It looks cold where you are. Maybe not the warmest place on this planet but it looks quite beautiful, the sky at night must look amazing! Stay safe and stay warm, love the videos and appreciate the time, effort and attention you pay to the editing.
Oh thank you so much!! Yes the winters here can be brutal so I don't really need to get far to have milder weather. But I don't know if there are as beautiful and free places anywhere else 😊
Hello, already mentioned, but south Portugal, in particularly the Rio Guadiana is a safe and great place to anchor up and immerse yourself in nature. Many liveaboard cruising boats hiding there during the winter months, but you can head further up stream and hide away from people and enjoy a slower pace of life.
Thanks for the video. Try to live day by day. I am late to sail south also and am 'stuck' in the Netherlands, waiting to go south in spring. Changing plans is part of the 'lifestyle' when you can't just buy everything you need. It is a beautiful planet to enjoy.
Congratulations on getting through the humbling aspects of the ocean. It is definitely a right of passage of a true sailor…holding humility and respect for the ocean. Looks like the dream life in terms of location etc. Keep doing you and own it! Couch potatoes don’t have much weight in their views and opinions. Fair winds and following seas.
Love following both your swedish and english channel. This was really beautiful shot, what photo looks great.. and something red, when i was young i learned that you should always have something red in your shot. Take care, both u and your cat.
I'm in south france now. Did the tripp 1 year ago. One thing that made it easy was navily. There are so good info there🎉. Have you thought about going through the French canals to the Med? You could sell boat trips when you get out here. It's good money😊
Oh great!! Yes Navily will be great when coming south now. I'm getting nearer places that anchorages are more rare now! 😊 Hehe yes! Electric sailboat adventures 😎🐬⛵
Such beautiful scenery where you are. I live and sail in Japan, where you can sail all year round, but we also have a lot of typhoons and earthquakes, with the occasional tsunami, so I guess nowhere is perfect. I envy you living in the land of Hallberg Rassy!
Haha thank you!! Japan seems very nice! La Vagabond just came there. The typhoons looks scary!! Yes many good boats have been built here, especially back in the days! 😊
You're an intelligent, *quirky*, & talented man! I Think You Can. I THINK YOU CAN. If the little engine could, let it be understood, You Sure Should. 🙏🦉 🏞️
Assuming you have a good anchor, you can come in Brittany, there are sheltered rivers and anchoring is mostly free. With a bit of Luck, somebody will lend you a buoy... You just need to be careful with tides.
I hope you manage to get to warmer places. I live in Portugal near the sea. There's a big estuary where the river Mira empties. Big, tidal. Very nice to anchor by the small town Milfontes. See you there!
If South is where u think you want to be go. As someone who sailed out of a marina solo (with my Cat guide) not ever owning a boat and never having sailed. I sailed a couple of thousand kilometers in rough seas and wind on the nose most of the way. Yes the ocean will humble you, but it's also building you up! It's the ultimate tough love... Give the great Mother the respect she deserves and trust in your own spirit which is seeded in Her. You can do what is needed my Brother, and it's exactly what you are seeking. Fair winds and following seas
I have left the UK twice in late October, crossing Biscay towards NW Spain. I would say its not too late in a sound boat, but if you are going to let a cat dictate your cruising, maybe stay in the archipelago, my cat loves the woods.
Bro you need to make your way down to Canary island for a nice climate. Forcing your way to Netherlands and thinking that will be way different might not be right. It's cold and wet there during the inter. It might workout being more or less the same as living on a boat through the winter back home. It will be a challenge! If you manage to make your way down south, what's your plan of sustaining yourself? As much as I wish you success, my logic and realistic perspective tells me the reasonable route would be to work through the winter and putting away as much as possible as well as doing the proper preparations, and in 2025 making the run towards the south. I'm so happy you found your cat, but at the same time I saw how it effected you quite negative getting stuck in Gotland for a long time, ruining your plans and challenging your resolve. I want everything good in life to happen to you, it just sounds a bit risky and you might need a bit bigger buffer before heading out on the big adventure. Best of luck!
Haha thanks! Most people recommend that but working now is not an option. Life is difficult. Regular life is more difficult to me than adventure. Of course loosing my best friend for so long was hard. I am used to cheap living and I am on my way already to matching my expenses. It will take a while but I have a while! 😎
Try the Netherlands. It is a happy country (with or without drugs) and there are plenty of places for free overnights. Its not warm though ;) English Channel or Biscya is nothing you want to explore in winter.Hej from Hamburg
Cool!! Yes I have considered it! I think I'll probably sail there a while but it's still quite cold in the winter. But for sure much warmer than Sweden! 😊
Well if you intend on living on Bullens pilsnerkorv, your money will run out fast. Don't go to Holland, it's svindyrt there, go to Poland, very economic to overwinter there. Do some fishing, in Swedish waters you are allowed ten hooks on a långrev and you can have six of those out at the same time. Go to biltema and buy a fishing rod if you don't have one and some sabiki or häckla and some spinnare and skeddrag to catch bait fish.
The bullens was too many years old I found out the hard way. Got some weird fever so it'll be a long time before I try bullens again 😅 Poland sounds great! They have got great food too! Oh you allowed that!? Cool. I have some fishing gear but I have saved that for less polluted waters! 🤔 Thanks for the tips!
@@happygoluckyland Don't be scared of the "polluted waters" on the Swedish side you have clean water, if you're pregnant they recommend you don't eat too much in case there is some heavy metals. Go for the small fish, strömming, abborre, lake, small gädda under 4 kg.
rias baixas , galiza , Vigo , Rio Minho , - with no mast , douro - up river Tagus , or better Guadiana sud portugal - all free nchor - best and closer Vigo Maria San adran 100 euros month - but take about the good climat windos
Don’t let the comments get you down you the Man🎉
Thank you so much!! 😊😸
I wish happiness upon you and success ...however that looks for you! Much love to you and your cat :)
Thank you so much!! 😊😸

Weather the storm and wait for your season to shine, ive been there my friend. Youll wind a fair wind soon enough
Yeah!! Thank you! 😊

Kul!! Ja det går lite fortare med bil och är förmodligen billigare med men det är ett äventyr att segla! Det är spännande jämt 😅
Thanks for you time . Keep believing in yourself friend. Cheers!! Illinois, USA
Thanks!! 😀🩷⛵

Great!! That's cool!! I have the best anchor! But I'm really scared of tides! Not used to tidal waters so that'll be exciting! 😅⛵

Thank you so much!! Yes I hope we can! The sea really humbles you! 😊

Haha yes he loves the woods too but also just sleeps when cold and snow so I think he'll like to get to warmer more active places in the winter! 😅

If you happen to pass Belgium and stay there for a week or so, let me know. I'll buy us dinner. I'm only available in the weekends.
Oh cool!! It will be a while but I will go by at some point. Don't know about marina fees there though! 🤔 But dinner sounds great! 😃Thank you!! 🐬

if you can get your expenses down low, $5000 will last a long time! I believe in you!
Yes thank you!! 😀 🐬

Go south... at least to the canaries
Haha that's too warm for me but I want to get further south! 😅
REMEMBER WHEN THE VIKINGS INVADED SOUTHERN EUROPE? It 's warm there and you are wearing a Viking meat suit. Netherlands. Morocco.
Sardinia.
Yes haha 😅 that brown fat against the cold. I'd love to have it warmer though! 😊🐬🌴
