For a great campaign, look into Operation Flashpoint. It is basically a planetary civil war set during the FedCom Civil War that the PCs are involved in. It even have tips to set the campaign in different eras and units other than mercs. I have run it multiple times.
Re: Converting from AToW to AGoAC on page 40... Only the Skill level is subtracted from the TN according to the text box. No consideration of Linked Attributes for exceptionally high or low Reflexes & Dexterity?
That appears to be the case. In general, if a rule book doesn't tell you to do something (like add the link mod), you don't do it. We may need to leave the link mod out because, in TW, a pilot doesn't take negative modifiers as they take damage, but in AToW, they do.
Really really good series of videos. Do you know of a conversion from mechwarrior 2 to atow. The reason I ask is I have a lot " Dozens " of npc's from the old era of mechwarrior 2.
my man i would love to play in this i've been a dungeon master for years and this sounds like you're already miles ahead of most people with your TTRPG experience especially
@@biggrigg4281 i've ran since 2003 D&D 3.5 was the first one but we quickly tried GURPS and vampire the masquerade. Now we've gone from D&D5e to pathfinder 2e. I've never ran a battletech aToW before but i have a group of 4 players that are all excited to play. Thanks for helping me with the rules and your google doc cheat sheets are pretty handy as well.

Yes. Pages 94-101 of the AToW Companion have rules for conversions from previous role-playing editions.
And thanks for enjoying the series.
