I'm about to start my second year of the IB Diploma Program and I aspire to be an Actuary. I was on the verge of giving up IB until I watched this video. I wish you all the best in your career.
Hi. Interesting topic. Can you kindly do a video explaining what is actuarial peer review is all about. I would like to understand it in detail. Thanks
Wow!! First of all, I thank God for you and your channel cause it’s really what I was looking for today . I just discovered your channel. So I’m also an Actuarial Science Student (4th year) and I wanted to do internship but I am so scared cause I really don’t know what the society offers or what I can offer . The fact I now have to start looking into getting a job is so scary for me so I was actually thinking to myself that I should start a TH-cam channel showcase my career journey so that it could be of help to somebody out there who is in me position. So concerning internship, I don’t even know where to start , or whether I’m qualified enough or what to expect either . So I was just hoping I could find a fellow African like me that’s probably gone through what I’m going through then as I was searching on TH-cam ,boom 💥 you appeared. I’m soo soo grateful for your channel and I’m super excited to binge watch your videos (this is my first video I’m watching in your channel) . Please keep such content coming!!! 🔥🔥🔥Definitely gained a whole subscriber

Hey 💕 which universities in the US do you recommend for an undergrad planning on doing actuarial? And also is actuarial science the same as actuarial maths ?
Hey , what advice would you give a high school student who wants to pursue a career in actuarial science? I'm in grade 11 ,South Africa and I'd like to get more insight of how a high school student's average results who wants to study actuarial science should look like.
In South Africa, to get into one of the top actuarial Uni's(Stellies, Wits, Pretoria,UCT, North West), you need at least 80% for maths. Also, take additional math if possible, its not compulsory but it will make first easier for you. Also, note that the average actuarial student probably had 90% in matric maths. Work hard and all the best with your matric. Also, visit www.actuarialsociety.org.za for more info
Hi, how hard is it for a newly qualified South African actuary to find a job in the USA? What do you think is the best way to move to USA? I'm aware that the options are limited since the South African society only has mutual recognition with CAS only and not SOA.
Hi. It is definitely going to be harder especially that most employers would rather prefer actuaries in the SOA.I would say a lot of experience might build a comparative advantage for you in this case, but they may still eventually want you to pursue the SOA track as I don't think the SOA has exam exemptions unfortunately. Everything is possible though
Hey i wanna do actuary but from an approach of first obtaining a bcom econmics degree and a BSC maths n stats stream degree but will this path help me... currently am finishing my national diploma in chemical engineering but my passion for maths is still growing very deep...
Hey. In USA, your bachelors degree does not entirely qualify you to be an actuary but having those degrees will help with taking the professional exams. They require a bachelors degree (Econ/Math is fine) when starting off but together with some exams passed
Hi my sister, hope you still good. I needed to ask how can one migrate to being an actuary when having a bachelor's degree in economics, what steps can one take?
Tsepo Masanabo In SA I think the process is different depending on the university. You may need to do an actuarial science bridging course for maybe 2 years and start taking exams
You're doing good babe and congrats and all the best on your job🤗🤗🤗
I am writing my 1st exam in July. I'm glad I found your channel
