Compare this to entertainment today. How far we have fallen. Always wish I got to see Johnny cash. Closet I came was getting to sit on a dock where Johnny used to fish on in Florida. June Carters parents owned a house along the river that dumped into gulf and he would go down and fish. I was talking to old men who owned the local bait shop there and they met him several times. They said he was most down to earth and real guy they ever met.
@@QuantumGamingUploads His guitar playing went from incredible to impossible, in that he did things with guitar performance that I don’t think has ever been equaled. He did it so easily, and had so much fun, people didn’t take him seriously.
Absolutely the hardest I've laughed and cried at the same time. I can't believe I've never seen this. These two legends are responsible for my speed when I play thrash metal. Love this!
@@randymiles904: I agree but I liked his serious side even better. His version of Aznavour’s translated ‘Yesterday When I Was Young’ is as perfect as a song gets. And his version of ‘Malagueña’ using a flat pick instead of fingers is impressive but looks like a lot of unnecessary work, lol. His flat picking is good and it’s fun but in my opinion the best flat picker ever is Molly Tuttle and I doubt I’ll live to see anyone better.
Roy Clark is PHENOMENAL on an instrument. I think he can play as Good as ANYONE who's EVER played. He don't get the recognition like Eric Clapton, Jimmie Hendricks, or Eddie Van Halen, but he can play just as good, or BETTER than them. He's FUCKING PHENOMENAL!!!!
Roy Clark was the Curly Howard of the guitar world. What a talent. What an entertainer. And Johnny Cash was no slouch either. Folsom Prison Blues is one of the best songs ever written by anyone.
I remember seeing Hee Haw when I was young, but I’m almost ashamed to say (but I’m learning) I had no idea what a supreme talent Roy Clark was. One of a kind humor & entertainer, & an absolute guitar wizard!
God damn, to see 2 legends in 1 stage, the fact that Roy's talent and showmanship, combined with the idea he can make Johnny Cash smoke which I've never seen ever, this has to be one of the greatest music performances I've ever seen. If not the greatest ever.
This is one of my favorite performances. My dad who passed away almost 10 years ago now while I was still a teen, he loved Johnny Cash and even saw him live and we used to watch Hee Haw together and laugh at Roy Clark and Buck Owens and the rest of the cast's jokes and listened to all the music. It's one of my most favorite memories of my dad. He was from Tennessee, and I loved hearing all his stories since we are in the Midwest now, and I never really been to TN, just through it. I dont like most country music, but I'll always listen to and appreciate the older legends ❤
an amazing era . Don't think anyone gonna ever experience that kinda talent to be seen in their life time . Who woulda thought to play music with a glass ? .

Bless you fellers.for a wonderful world of happiness and joy.because of you played for us.and we have a place in our hearts just for you two.thanks . and may God bless you all .
The only occasion the man in black Johnny Cash smiled and showed a happy face was when working with Roy Clark.
It took everything Johnny had not to cry. 😂

June Carter's parents!
Roy Clark was unbelievable on that guitar. I think Cash enjoyed the humor.
I am sure every person loved Mr Roy Clark. He was such a good hearted and funny person. His guitar playing was even better.
Yes it was unbelievable how good he was. He could play anything with strings on it.

Roy Clark is in the top three guitarists of all time. The man was a wizard with six strings.

@@vondrewvious1 awsome. I'll check it out. Thank you for the recommendation.

Man, the smile on Cash's face for the bit with the drinking glass says it all.
I love that comedic flair of Roy Clark.

Roy Clark was just a guy that was just fun to be around. Such a great performance here with Johnny.

They are both gone but not forgotten! Roy was a genius in playing instruments 🎸
Well said, if it had strings Roy could play it😁
What I love most about Roy Clark, at least from the clips I've seen is, he gets excited and enjoys what he's doing.
Two true legends.
👏 Every once in a while I miss those old guys, and Hee-Haw.
Me too, and how things used to be. The older I get, the harder it is.
Cash and Clark… damn.
It's 2024, end of days, and they still sound amazing, I'll never get tried of Johnny and Roy Clark. 😅😊🎉

THAT'S ENTERTAINMENT.... TALENT IN SPADES.... RIP TWO IRREPLACEABLE GIANTS.
Gotta give props to the rhythm section behind keeping the nice tempo for these legends. Amazing! Not that they need it of course
Never thought I’d see someone play a guitar with a glass. And then a shoe… I think I’d like to see someone play a guitar with another guitar now.
Roy Clark reminds me of my Grandpa but without the guitar playing lol
Heck yeah Roy & Johnny are awesome
Pure Legends !!!

I loved these two!! They were so good.
I love this song legends 🤠🎶🎸♥️
Kudos to the band to not only keep up with the odd timing of the key changes, but to also keep the beat going when not changing. Well oiled machine.
These two. Each great, but together is fantastic.
I just caught myself smiling the whole time watching this. True legends, I was fortunate to have lived in the same time to enjoy their music.
