong into so much of the format
Pressure is such an underwhelming ability on legendary mons. I can't believe we got gen 4 remakes and new forms for the Sinnoh legends without them getting new abilities, and the same goes for Eternatus. There's a lot of wasted potential here
Tbh, for Eternatus, Pressure is the ability it would need in this case. This team can stall, and against Pokemon with a choice item, you can potentially lock them into struggle once enough turns have passed. In SWSH Eternatus definitely shouldn't have had Pressure, but with Tera, it's a decent enough ability
QOTD: I think both kyurem-black (maybe with scale shot + loaded dice) and kyurem-white, both paired with snow is VERY underrated and can dominate unprepaired matchups
@@TheRealBErhart If kids are reading youtube comments, they're gonna see way worse things than "shit", lol. It's parents' jobs to monitor what their kids look at, ultimately youtube comments are not kid friendly and it's not our job to censor ourselves on the off chance that kids are reading what we comment.
I really hope the exclusive moves that target a certain gimmick (Behemoth Blade/Bash, Dynamax Cannon, Tera Starstorm) get a rework after their respective gimmick is gone in the future. Though personally I really like Tera and it would be fun to keep it around.
QOTD: Rayquaza is underrated. I didn't believe it until a buddy and I built a Rayquaza umbreon team, and played reg g bo3 ladder on pokemon showdown. After a few games we realized it was very strong and got up to 1500 before we stopped. Sword dance dragon acsent is just incredibly strong into so much of the format
Araquanid seems underrated in this format. I went with a more offensive build, same moves with Binding Band on a Caly Ice team. Good resistance, support and DOT Dmg against the main threats. Liquidation can OHKO your mons if it catches ya sleeping.
For the QOTD I personally am loving lunala and necrozma dusk from. Maybe it's just cause I'm a dirty tricktail user, but I like that it's both a setter and can act as a sweeper, whilst being fast enough to act as utility. It's a jack of all trades in the right teams. It's a little weak, but I find the support it provides gives you more outplay options to the meta tactics. Choosing when to use your power herb, letting it take hits and drawing agro allows you to break teams that are more heavily invested in their restricteds without losing your strongest tool, since it's the coherence of the team that lunala supports, rather than the central anchor of something like CSR that the rest of the team rotates around.
Funny how Eternatus is just min-maxed Mewtwo. Very similar offensive profile with a bit less Sp.Atk , but it trades all those points in Attack for a ton of HP and a much better typing overall.
I think Eternatus will be crazy in dual-restricted teams. It has such a unique typing and offers a really cool profile to a team. It can really solve a lot of issues on certain team comps in a way only it can
This team is SICK. Eternatus and araquanid are some of my favourite pokemon that I've used in the past in tournaments and it's just an incredible bulky offense team. I'm definitely gonna try it
2:43 it does at lwast get access to sludge wave, but you'd have to build your team with some steel types and pokemon with protect if you're gonna go down that route
QoTD: Mewtwo. It is often compared to Calyrex-Shadow Rider and seen as inferior, however oddly enough, Mewtwo has all the coverage moves Caly wishes it had, and Mewtwo doesn't have x4 weaknesses to ghost and dark. Mewtwo is not a bad Pokemon. Nothing with 154 Sp.atk and 130 Speed can be called bad by any means. More effort, work, and skill is required to make Mewtwo work. It is not a crutch like some of these other restricteds that can end games with one button click. You'll get a rush every time you win with Mewtwo, the OG legendary who at one point had no equivalent.
I thought I wouldn’t have as much fun in this format as Reg H but I’ve actually been having a surprising amount of success with Necrozma Dusk-Mane. I’m basically using it as a worse Calyrex-Ice. One thing I’ve done that I think is pretty funny is give Farigiraf trick room and also Imprison, because Dusk-Mane is slow enough that I want to do TR against most teams but if I go up against TR he’s too fast.
QOTD: Wish Yveltal was in the game - big fave of mine (coming from someone who started with Pokemon Blue way back lol). Miraidon and Zacian would be my picks!
@CybertronVGC oh wow. I stand corrected. Thanks for replying and thanks for the vids they're helping me becone a better player! Still yet to crack masterball rank 100 though.
Hey Aaron, will you be featuring any Zamazenta comps for this run of reg g? I’d love to see how you pilot it into some of its tougher matchups. Great vid as always!
QOTD: Lugia you can use with screens I always look forward to these videos this really helps Aaron Cybertron! Hey I'm curious would ever make a series about team buildin?
Something neat I’ve noticed watching your videos is that you recognize certain Pokémon’s names in other languages. Are you familiar with a lot of languages or is it more so just pattern recognition?
What are you supposed to do if the miraidon team leads whimsicott miraidon? They press tailwind and suddenly icy wind doesn't out speed them anymore. If you bring fake out as lead instead of icy wind, then they can manual swap whims to farigiraf and fake out doesn't work.
if groudon and kyogre have had 100% precise signature they would have beein much scarier than now something like the calys especially the orca in the rain
I love that you featured Araquanid!!! I actually came up with a combo for Araquanid and either Blastoise or Kyogre!! The idea is that you use Entrainment with Araquanid to give the Water Bubble ability to either Blastoise (who has no good ability) or Kyogre (whose ability has already triggered) and now they have double power on Water Spout!!! It’s kind of hard to get the positioning right, but when you do it’s GLORIOUS! I’ve DELETED a Groudon in the Sun with Blastoise using this combo! 🤌✌️
Eternatus matches up beautifully against the non-restricted legendary mons in the meta, but matches up poorly against the Restricted legendaries. Bit awkward.
Is anyone else just tired of seeing incineroar ,rillaboom, flutter, urshifu, etc ? Same old teams with a different restricted and maybe one more flex spot. Is beyond dull to me..
You should really run the toxic set on eternatus: Toxic Flamethrower Recover Cosmic power And then run it next to wochien with leech seed. Yeah, you can stall in doubles
crazy how last video someone commented "you should show your rank" and you managed to sneakily add it between battles in the very next video, shows how much you pay attention to people!! thanks for the awesome video

Rayquaza
Umbreon
Rillaboom
Oger-hearth
Waturshifu

Dizguztingly overpowered and way better than zacian
