There is a reason why fighting many times in a year is very good for prime pressure fighters. They refine their offensive-defense techniques (bob-weave-duck-step back). Although in great physical condition, Shawn is still raw as far as putting it all together. Sad. It's still going to be a great fight, though.

porter vs thurman is goin to be a very interesting fight because whoever wins this fight is the man & whoeva loses this fight will be setback so win or lose somebody's career could push forward or sombody gettin setback because a fight wit garcia is waiting for the winner of this fight & danny cant beat thurman or porter so his belt is gone before he fight thurman or porter in my opinion but it would still be a good fight for fans..
i hope in the fight he doesn't do his usual routine of just falling into his opponent after throwing a couple of shots, ending up in a hug from where he'll throw rabbit punches until the referee breaks them up.
Porter is in trouble!. That sparring partner was a southpaw fighting orthodox to accommodate Porter. Porter's only success is on the inside but when they are boxing he gets hit by hooks which would have dropped him without the head gear. I personally believe it's time his father left his corner because in his last few fights he seems to have degenerated as a fighter. Don't get me wrong I like Porter's game style and humbleness but he is not going to beat Thurman based on recent performances or displays.
Porter is of the train harder not smarter type. He is very physical but not so intelligent in style. He reminds me of Mosley in this regard. His success will be limited as a result since one reaches their physical peak before their mental

I like when Porter tries to box on the outside. It's funny because he doesn't have the patience to do that for more than a couple of seconds each round. I think he beats Thurman, he smothers his opponents and I don't see Thurman having much room to operate. He doesn't have the size that Kell Brook has not to give ground when Porter is in bully mode. I think in order for Thurman to win he has to knock Porter out.

I have only trained for about 6 months now and I need some advice from somebody, I see here that Porter has a taller sparring opponent and manages to beat him, how do you fight over reach disadvantage? I will fight somebody taller than me in a week or so and I need some advice.
I know this Is late asf lol, but im not gonna lie to you, its going to be hard. You have to cut distance and fight him on the inside thats the only chance you have

To be fair the UK is producing better fighters in boxing at the moment. The usa is getting outclassed by UK fighters on world level in boxing.
