i did the same thing as you did to the blade and imported a new guard,grip and pommel and created a whole new asset but when i try to do the same thing with same logic for creating a another item im getting application crashed error

on blender, select the blade during edit mode, use hotkey Ctrl+Shift+N or Ctrl+N I think, that would recalculate normals, if necessary, you also need to use Alt+N to invert normals
it’s actually a trial and error, since sometimes blender can’t understand which side of the mesh should be in the wrong side. Sometimes you need to manually select the faces that was invisible and flip it’s normals, you might have to try it multiple times or you could search youtube on how to see the direction of normals on blender so that you won’t have to guess which faces are facing the wrong direction.

hi i have a problem, i tried to implement my own blade according to the instructions and nvm why, i don't see it in smithy, i see the added line, but the blade is not visible as if the game doesn't see mesh, so i tried to do a step by step tutorial, i used the same weapon to he knew where I could make a mistake, and anyway the blade is not visible. I've checked both the code and the model about 10 times, and I still don't know where I could have made a mistake. can you give me some advice?
the first time i added my blade so i saw it it was just huge, like gigantically, then i changed the texture and it disappeared and not only gigantically i was broken as if fused together but it is weird that he took the same steps here according to this tutorial and I don't see the blade in the game.
i did everything you told and it was okay in first time then i added a new asset to the game i wrote the codes but when i was starting the game in launcher i starded it in safe mode by mistake and it started without mode and there was nothing in inventory, i restarted the game safe mod off and there was still nothing in the inventory
hmm, safe mode will only affect your game settings, it will reset it, but mods? I don’t think they will be affected, try looking on smithy if your weapon part you made is there

I have seen your tutorial on adding your own helmets, but could you make a similar tutorial as this one, just with armor. I have tried to add a custom made helmet where everything appears to work correctly. I can see it in, in-game inventory and i can inspect the Helmet to get a better look. But when i equip it, the game crashes idk why. Because of your vidz i am trying to mod myself.
Yes, I will add tutorials about rigging armors, your helmet might have a very high poly thats why it cause crashes when you equip it, try to decimate it on blender. the other cause could be it has no material, you said you can inspect it and it looks fine so this might not be the cause, but if you have atleast 1 LOD of that helmet that has no material, it could still crash
@@bannerlab180 after testing several hours i realized that i imported the helmet and the armature that caused the helmet to glitch out of the user whenever he moved (tested this in model view). So looks like you're not supposed to import the armor with the armature? edit: nope still crashes even if it attaches normally in model viewer
the glitch would have been caused by exporting your helmet from blender without disabling “add leaf bones” how many polygons your helmet have? you can see it on top right corner when you double click your helmet in resource browser, chat me on discord for easier reach out, Genpog #1106

when you import the mesh to the modding tool, theres a settings that you have to choose, it is millimeter by default (mm) change it to meter (m)

the video is outdated, but you should check the weapon_descriptiom.xml inside Native/ModuleData that is the new thing they add on latest release

I'm going to try it for the third time, as they say for the third time.
when you import your mesh to modding tool, make sure that you choose meter (m) instead of millimeter (mm) on settings during mesh import.

it might have a same existing name, try changing the item name through blender if it still persist
