The last time I used Zeebrugge marina we were two old boats traveling from Middleburg to Oostende at Anchor for classic boats, we were representing The Dunkirk Little Ships Association. Delays at bridges and Flushing lock due to heavy traffic led us into an onshore swell that meant us tacking down the coast. We received word that Oostende harbour was closed to inbound craft due to wind farm barges coming out of the docks. We made it into Zeebrugge and headed for the marina, we both needed fuel so headed for the dock, after refueling staff put us on a nearby mooring that was very handy for the exit. We enjoyed a hearty steak dinner and a beer or three. Next morning we continued on and after mooring at the festival, found out boats arriving the day before had to circle outside Oostende for 3 hours. So, our choice was the wise one. Thank you for taking the time to edit and turn out great videos, stay safe.
Mate you are doing a great job, and in my humble opinion it is very refreshing to look at your vids and there is no music blaring out, keep up the good work.
Henk, you produce some great footage to your channel, and your explanations and your honesty shine through, having only just started editing, I resonate with that viewing the footage, but your editing is great in its style and explanations, for me I enjoy editing as much as filming, look forward as always to the next one
Similar trip a few years ago .entered zeebrugger in fairly rough conditions..friends boat had rope around one prop...lots of cleaning up...wife unhappy...3 hours in the Royal Belgium yacht club...a few drinks...wife happy again....love your videos...
From my experience the crew dislikes the journey more often then the captain. He/she does not have the time to worry, the boat needs to get to the dock.
De vraag werd veel gesteld, dus ik heb een 'copy/paste' antwoord: Lady Liselot is a 1980 GRP Blue Ocean Trawler and is build on the Lien Hwa Boat Yard (Lien Hwa Inmdustrial Corporation). Lien Hwa Boat Yard was established in 1978 in Taipei, Taiwan. Building boats for several OEM partners included Blue Ocean (Holland - power boats), Little Harbor (US - sail boats), Marine Trader (US - power boats), Trade Winds (US - power boats), Mckinna Yachts, Yanmar boats.
That was interesting. I have a feeling I could learn Dutch quickly. Your 'ch' sounds like our pronunciation of such words as loch. Getting the sounds right is half the battle with another language. You say 'yetty' for jetty. We say it with j pronounced as the g in gut for instance. Dutch must have a soft pronunciation of letter j. Do you ever have crew ?

Hi Henk how are those new engines now? Also any plans for visiting Ramsgate again? take good care of yourself ⚓
Smooth like a baby. And if I pick a better weather window, even London should be a destination.
please let us know when you are back in the water with your new engines :) Frank from Australia. (downunder)

@@LadyLiselot ah ok thanks. Ga ik dat ook eens bekijken.

I know my pronunciation is to much Dutch. The moment my crew is aboard, the camera is off most of the time and I am focused on her.
@@LadyLiselot it wasn't a criticism at all. I admire anyone who can communicate in another language. Your English is good.
I speak irish and found dutch natural to pronounce when living there.
Dank weer! 2. Welk bouwjaar is Lady Liselotte?

Stuurboord tot het bittere einde!!!!😂
Lachen toch?
👍
2:50 Daarom heb je twee marifoons nodig.
Could you please give your speed in knots, I am not into kilometers per mile or for everyone, please use both if you remember.
All inland traffic in Europe uses km's. The moment we are at sea we switch to knots.
