Lunar is one of my favorite RPGs, in large part cause the story was ultimately uplifting and based on the relationship with Alex and Luna. At the time the cut scenes on the PS1 were so engrossing and helped the world building

Do Notice on this video Jean is IN her Karate uniform for the White dragon boss NORMALLY in Eternal Blue that's impossible she only unlocks that form AFTER that same boss IS killed never BEFORE.
It doesn't look like they've changed too much so far. And they've posted details on the Playstation blog - "widescreen support, enhanced pixel art, HD animated cutscenes, and all-new English voice acting. Players can choose to either go old school with the original visuals or go remastered for a more modern look." They've also added quality of life stuff like speeding up battles. Should be great!
Next to the Suikoden I & II HD Remasters, this is easily my second most anticipated upcoming release. Being able to play these both portably on my Switch is a dream come true. Cannot wait!!!
@@anggasurbakti8269 arc the lad: twilight of the spirits was pretty good. end of darkness was a sister though, I'll give them credit for having a protagonist of colour in that game but aside from that the game is terrible, they replaced the strategic gameplay with some crappy action battle system and the story sucks.
Looking forward to it. We still need a Chrono Trigger and Alundra remake. Hopefully they don't screw this up. Stick to source material, don't censor everything, add extra content for the remake and release...
They did that For the PSP version in fact that version starts with the OLD hero's all 4 of them at lv 99 they can't die since they have a permanent Auto Revive effect but the BOSS fight in the PSP version using the lv 99 party is basically a fight similar to Eternal Blue's ZOPHAR battle and has similar dialogue for when its 3rd form DIES.
Great video! I'm excited, yet concerned about translation/censorship. It should help lower Sega CD and PS1 physical prices which will be good for the consumer.
No instead the PSP version added a boss fight at the start of the game that's similar to Eternal Blue's "Zophar" boss once that boss is killed on the PSP version dies it switches control to Alex and company. But on the PSP version Nall carries over your items you don't need to actually equip healing items OUT of battles to use them in battle unlike the PS1/Sega CD versions of Lunar 1 that is.
If they dont put the original ps1 english dub on it i wont buy it! For the PSP remake they put only a new english dub on it and it was a nightmare!!! Thy even changes the main theme Song! I only want it with the ps1 dub!!!!! The PS 1 Lunar games brought me into J RPG Games.

Yeah I was blown away to hear anything about Lunar at all.
From what we know, the scripts are Working Designs based, with all the pop culture jokes removed while the voice acting is new.

I'm a bit nervous about then changing things. The working designs versions and the original Playstation version graphics were great.

@ABELLISACUPWD dub probably complicated rights wise, which is why the Complete version of both games haven't been released in so long.

I played only the first one on the SEGA CD. One of the greatest RPGs ever to exist. Now I can finally play the sequel on my Xbox!
Going to be $59.99-$69.99 so save up them pennies this is going to be AWESOME sauce baby
Maybe after they do the lunar collection they'll do the Ark the lad collection cause I would love to see that series come back
That series already over though in Arc 3 with that game showing the result of Arc 2 ending. Don't know why the series continued in ps2

I hope they add in the Remake parts, like the prologue with the old heros.

I love Lunar!!!! Too bad I played the games using an emulator. I'll play them again though.

Didn't Silver Star Harmony add Epilogue scenes? Maybe they'll carry some of that over. Guess we'll have to wait and see.

Do these games actually have Bill Clinton references?
After looking it up apparently it was the Sega CD translation that had the Clinton reference from a random shopkeeper in a town called Nota.

The sega cd version is the superior version though. Ps1 complete ones were so watered down and cut out the entire world map exploration aspect.
