    Ya knowwwww, the cleaning of the juicer by running water through it is so simple and genius and I have no idea why I didn’t think of it before but I could hug you!!! I was looking forward to the juicing except the prep and cleaning.

      @@CoachKhara so happy I saw this video. The tip of running water to clean between juices was very enlightening for me, because I had been taking it apart and cleaning between juices when I did bulk juicing. Will definitely try the water method next time. THANK YOU!!!!

    What I didn’t like about the Nama is all of the plastic Juicing parts above the motor only have a 2 year warranty. Only the motor has a 15 year warranty. I’ve had vertical juicer’s before, if you’re not careful to wash them, especially after juicing lemons, the plastic parts, get brittle, and can crack or break. There’s something about the oil in the lemons that causes the plastic to become fragile.

    Incredible video and thank you for your breakdown. My lady and I just updated our J1 to the J2 and it’s been such an incredible ride already.
    I definitely need to get on your level and have more days where I’m 100% juice. Which is a huge reason why I can’t wait to garden this year.
    Thank you for sharing. Peace and blissings to you and yours.

    Love your video, however something I learned about slow juicers is the oxidation is less than a high rpm juicer, so your bulk juice will last much longer in the fridge, however you cancel this out buy using a high rpm blender. It’s no different than using a high rpm juice machine. Maybe you never thought of this, so I’m putting it out there. Keep juicing! Such a beautiful woman!

      I hope you are aware of the most incredible buy on Ebay with the Ikich Vacuum Blender...John Kohler loves it..
      It sells out for months at a time...it's availablre right now for as low as $42...& up...comes with smoothie container
      with lid as well...I just bought two & sent one to friend in Vancouver, WA..they got it...she and husband can't wait
      to start blending ....One vacuums prior to the blend..so if it appeals to anyone desiring to thicken the juice by
      using a blender...this would be the way to pereserve the low oxidation the NamaJ2 affords...it's really worth
      having as an extra to use for vauum blending.... wanted to pass that info along. One can put John Kohler's name
      and Ikitch Vacuum blender in search bar here & you'll see various videos by him & others...He says he'd choose
      the Ikitch over ANY Vitamix any day bec it's 100 % more nutrients with the vacuum... :)

    • @soniandongmo
      @soniandongmo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you so much Élisabeth! I add protein primarily because the recipe calls for it BUT I appreciate it because it helps provide a more balanced diet while juicing only. Happy juicing and stay tuned!

    • @jraehardin
      @jraehardin ปีที่แล้ว

      1: Protein sustains muscle. This includes the heart, as well as limbs. You don't want to lose weight by dropping water and muscle as it returns as soon as you stop the regiment. Instead you want to lose weight by burning fat.
      2: The more muscle you have, the more fat you burn. So it's good to consume protein (even if its outside your juice) , and also exercise to build new muscle or sustain your existing. It requires more effort than cardio, but studies show muscle building is more effective than cardio for burning weight.

    Good morning beautiful
    I completely understand your trials and tribulations of being mature woman. I am 54 years of age and in the last 16 years I have focus my attention on learning as much as possible and also applying it however, in the last 6 1/half years, I’ve lived in my car after being discarded by my ex narcissist so there is a lot of limitations and restrictions in my life. The present which doesn’t allow me or afford me the ability to take excellent care of myself.
    This should be a daily thing, it shouldn’t be a periodic so the benefits of juicing are that you immediately get the nutrients however, they diminish as time ticks and it won’t be complete so when you’re making batches, keep that in mind
    Once the air hit it, it becomes oxidized you have about 10 minutes to Consume and get the full benefits enzymes and all
    My suggestion is as time-consuming as you think it might be. It really is in your highest good to not take shortcuts now I understand you’re doing a juice fast but you could probably do this with intermittent fasting were you actually eat around four or 5 PM one meal and you consume juices all day long But you should definitely listen to your inner guidance and you can formulate your own regimen based on the information that resonates with you that you’ve heard from other people who have successfully done this it’s just some thing I thought I would throw out there
    Your gut is your health
    That is the number one thing you should focus your attention on, and you should never abuse yourself not even when you want to self discipline and parenting yourself, as well as nurturing and caring for yourself like you would your children and hopefully they’re also being included in some of these things that you’re practicing Because the health benefits are amazing and let’s face it the American diet is the word diet minus the t

      Hi Julianne! Many people feel that way because of the trace amounts of amygdalin and a Facebook article from some time ago that went viral, I believe. Based on this fact check article, the jury is still out. It's says: "The average apple usually contains between five to eight seeds. Apple seeds contain approximately 1-4 milligrams of amygdalin, a 2014 study found, but not all of that translates into cyanide.
      Plus, the human body can process hydrogen cyanide in small doses, so eating a few seeds is not dangerous. In fact, it would take "anywhere from 150 to several thousand crushed seeds" to cause cyanide poisoning, according to Britannica." Hi Cheyenne! So great to hear from you! Yes most of the information needed for a juice fast is found in the Jason Vale app that I use. It essentially works out to drinking 4 juice bottles daily plus one juice "shot" at the start of the day. Works out to 4.25 total bottles of juice daily - 2 thick juices and 2 thin ones.
      My juice schedule :
      9 am: juice shot
      10 am : smoothie
      1 pm : juice
      4 pm : juice
      7 pm : smoothie
      I'm going to continue my juicing until the new year except for Christmas day where I'll stick to protein and veggies (no gluten).

    What a great video! I did 165 days this year! I filmed the whole thing on my channel. So amazing. I also did a comparison video between the omega and the nama - Nama wins hands down! If you have time, check it out!

    Hi,
    Just found your channel today. I just purchased the Nama J2. Can you tell me the size of that glass bowl you are using and where you bought it? Thank you.

      The pitcher type container I believe is a 4 qt or 2 qt Anchor Hocking or pyrex..mine arrived yesterday....if you meant the
      large stainless round bowl...I am not certain...The Mason glass containers with the black top are worthy...for the
      smoothies....one can use the chalk labels with pen to identify each juice.

    Where did you get your blender I get my J2 Monday I can’t wait

    • @soniandongmo
      @soniandongmo  ปีที่แล้ว

      My blender is a Ninja Professional that comes with 2 "to go" cups. I like it because the blade can be removed from it to clean it safely and more completely but I am tempted to try a Vitamix next. We'll see :)

    Are you only consuming the juice or are there any meals (food) included?

    • @soniandongmo
      @soniandongmo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Crystal, my goal is juice only but the Jason Vale program I follow allows for a date/nut bar called the RX Bar in cases of extreme hunger. It does a great job of tiding you over. But honestly, you can just eat an apple or a veggie if you're too hungry to last. Don't underestimate the withdrawal from refined sugars. It's real. It's just essential to remember that it's only temporary. :)

    My experience with the J2 was excessively thick juice compared to the vitality 5800 so I sent it back. Do you notice this as well?

    • @soniandongmo
      @soniandongmo  2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      I have not found that to be the case actually. However, I've found that over-ripe produce leads to thick juice so be very careful of the quality of fruits and vegetables that you're pressing. When apple and pears become too soft and ripe they will "mush" instead of juice.

    Can you video the pulp to show us how moist it is and is this a sponsored vlog by Nama

    • @soniandongmo
      @soniandongmo  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello! I wish it was a sponsored vlog because it sounds like there would be a commission involved for me. Unfortunately for me it is not sponsored 🙂. I do like your suggestion though and will take you up on it.

    • @soniandongmo
      @soniandongmo  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      2 of the 4 juices per day are smoothies. You use a blender as well to blend in the thickening component. The Nama J2 can make frozen fruit/veg treats however. I should make a video on that.
