My husband HATES it when I put the dishes in the sink, we never agree on it 😄 but it helps me so much to do the surfaces and feel like the kitchen is ´done´ and then sort out the dishes later 👍
Definitely agree that tidy and clean are two different things😊. Great tips, Aimee! It's funny how we often think it will take so long to tidy up, when really it only takes 10 minutes or so and things are looking so much better! I try to put things back where they belong as soon as I'm finished using them. I'm not perfect, and flare days end up leaving my house the most messy, but it really helps! I also try to carry things with me when walking from one room to another. If I'm going to the kitchen I'll look and see what dishes/snacks are in the living room and bring them along, etc.
Love these tips! Come teach my kids and husband to put things back when they are finished using them too ;) I agree though, so often I tell myself "ugh. This will take so long." when in reality it wont, or even if I just do a little bit it's better than nothing. My brain just complains and doesn't want to even start sometimes haha!
@@Aimee_Esther yes! Even just a little bit helps so much😊. I'd help teach your family if I was good at that, but my husband still leaves things lying about, so I could use some help in that area myself😂. I try to not let it bother me, but sometimes😬. And when I pick up after him he is always asking where I put his things, when I always put them back where they belong, in the same spot!! 😂. I think he must be more visual, and have to see everything. I like it all put away and out of sight! So I leave his pile of paperwork on the counter, and a few notes on the table. But when they start breeding more piles I stack them together😂. Compromise, right? 😊
Aimee, I am a new follower and so love your videos. I have tried to muscle through the last 20 years of chronic illnesses, and it is only recently that I am accepting I am “chronically ill.” But I am also not boxing myself in with a label. It doesn’t define me, but it helps me to be less angry and disappointed with myself. This is how God made me. I will still work against it, but I will not ignore it. I will not abuse myself. I’m learning how to live with it, mostly because in recent diagnoses long covid became the icing on the cake. I’m learning pacing, and I’m learning that if I want to be the best mother, best wife and best person for myself, I need to care for myself and work with what the Lord has given me. I understand your feelings jn recent weeks, that you don’t want to make videos about yourself anymore. I fully understand, and you need to “do you.” But please know you have been a tremendous help and encouragement to strangers like myself.
Thank you for sharing! This helps so much to hear your story. I'm so glad my videos are helpful for you! Let me know if there are any specific things you want me to make videos about!
SO impressed with you! Take a good rest after please :) But I totally understand how sometimes cleaning is good for your mental health and worth the extra pain.
@@Aimee_Esther Thank you ♡ There were a lot of breaks in between, but I've just come out of a worse phase & felt relatively stable, so indeed, I just couldn't see the mess anymore. Body hurts, soul is happy (I hate cleaning, but I like a decent looking flat 😅) Now I can enjoy a long weekend 🥳
