Thanks for filming the request! They really sound the same. Purchase decision should depend on if you need the extra volume of the DBR12. Thanks also for the shout out for my channel :)
You're welcome and no problem!! I agree, I think with the Yamaha series it's all about max SPL that you might need for your use case and how well they hold together and stay clean because they sure sound very similar.
Good question. I didn't watch the video back but if I remember correctly they each sound so much like each other I'm not sure if it matters. I think proper EQ would help create the best sounding speaker in this situation. I believe I would let application dictate which speaker to get. Mostly spoken word, acoustic & vocal music, small band with subs - DBR10. Loud / larger band with subs expecting to play large venues with high SPL - DBR12. Keep in mind the DBR12 has a larger advertised compression driver. Hope that helps!
@@Sooo6107 yep you're correct. I adjust my guitar all the time during gigs depending on whether it's a fast strumming song or slow picking song. Of course I have a monitor right in front of a during gigs so I can hear the mix better. Thanks 👍
I've been struggling to chose between the dbr10 or 12.. Despite a great review I'm still undecided. Do you think the 12s are a lot more powerful? I'm a 5'2" lady so if there's not a big difference in volume the weight might swing it. 😁
@@Mollygowerprobably depends on the application. In my experience, I do not think the DBR12 has a lot more output than the DBR10. The SPL ratings are very close on them. We're primarily acoustic duo with two vocals and a guitar and the DBR10s have been just fine volume wise. I think I have another video where I am playing both of them or one of them at 28 yards or something outside. If you are putting a full band through them, the 12 may be a more practical way to go since it has a larger compression driver and a bigger woofer. But if not I think the 10 is just fine. I was communicating with a guy a couple of months ago who was using two DBR10 tops over a couple subs for his full band and said he was happy with them.
Big thanks to my son for helping out with the camera!!
Vocals are crisper on the 10’s.
@@cgmagee thank you 👍

i love your voice, good sound check
Thank you very much!!
Been looking at these 2 for awhile. Which one would you prefer for clairty and vocals?

Wow, the dbr10 "speak" more than dbr12 kkk I stay in the doubt too.
Are you considering buying the DBR10 or DBR12?
Maybe the DBR12 to take advantage of the investment and have a more robust box for the 12 speaker. But I'm not entirely sure.@@JHGurganus
@@israelvelosoferreira got it. Good luck I was happy with both the dbr10 and 12 when I had them.
Vocals are good and strong on both speakers. Guitar could be stronger. Thanks mate 🎸👍🏻
Thank you brother! 🎙️
I'm just a beginner to this but I think we can fix this by adjusting volume of the instrument input or with mixer.

Hell yeah thanks for this. Ps do u have neighbors haha
You're welcome and yessir have neighbors!! Cool ones fortunately 😎
The DBR10 has more bass than the DBR12.
Thx. Yeah it's crazy isn't it? Same settings on the mixer and speakers but the 10" has more bass.
