Totally new to the game and the War Hammer genre. I wanted to give it a try though and bought this game recently during a Steam sale. I had no idea just how massively complex it was. I am missing so much basic info that I hesitate to start :) Watching this vid has been a help and I'll be looking for other vids that can go over the very basics of this game before becoming lost and frustrated. Thanks for providing some much appreciated help on the game and its mechanics.

Bought this upon release when it was still trying to be a "Tactical ARPG". Never really dove in deep but this seems to be the right time to. Especially with seasonal journey. Nice to see a really succinct guide up for it after all these years. Cheers

Thx a lot, some good tips. Since the 3rd beta of Diablo IV made me refund the game I'm back into this here, started a long time ago my first char up to lvl 6 or so, now made a new one and I'm currently lvl27.
Even if Diablo IV is "about 4 times as good as Martyr" as one guy told me, the world of 40K is about 40 times more enthralling to me and the art work in this game is beautiful.
@@MrMightyZ I'm just very sad that Blizzard is where it is now. The story about Diablo is a great fantasy story with lot of religious impressions from the real life. It could have been evolved into something even bigger. I had a great time with D3 I played almost every season but the release of this game was my biggest videogame letdown of all time. My expectations were just way too high. One example were the amount of CG cutscenes, I thought we would get many cutscenes, in the end the spoilert 2 out of 4 before release and in D4 there are only 2 and 1 1/2 they showed also before release. Well my journey will go on without Blizzard. At least there are a plenty of great ARPGs o experience. At the moment I'm back to Hero Siege and they are about to release a big content patch at the end of the year (version 2.0). Oh and the Warhammer 40K universe is fucking great, I'm not even at the tip of the iceberg in terms of knowledge about this franchise but I can remember when I was young my brother used to play Space Crusade on the Amiga Commodore 500 and I can still remember the artstyle and things that go on in this game.
Bought the ps5 ultimate version not too long ago Other then very disappointing lack of 60 fps mode on the PS5 version the game is solid with lots of depth and fun gameplay. Campaign was pretty uninteresting and overlong but overall im enjoying it a lot. Surprising how dead it is on all playforms. Would be nice if there was cross play.
Something i theory craft atm. Its not ready yet, Im playing her seasonal, so i have to grind out some items first. When its ready I will make a guide for it.

Yes it is possible to get the opposite Armor or weapon drops, the drop chance is just much lower. But you wont be able to use them on that character, the Enchant will be greyed out and doesnt work.
@@theCheeserChannel hm that's a bit disappointing, I'll probably start over or at least start a 2nd character, I would have thought that "Blessing of Saint Victorious" with the armor enchantment of 100% HP reg and around 10k HP would have been a good combo, sounds much better than the other stuff and then you don't need the warp resistance and the 4% hp that you get offered by puritan. seems to me as if I have fallen into a noob trap. correct me if I am wrong nice greetings

they both have their benefits, you can check out their respective Passive skill trees, their perks each of them gives you 1, and you can check out the different Enchants they provide: mome-borogove.github.io/40K-enchant-viewer/
As a new player I would go for the Crusader Class, he has tons of weapon choices and good defensive passives and perks, which makes it easier to survive. And if you are playing any Melee weapon, then you can get Shield and Life drain as Enchants on them, which makes again surviving much easier. For a beginner I would recommend getting as soon as possible an Enrage token source on a Relic Item and socketing the Heat Aura Doctrine as soon as you get the Psalm Codes. This will give you enough of a damage boost to easily run all Void Crusades. You also always want to apply vulnerabilities, so if you play with Physical damage weapon, get the physical damage tree there you get a passive to apply them on crits, the same for heat weapons. And there are some more Passives and perks that also let you apply vulnerabilities. Those give you another huge damage boost. Probably the Crusader, especially for beginners. It has tons of builds for Melee and Ranged and yea you are pretty much a Space Marine. But if you speak of raw power, then the Psyker for sure. And the new Sororitas Class after that.
