I’m a field tech for a company that makes self service terminals and I love Klein because they’re made for us. If you can’t find them in the store go to “specialized tool” or where they keep the electricians tools and you’ll find them there. One of my favorite EDC knives is Kleins lockback Hawkbill. The all metal one. Maybe check those things out. I like Klein so much I bought 2 Blackfire knives because they’re pretty much a copy of my SOG Trident without the seatbelt cutter. Handle is BIG though, so if you don’t have big hands you might hate it. But yeah Blackfire is Kleins attempt and getting into the EDC/bushcraft market and I recommend checking them out.
Zippo butane inserts are pretty much the greatest thing ever for lighters. You gotta purge the tank each refill and a lot of them require fiddling with the flame height valve. But once you get it dialed in it works great.
I picked up the Klein Precision Ratchet kit a couple months ago to replace a couple smaller iFixit and Kobalt kits. It's an awesome set, a huge upgrade over most kits in this price range. I highly recommend it.
I love the Knafs driver. I bought 2 a while back, one I leave set up for servicing my knives, one I leave set up for work. Definitely worth getting the extra Wiha bits for it, as they really are the best.

Utility knives that need tools to change the blade defeat the purpose of being a utility knife They could have put a little 2 bar torx allen wrench in the back (like the sendy) and it would have been way better.
I had one of those, and I agree with you. However, I bought it understanding what it was, but bought it to use like a standard knife that I didn't have to worry about the blade on.

Hey Taylor this was a good gift guide and I almost bought that Elementum utility knife (I’m a diehard Milwaukee Fastback user going back ten years) but having a torx in order to change the blade was a no go for me on pulling the trigger.
The Tough Possum Slimline Belt Pouch is by far and away my favorite for edc. It carries everything I can't fit in my pockets yet hugs the body and doesn't hang down very far. I have a drawer full of pouches but this one is the pouch I've been looking for for a long long time. Very unobtrusive.
I don’t know who needs to hear this but if you ever find yourself on a cruise boat, those magnetic olights are super clutch. I used the red light mode as a nightlight for my kids (my wife now approves of my EDC addiction 😂)
Cresent makes an adjustable mini wrench 🔧 for $10 much like the Knipex. Thinner but functionally the same for a fraction of the price got mine at Home Depot. Also Kobalt has a lifetime warranty on their tools.
25:25 I have that insert. it sucks. If you want to change out the flint, you can pull the striker wheel assembly out( Like a Clipper lighter) and unscrew the bottom of it to change out the flint. But yeah it sucks, i switched to the Zippo one.
Going to add to the tweezers: "Grandpa's Tweezers" are by far the best tweezers ive ever used. Working with lumber all day i get a crap ton of slivers, and these have a really nice fine point to dig and poke to get them out
I bought a set because working in classic car parts, I sometimes will get nasty metal shavings in my palms and fingertips and especially thumbs. So good for that.
Any alternative to the kobalt plier set you know of for UK? They are so cheap they’d be worth keeping a set in the car! Don’t fancy spending Knipex prices for a set that just sit in car! I have the Knipex 180 plier wrench for pocket as I’m a heating engineer but loath to spend that type of money for a set that sit in the boot
If that Elemenrum utility knife had a quick blade change, I’d order at least a few. They will hopefully update that soon. I’ve seen $5 utility blades with quick blade change features lol.
Those Cobalt pliers the handles come off so you could always just put handles on it that are lower profile I mean I've literally went to Dollar tree bought cheap pair of pliers taking the rubber slip handles off of those and put them on the cobalts and there you go you have a lower profile version of the cobalts because that handle extends out like maybe a cent a centimeter and a half of just the handle not no metal so that makes it so you can have a lower profile one if you switch the handle color or

I'm sure olight makes some decent stuff. But after the whole hidden shilling with IV8888 and the exploding lights, I dont think I could ever bring myself to buy one. If I ever wanted a budget light, I would be more apt to take my chances with a no name chinese light.

O-Clip Pro can attach to a cap if you turn the cap backwards and clip it to the adjustment strap.

The Screwpop Twin Trak is for one-handed deployment for both left and right-handed user... plus a backup / spare blade holder.
I've had a hero clip on my backpack loop for a few years now. Excellent product
Zippo butane inserts are pretty much the greatest thing ever for lighters. You gotta purge the tank each refill and a lot of them require fiddling with the flame height valve. But once you get it dialed in it works great.
If you put the lighter in the freezer and warm up the fill container to body temp the lighter will fill with no purging.

In a pinch or in the case of the one field sharpener jeans can work as a decent enough strop if youre wearing them.

My interpretation is that otacle is like "fishing tackle." Olight is oh light, and otacle is oh tackle.
