Most experienced lawyers may not be an expert on all of these procedural and evidentiary rules, but they should at least know the basics about these things if they expect to be appointed for life to the Federal Bench.
The Federal Reserve appointments come across as ideological hacks.
One is left with the distinct impression that these candidates are all unqualified affirmative action appointments who don’t know the subject matter they will be dealing with, with their decisions affecting millions of Americans’ lives.

Really? This is EXACTLY what every single republican president nominated Supreme Court Judge has been doing for the last 40ish years when questioned by democrats, independents, or even Republicans who ask them anything remotely uncomfortable for them (that would be pretty much anything related to how they would actually rule on important issues or how they interpret important or controversial laws) and conservatives across the country applauded the behavior then. Seems almost like you might have a double standard and don't actually have a genuine moral concern about the behavior 🤔 🤣

Most of them are really good at this...unfortunately. It's what gets some people totally confused, because it sounds good! But it's really bullshit, and people hate to have to realize they've been bullshitted and they never even noticed. Really hate it, but, it's okay. Each of these women attemps the "word salad" response, knowing he will not allow it--their incompetence is put on full display. Each tries to weather the storm while maintaining their composure.

Don't underestimate the level of intelligence required of nominees--to be able to evaluate the ability of the questioner to handle the responses.
