Interesting piece of work, and truly a different game for solving the problem. But the end result is nice. Keep up the work and I be back to see more of your videos.
Nice project. If you ever get teh chance to setup a powder coating system, go for it. A project like this one would look amazing powder coated. Thumbs Up!
I like to read comments made in other languages and hope Google translator gets it right. You are right, if he uses kerosene, or petroleum it will rust beautifully, but if he uses oil it should be OK.

Another bodge. The soldering was a joke totally the wrong tool and you removed the galvanizing from the tank without even a thought. So many other bad practices. Please stop with terms as 'AMAZING outcome' as you have very little to no engineering acumen at all.
Some people have the eye, skill and knowledge for this kind of work and some don't. This clown absolutely annihilates everything he gets his hands on. I've watched about 7 of his videos now and all have achieved disastrous results and total disappointment.
Can’t wait for your first video showing off your awesome skills. Irrespective of whether this restoration followed best practices, it’s one video more than you’ve posted.
Gold paint makes it look gaudy and cheap, not to mention all the runs in the paint. This bad paint job made the pitting on the tank really obvious, too. Feels rushed and frankly not AMAZING at all.

Tip - on the first test of something that ignites and is filled with flammable fluid, just soak the wick first then light, if it all goes wrong because of a stupid mistake (we all make them) then you don't have 500ml of flammable liquid in something that is uncontrollably on fire.
Using pop rivets was inappropriate in this application. If this is a true antique, you should have replaced the original rivets with original-type standard rivets, not pop rivets that were not there in the first place. True restorations use the same type original parts. Pop rivets cheapened the end results. Remember to keep it as original as possible.
I agree with you, 99% of all yt restorations are just to bring them to better than new shape. There is not much of real restorations on yt when you just clean and maybe polish it to preserve most of the original look of it.
Definitely like a cool job. Your work is very inspiring. Not so long ago, I also started filming the restoration and renewal of foundigos at the scrap metal collection point. If interested, come in
Really confused why you took an angle grinder to the enclosure but sand blasted the rest. I was thinking you didn’t have a blasting cabinet at first. Odd.
His work is very good. But I watch restoration videos to learn rather than entertainment. This channel has no narration. I learned nothing. Any way thanks for the fantastic effort.
Learn from each project. You've made a number of mistakes in this restoration, but I believe that you can take the recommendations from the comments, and grow in skill. Good luck.
Very nice! You may want to consider turning off comments, they're depressing! Lol!! People love to criticize I guess, until it comes to their work. May Jesus greatly bless you!!
You got a thumbs down . For doing this unbearably hard . Work smart not hard . Mineral spirits would have cleaned the tank with out taking it apart . Couldn't watch your video any more .

Excellent restoration of a super cool lamp!
Sicuramente sarebbe stata piu' omogenea!
We will try harder in the next products, thanks for the comment
Fantastic job it looks great

Thank you

Great work

A globe on that would look really nice.
Pop rivet no , spray paint on flame holder no,
that is worthwhile
Um trabalho simples mas muito bonito. Parabéns 👏🇧🇷🎉
Thank you
Very cool

@John C maybe he's mistaking the words "shitty" and "amazing."
Very unique. How old is that? I've almost bought one similar to it, but it was so far gone. Something like that has gotta be pre 1870 I would imagine.
Seems like you put mud on the pieces that isn't bad, I've noticed a few times now... 🤔

Thanks for the feedback, we will try harder in the next projects
😃👏👏

I hope that room was well ventilated with that much soldering.
Solder fumes are the results of flux not lead. Do you want to breathe in a lot of smoke! Probably not but in terms of lead your safe.
You Damage the zink coat inside and why gold paint is ugly

What type of lamp was it? Manufacturer?
It's a pretty old oil lamp
How did you do the insides corners? Of the interior main body
nice job
Thank
Why not just solder and sand the pot marks? Maybe next time :) nice restore 👍

We should put putty before paint
Good
And the AMAZING outcome you promised in the title?
Plechy spájet trafopájkou... chce to něco mnohem výkonnějšího.
Am I wrong or should he used a little bondo on the top and sides?
No why ?
Gold spray paint is never a good idea...on anything...ever... polishing the brass would have been a better way to go.
NEVER, EVER, PAINT BRASS, also, should have used copper rivets just like the original.
😁😁😂😂😂
It is a lamp not lamps

Sanding lead? Stupid. Also soldering a huge sink with an iron isnt very effective. Why not the torch, like sweating pipes?
*heat sink
