    Randy, I have to say my favorite tip from you is to break up the salt in the plastic by rubbing it to the surface.
    I fish a tube quite a bit in the spring with a rattle inserted in the tube, but I’m going to try the bead this year.
    Thanks for all the tips, keep them coming. I believe that there is something to learn everyday. Whether you think you know it or not, there are little things a person can learn if you pay close attention to details.

    I've watch a lot of video's about tubes because I didn't know how to properly rig and fish them but since watching your video yours is the only one that makes sense to me. You are the only one who rubs the tube up and cuts a slit in it and let me tell you the next time I go out I'm going to take your tip and do mine that way. Thanks Randy!

    Randy, when you talk about breaking up the salt on plastics, is this best done on the plastic you're getting ready to fish or can you break up the salt on them prior to tournament days while in the bag while prepping. What are the best times to fish a tube? Does flipping the tube tend to land bigger fish versus maybe using on a dropshot in the fall?

    Great tips man. I use die on my tubs 99percent of the time. One thing I would tell everyone that use the bead MAKE SURE ITS NOT GLASS. I learned that the hard way. Those tungsten weights will crack the glass beads and you will break off an the hook set just about every time. The baits can be used in other ways to, I've caught a lot of fish on a carolina rig. It's funny that you used a smoke red tube! That's my buddy's favorite color, mine is smoke purple. Anyways safe safe. Tight lines and Semper Fi.

    I love a tube that I believe is discontinued along with the entire line. The “smash tube” which was a Berkeley Havoc bait designed by Mike Iaconelli. Anybody else like it? I’m going to hit Matt Stephen up and see if he knows where I can get some more. I have several packs in white with the chartreuse underside and being so flat and soft I think they are the best flipping tube I’ve ever used.

  • @wolverinex4243
    @wolverinex4243 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Basic rigging. I know a few methods never seen before. Ever done it weedless trebled? The right size and colors were the Walmart demo run by that bargain brand. I believe it was YUM. They don't make them no more so I'm not going to be quoted. Even the larger Gizits do not match their versatility and effectiveness. All tubes are about the same in movements or flexibility. The only difference that will make it the best is having the right size and color. Like I have sad, none have that of the Yum's demo run. And tubes are best run to swim like shad, not with weights like that at bottom. You have to understand it is used by the mass as a creature or craw type imitation. For the bottom, many other things can better catch fish. Thus, only those who can make them swim are elites, esp. weedless with trebles over grass and boulders. Also, this method always put the hook in the throat so you never miss a decent fish.

    I can tell you this. While diving we find lures we usually tease the fish to get their attention. Nothing got the attention more than a silver tube w glitter . Every trout & bass emptied the shipwreck following us, each taking several nips. Approx 17 followed.
    Also, crayfish make bass go nuts, they will take it right of your hand as you pick it off the bottom.

    Wondering about using the peg on this rig just a few inches up the line. That way the weight doesn't get too far from the bead and possibly create less hang-ups. Plus you'd have more bang for your bead if it isn't too far from the weight. Just be clicking away!
