    Thank you for the great sermon, with practical methods to overcome the temptation. I have failed countless times to be faithful despite having known Christ. The struggle I face is incapacitating and overpowering. I haven't sought the God daily and fervently. So far up to now I feel miserable following giving up into sexual sins. It has been habitual and private. I request people reading to remember me in your prayers and for all those who are struggling with this particular sin. I also request the uploader to upload more videos which can help people real time with such insightful practical approach as most people turn to such videos at the wake of a crisis and they are useful in directing them in right direction.

    I was talking with my Christian brother at Church. We were talking about how difficult sexual immorality was of any kind. No matter how difficult it is, it's still a choice!

    I've tried to delete and restrict all "provisions" for my addiction. I found that, it only made the temptation greater.

      you need to know that God is greater than that, and call upon his name. stay busy, confess your weakness, but know that failure isn't an option.

      +Remmy Canadian brother i feel for you, i struggle myself. I recently entered a recovery program called Celebrate Recovery and its helping. Stay in the game with God get with brothers you can be honest with and ask them to hold you accountable for your sobriety. God will heal the areas of your heart as you allow honesty and bring those things out of the dark and into the light which breaks much of the power of the urges. Make time to feed on God's word and pray and i mean talk honestly to God and pour out your heart and frustrations and he can handle it. This will build security in your soul. Hope this helps man. Be strong and courageous man!

    I was sexually immoral with pornography and wanted to be healed. I would sin, cry to God and beg forgiveness only to find myself doing it again later. I hated and repulsed myself for it and James 5:16 came to mind. I confessed it to a few men at the church and they told me if I didn't tell my wife, they would. So I did. My wife was shattered and asked the church what to do. They said don't think twice. Divorce him. Then the church let me know I was no longer welcome, that they knew all along I wasn't a "real"Christian because a real Christian would never sin over and over and over again. I was ostracized. My wife sent letters to everybody I knew - my father, neices, nephews, neighbors telling them what a "pervert" I am and why they should withdrawl all love and support and cut off relationships with me. She told them pornography is a step towards rape and child molestation so their children are no longer safe with me. It has been 15 years now and I no longer go to church. I no longer watch pornography, but I also have completely lost all trust in people. I trust Jesus, but his followers are the worst people I have ever met in my life.

      Hey my man, I'm a new christian and I wanna guard myself from that. Your experience seems applicable to my life so far. And first of all, if they followed Christ and you asked them for forgiveness, surely they should forgive you, just as God would. Bless you man, don't give up faith in people. We're all sinners and we all fall short, but I pray that someone comes your way to show you what the love of God truly looks like. In Jesus name, Amen. Take care.

      @@mackymusic673 My advice to you is to find a Christian brother who does not know your wife and does not go to church with you. Find a man who is godly but will not use his knowledge of your sin to hurt you. Accountability to another Christian to help you through repentance will be successful only if you can fully trust the Christian as you trust Christ himself.

    Please don't take this as criticism but one pastor said not all promises in the
    book are ours. He has never
    prosperd me, and now it's too late to do so. Plus I am not married, I've got no one.
    But I will take the rest to heart. May his mighty name
    be praised.

      I always wondered about that passage in Jeremiah. It's often used today as a quote to Christians in general but what if it was meant for just that group of people at that time?

    Minute 46. "Obeying God's commandments into godliness IS LEGALISM". Sorry but the Bible disagrees with that statement. Titus 2.11 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world;" This is not legalism, it is godliness. Legalism is following man-made commandments to try to earn your own salvation. NOT THE SAME THING.

    • @carbine090909
      @carbine090909 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Good point, and I would add that legalism is also following God-given commandments at the expense of loving Him or your neighbor. It could be argued that ALL CAPS PRONOUNCEMENTS and "I'm sorry, but, you're wrong" snarks would be examples of legalism too, because they are divisive, if only in your own heart. God bless you brother, and your diligent studies of the Word.
