New Mills Mayflower | Thompson B1 61306 'Mayflower' - "The Christmas White Rose" - 23/11/24

BR(E) built Thompson B1 61306 'Mayflower' passes through New Mills with Saphos Trains' "The Christmas White Rose" tour to York. Having just passed through New Mills Central Station, we catch the tour as it passes by Torr Vale Mill. The former Grand II* listed cotton mill dates back to the late 18th century, and continued to produce products until as late as 2000. Since then, the mill has been utilised for commercial and office space.
