The track is very good! I see you like guitar pedals, try some valve-powered fx with 12ax tube, you'll love it.I'm using Korg EMX1, has 2 tubes stereo output with gain control, can do strange and sound crystal clear, used in my tracks since 2012. Best wishes bro. Keep the vibe!
I suggest you get the Korg nanokontrol studio. It’s portable and Bluetooth and that way you wouldn’t have to keep turning around to start and stop your dog as it has a scrub wheel, record, play as well as mixer and panning controls and mutes on it.
Awesome Jon! Could you do a tutorial about how to set up your MIDI? I also want to trigger the midi in my daw to play it in my synth, but I don’t got it right! Or could someone help me out? I am using Ableton 11 :)
What synth are you using? I just have a keyboard (Yamaha PSR-E463) and use it as a MIDI controller, which I've plugged into my computer using a USB connection and link it up to play sounds from the Sylenth1. To set it up, I had to download the drivers from the Yamaha website in order to make it work.
@@Stormgnome Hey, i'm aware of the software part, but whats about the right interface or something? I am using an Apollo TWIN USB and it has no MIDI out. I want to work with my Roland JV 1010, Yamaha DX7s and Behringer Deepmind 12D. Regards :)
@@cubexBeats The Beringer 12D should have a pass-through function for MIDI signals between USB-port, MIDI-port, and Wifi. Make sure you turn on the "USB>MIDI-THRU" option. Starting with the Behringer a single chain of MIDI THRU -> IN - THRU -> IN should do the trick. Keep track of which MIDI channels you are sending on and what channels the synths are listening to. As for getting the audio back in: If you don't want to replace your Apollo expanding it with an ADAT may be an option.
A single effectpedal is just called a pedal, guitarist usually gleu a lot of pedals on a "board" to keep them together and that's what's called a pedalboard. I first thought you just mixed it up but already in a few video's you're doing this so just for your knowledge. Nice vid again!
What’s the piece with the 16 pads I guess would be to your right looks like it has 2. Handles in the middle and green lights to the left ? Is it a livid controller?
I liked the first tone you had with the bass at 5:35 with the initial second oscillator. The high pitch over top would have sounded awesome for a tech house type track. You should have kept that!
Hi Jon, really good to see you've got the SP16 going! Would you consider getting the Toraiz Squid, its very interesting multi-squence add on to the SP16 (and more), plus may be, if interested, there also the Toraiz AS-1. Would love to see you do more of these videos of getting ideas down using gear - its quite inspiring too!

Love this kind of video. Would love to see more like this in the future!
Wow just amazing, need this type of video once a week so that we can understand about how gear works actually...
Jon I would say you greatest weekness, aside from gear, is your kick drum
you make me so angry! is a cassette player, make a delay out of it, create loops!!! there is so much you can do!
Sure will explore it in the coming days

Was thinking about the iPad logic app
Remember all those classic songs that still sound great today, and that were released on tape
connect something to the sony tape, go in and out no tape needed. Drive the input or output and you'll see :)
For real, saturated line amps are so beautiful.
You can't beat tactile equipment - nothing wrong with virtual keyboards but turning a knob or clicking a button is great
You ever think about using Ableton push 2, with Ableton live 11? For your type of music I think you’ll love the push 2 with live 11.

Basically, the easiest way is to use the External instruments plugin.
