    I have no idea if they read these comments but if you do @Oculus
    I use fusion 360 for cad design and 3d printing, If you incorporate this it would be a significant game changer and make it easier to work with more complex designs.

      if you pay for gravity sketch pro you can theoretically export into your pipeline with .igs and .fbx i have had some issues with it and there support is abysmal but the default export is .obj so printing is easy

From my quick Google search, I have found out that one of the first known prototypes was from 2014 and that there was a kickstarter (from before facebook acquired oculus) in 2012. 2. They'll need to make more gadgets that can connect to the VR systems even with the treadmills in hand.
    3. I hope voxon photonics will find a way to put their holograms and VR together.

    All those comments talking about how they're hyped to play VR, even though this video is meant for commercial purposes. We need to focus more on addressing the real issues, like small businesses being unable to use Oculus commercially unless they pay huge premium and annual costs, and how impossible it is for companies to "create Facebook accounts", which FB has the right to ban (along with any purchases, and needless to say causing a huge interruption in service). Today's kids are okay with ban or even update costing them dozens of hours to solve the problem, chatting with support and so on, so nobody focuses on giving consumers any form of guarantee, including actually considering our time to be any valuable. This is all wrong, starting even with the forced auto-updates without any option of downgrade (making your headset either unplayable, or just removing anything you rely on), and their malware PC Oculus software, which non-tech-savvy people can't even completely shut down, also cannot be copied or having updates paused without a reinstall, and has tons of limitations like being only install it on C:\ unless you spend time researching the alternative cmd parameter (and even after wasting hours you won't be able to back it up or move the install location). And the developer SDK was even worse with incorrect documentation and tons of issues, but luckily this seems to be better now if your business strategy was to "wait 6 more months before you start developing a game". To sum up all of this briefly, it's all a "false advertisement", and you will suffer. Sadly, their product is still worth it at this time, but nevertheless, you will definitely suffer, mostly for reasons that shouldn't have been there in the first place.

    • @scscyou
      @scscyou 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@darkesco Interesting view, I haven't seen these issues reported yet except IPD and the need to buy a new strap (last oculus already required several custom chinese upgrades), but I mostly hope the tracking won't be as bad as you said. About stuff like IPD I still don't understand why can't they make the product a little bit modular and offer modification parts in the future, to avoid similar discrimination. Same with battery, I mean there's no reason to make the front heavy if you already use a powerbank... But back to the original issue, what do you mean by businesses not having to use an account? That need was exactly my point, and you'll find thousands of complaints about FB being forced on people, making them quit Oculus completely. How would you exactly make and run a business if you didn't have this sort of guarantee, and if Oculus ignored any sort of access control of the usage of your users?

    • @scscyou
      @scscyou 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@darkesco By default I don't really believe that Facebook cares so much about small businesses and that they will do anything to make life easier for them; and if I were in such a situation, I'd definitely prefer being able to avoid giving any unnecessary information either to Facebook, or to the product users (e.g. a disposable Oculus account is always easier to create). Can you show me any reference about Facebook claiming there's going to be any option of no-account usage for businesses? Right now they are in the process of removing pure Oculus accounts, and they don't even hint about any alternative on their knowledge base (while their ToS actively deny you some business use-cases with personal headset): support.oculus.com/424208161507635/
