- Normally when I'm introduced to a new oud fragrance, my knees buckle a bit in apprehension to that pungent 'OUD' kick that these fragrances bring.
So when Kevin (from Oligarch) invited me to review the Amouroud range I was up for the challenge but equal part hesitant, considering that these are all Oud based fragrances.......until I tested!
Amouroud skilfully blends these fragrances to ensure that the 'Oud' note is there to compliment the other notes and not take over.....these are incredible and highly unique fragrances.

Fantastically done guys.your guys style is always over the top.Amouroud is a great house,they claim to be using real oud in some of their offerings and that’s what stops me from talking about them bcs I honestly don’t think they do use real oud,the effect of real oud is always noticeable even when used in small doses,but overall I appreciate this house.thanks for sharing your thoughts guys.
Thanks Bardissan, I know that you have a deep love for Oud; so really appreciate your feedback and comments. Have you had a chance to test out their Elixir collection? I would love to know your thoughts on these, in particular your thoughts on the Oud that they use.

Next week we are reviewing the original collection, and Oud Tabac is in that mix. That is one AWESOME Fragrance♥️
In the white Woods collection the big stand out hits for me are Wet Stone and Silver Birch

I’ve herd some good feed back on white honiki. I own wet stone great fragrance. As for oud thing I don’t think they use real oud it’s synthetic. (So I’ve herd ) great review as always 👍

Max Forti and one of the guys from Amouroud and the fragrances they were talking about (Oud du Jour, the Elixir range etc) all were carrying actual Oud. But I’m going to explore this further, cos I’m interested to know.

I will be moving from New York to Florida next year and I was wondering how I can wear my Frederic Malle’s, Nasomatto’s, Boadicea’s and Oud/Rose fragrances in a tropical climate? Any recommendations for beast mode Boadicea’s for Florida climate?
Any suggestions are greatly appreciated!
Hey Robert great to hear from you and if I understand your question right; you would like to know how to create longevity with these fragrances in a tropical/humid environment??
If this is correct, then I have to say this is a tough question for me as I can't share any personal experience on this. The only knowledge that I have is that there is molecular fragrances that have a neutral or soft musk tone to them that enhance the other fragrances that are sprayed in conjunction.
One such that I've heard a lot of great things about is Juliett Has A Gun, This is not a perfume. I've been told that this will enhance any other fragrance....but again, I've never tested personally, so don't know 100%

Does Wet Stone kind of walk in the same path as Tom Ford's Oud Minerale?
Good question, but don’t know… Haven’t had a chance to try out the Tom Ford fragrance. In looking at the notes, it does have some similarities.
How did the Silver Birch perform?
I’ve been testing out the Silver
Birch for the last month. This fragrance is a rockstar!
Overall I’m getting 6 to 7 hours with its longevity and I’m finding that it’s sillage is pretty good (about a moderate).
To define it, in my books this is a leathery fig fragrance. Totally unique. Not getting any Oud notes (well at least not to my nose)
