    You really need to do some long form instructional videos. You have next level builds and I want to learn more from you. As I’m sure others do as well. Both your technical and design skills are outstanding!

    • @SawyerDesign
      @SawyerDesign  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thanks Tim! I’ve got a whole bunch planned once I get over this algorithm hump and start gaining some traction here. Instructionals just don’t seem to do very well.

    • @77ryan0341
      @77ryan0341 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. I found myself wanting to hear more about "piston fitting" as well as other processes. Consider even a subscriber model with more in-depth instructionals on patreon or similar platform. Help to justify all the time it would take to create. Of course, for those desiring in-depth footage of processes, the production value doesn't have to be as high level. Thanks for sharing your skills and knowledge.

    Very nice work. I was trained 43 years ago as a professional furniture maker. Your skill set and methods are at the professional level. Nice layout and video production also. The narration versus loud blaring music that some TH-cam woodworkers use in their videos is refreshing! Subscribed as you are what a professional woodworker should be.

    I’m following for while, and in every project you always try to increase the difficulty without pre planning, just following your instinct and trusting in your skills. You are one of the best woodworker in TH-cam and I don't not why, but certainly you are under estimated, you deserve millions of subscribers . All the best wishes and happy Christmas.

    WOW!
    Particularly loving the endgrain veneer treatment - now I have to switch from stealing the quatersawn logs from the wood pile to stealing the riftsawn logs ! ( yeah, I know, they are the same logs - I just have to mill them differently lol)
    The drawer stops are SLICK! ... does anyone ever notice you slipping the springs out of their ball point pens while you're waiting for them to do whatever it is you've asked them to do?
    Really happy I found your channel - kinda torn between wanting you to go slower and give more detail and these montages, they are quite nice - but don't listen to me, I'm generally an outlier in terms of the videos I like versus the ones that Google likes lol.
    Can't wait for your next creation!

      Thanks so much Greg! Aren’t those drawer snaps the coolest thing ever?? I’m constantly hoarding crap pens haha And I know exactly what you mean as I’m torn between the artsy flow and a long instructional. I’m sure there will be a balance found as I learn how to do this TH-cam thing more. Really appreciate it man.

      Thanks Garrett! Really pleased with how they came together. That table saw tail trick saves so much time for waste removal.

      @@SawyerDesign yeah I’ve never seen that approach other than you, do you use a thin kerf blade?

      Yeah it’s a custom 7.6deg (1:7.5) grind in a thin kerf Forrest wwii

    Fellow detail obsesser here. I love the end grain veneer as others have said. I think the hidden gem of this video was the drawer stop concept. As a former Army guy, I am now regretting every cheap, clickable Skilcraft ballpoint pen I threw away.

      Haha isn’t that just so much better than screwing a block down after the drawer’s installed? The click on entry is super satisfying too. Glad you liked the build. Thanks Matt!

      @@abefarrar 😂 I wish I had a teacher. Met a guy, now a good buddy of mine that went to furniture school and he’s been good to bounce ideas off and I wish I had the opportunity to learn some things hands on from him, but largely self taught. Obsessed with the craft man!

    You are an amazing craftsman, and I instantly subscribed. I did feel it was extremely fast paced and felt lost at certain parts. That's probably because I am more interested in the woodworking process, time and skill, rather than the artistic nature of the video process. Keep up the great work.

      Thanks Chris! Definitely hard to balance time w/ all the ground I cover. Still figuring this whole video thing out and the best way to present this. Appreciate the feedback!
