All these years later, we appreciate you ET!
I watched this video with a smile on my face.
Nick said it all: "The feature we know you want: loop builder, flexbox, css grid, improved accessibility, better menu...it's all on our radar"
Just played with the demo... Where's the flexbox? css grid? wtf...
@@ryanpatrick7086 On their radar 😅
Watch or read the blog post again.
@@ryanpatrick7086 yo man. They're laying the foundations to be able to implement those things IN THE FUTURE. This is a major rewrite of the core of divi. They're making everything super-stable and fast with a mind toward the future and things like that. No new features are being added in the 5.0 release, hence there are no new features in the 5.0 alpha demo. 5.0 is all about modern functionality and speed. New features come later.
Finallyyyy we can taste it 🎉🎉🎉 omg the hype is real!
It Will worth the long wait. Divi is coming back!
One major feature that Divi 5 still lacks is the custom column width. When Divi will give all those column features that Elemetor gives, I will move to Divi for future website builds.
? you can do it easily for ever by custom css in the column main element (e.g."width:20%!important;") - are you expected a sliding cursor to fix it ?
@@pierreyvesmathys7699 when using a builder, using css for simple things like this is a work around, not a solution, and using the "!important" never was a good practice.
after using custom CSS then you will need to play with it's responsiveness so much, it will make the process of web building much more longer.
@@pierreyvesmathys7699
If depend on custom css that mean can work with any other them! We are using the builder to aim our times and do every thing with some clicks only!
@@pierreyvesmathys7699sure, you can do everything with CSS, but then what's the point of a page builder
I bought my Divi license after testing builders like Elementor, Oxygen (and more) and I admit that my crush has remained Divi to this day. I like this update, and it's shaping up to be stylish. I can't wait
Why do you like divi over elementor? I was looking at some sites that are built on it elementor and it looks phenomenal, but I ended up getting divi life time license a few months ago and don't really like it much. Hoping there will be a lot more things we can do with divi5 because divi4 was really bare bones and don't look very nice to me. I also own Oxygen builder which I bought many years ago and didn't like it either lol.
@@AndyHTu I think the fight isn't about who is the best builder of them all. I've been using Elementor for years and to be honest it's the cost that's held me back . Oddly enough, Oxygen wasn't compatible with my web server. Divi is the best fit for my needs right now. I find it light and easy to handle. It's not a feature-loaded builder to weigh down your site. As a web company, I'm always looking for the best option to save time and performance
Enjoying playing with the demo, really appreciate you releasing this so we can get a head start learning how 5 will work. Looks fantastic so far - we appreciate all the hard work at Elegant Themes.
I love the [Application Level] Responsive Editing Feature. Sooooo important to have a Mobile First mindset nowadays and a 'grassroots level' builders-view is an excellent feature. kudos.
The demo is very encouraging of the progress you've made so far. Can't wait to try out the public alpha on some sites.
Yes! This is going to be a real upgrade! Well done!
AMAZING WORK GUYS !!! 1 FEATURE REQUIREMENT PLEASE - ADD KEYBOARD HOTKEYS SO WE CAN DUPLICATE AND DELETE ROWS !!! THATS VERY HANDY AND IS STILL MISSING
Congratulations ! Can't wait to try out the public alpha on some sites.
I love it. We have been patiently waiting for a very long time already. Thanks ET. Can't wait for the public release!
Good to know - thanks a lot and I look forward to its official release!
Absolutely amazing, well done! We are eagerly awaiting the release of version 5.
This is superb! thank you Nick and the team, truly appreciate the updates and being kept in the loop - it has been a huge help and cannot be underestimated.
That's awesome, will try the demo as soon as possible 👍
I'm really looking forward to DIVI 5, exciting times ahead!
Great work! Very quick response on edits ;-)
Excited to use this soon, I love that its an upgrade for existing sites too, & the interface changes are fabulous! I am also keen to see how you've streamlined the addon creation process, I remember you remarked about that a while back on the website & it sounded like an excellent evolution. I know its only been four days since you announced, but Im ready for that public alpha!
Looks great...I am interested in how fast those other items you mentioned are coming - the loop builder, CSS grid, etc. I think your ability to move on those quickly is what is going to persuade people like me who moved on whether Divi is worth investing in again.
Nick and team, this is looking amazing! Can't wait to get my hands on the release build and get some sites converted to it or built on it!
Looking really good for a pre alpha! Love the speed and the new layout - great stuff, I've been using Divi for over 5 years and each time I look around at the competition, there is nothing that really comes close. Really appreciate all the ongoing dev work ! Thanks to the whole team 🙂
Wow! Having tried the demo, I'm impressed. Are we actually going to build Divi websites like this? It's truly amazing and incredibly fast. Well done, ET! 👏👏👏
Absolutely! If anything, we'll make it even faster before the final release.
It's great news for all the Divi enthusiasts out there! Many thanks to Elegant Themes.
Simple and easy to use👍 It seems to save more time. I am so excited🤩
I tried the demo. It's fantastic!
Very exciting update! Go Team Go! 😀
Bravo pour votre travail. Cette nouvelle version semble tout à fait enthousiasmante 😀
This is awesome. load fast switching to other devices; tab and mobile. Impressive!
LOOKING SWEET!
To me, I think the biggest improvement jump is the snappy experience. No more glitching and lagging. In Divi 4 I experience SO many slow times and action lags that it sometimes messes up my design structure due to the delay in applying the actions. Overlapping glitches; lack of custom column width; glitches in UI elements due to overlapping. So many other things I can’t recall now, but I do hope Divi 5 will solve all that.
Exciting news! We are waiting Divi 5.0 in Finland 😏
It is really great, thank you very much!
Looking sharp. Really hope an option has been added to style image captions.
Great work!
Waiting for the features you mentioned....❤
This is great. I don't see a dark/light switch for *front-end* color switching... . Also no option to add 'published on' AND 'last updated' date&time to posts. Very much needed in this day and age of too much screen time and fake news!!
At first try... It looks beautiful. Very nice, thank you.
Please talk about the possible disruption to existing websites. 👍
yeah nick and team, keep pushing the limits!
¡Qué buena pinta!! 👏👏
Looks good. Are there plans to make mobile more accessible? I’m so often on the road needing to fix a quick thing and that was never an option with V4. This already looks better, with some interface bugs. I just don’t recall mobile ever being mentioned as a focus hence my question.
This is really cool!
It's even usable in smartphone, as fast as in a laptop. that's awesome ! 😮
AL FIN!!!!! GRACIASSS
Looking forward to DIVI 5
Leeeeeeeeeeeeeeets Go! ET. Nick you beauty. As a divi user from South Africa i bow to ET team
when is it coming out?
I was a web designer used DIVI 2.0
I am experienced enough to replicate a website withing 2 hours in divi. that's how fast the process is.
Made a lot selling page templates
only thing my customers don't like is the header navi bar.
Now I am on a different job role. I never used after 2.0 hope they have fixed the issues
Appreciated ❤ but also hope to make dynamic columns sizes and numbers, RTL support, can add PHP codes, custom loop, carousel, module support get all custom taxonomies and custom posts, multiple pagination types like numbers, load on scroll instead of now . Meet the Google speed requirements , if Dvi is conflicted with code or plugin display it to help to debug
here are some of what I found.
1. change text in the design does not change the text in property in real time.
2. background blending mode doesn't reflect what visible in the design.
It's a good news!
divi 5 lets Goooo
It is possible to include in this major version the possibility to change to "DARK MODE"?
THANKS TO ALL TEAM!
Yeehaw!!
Nice !
Great!!!
I've switched from Divi to Oxygen recently because of the lacking support for some core ACF functions and the lack of building custom loops. These are so essential for managing websites from the client side. If the new loop builder includes integration wih ACF Repeater Fields, also if we finally get ACF Group support (Gallery would be nice too), Divi could become seriously competitive again.
Finally it was quite impossible to work with current version, Hope the final version will be placed soon! Not want to be a beta tester too busy
Wow its snappy. Love the access to x-ray. I can't wait. Anyone know what happens to our old sites build in previous versions, hopefully they don't break.
i have divi4 can i use divi5 with divi4's key or will i eed to buy again
yay 😊😊😊
CAn't wait to convert my websites to this new Divi
Nice 👍
Feels like Elementor and Bricks especially when editing text. You have the small text box on the side along with in-line editing. Not sure yet if this is an upgrade or downgrade on the interface since. We've grown very accustomed to the Divi4 interface. If this is the direction, makes you consider why we would stick with DIVI vs Elementor/Bricks if it's going to look and feel the same.
You can move around the editor box. The demo just has it pinned to the side by default.
Please consider putting the global colours into divi options where "saved" is, and headings as well.
A central place for styles, colours, typography etc
In my opinion, you should make the LTD for 20-30 websites.
In that way, you will keep the LTD and still have advantage ahead of Elementor licenses and you will put some order and more value.
Does anyone know if the pricing will change?
1:28 Responsive EDITING .... AND THE CROWD GOES WILD YEEEEESSSSSSSSSS
Yeahh...🎊🎉🪅😄🥳
Please add more break points to modify the landscape mode like elementor does
Does Divi 5 use less memory than Divi 4? Are the memory requirements the same or less?
Finally.
I really like the minimal design, i was thinking if you remove all that starter premade and create real templates
So if you are missing elements like woocommerce modules should we not update once Divi 5 is released?? I need the e-commerce elements for existing build sites.
Woo module is for the Beta Public and we are not even in the Alpha Public. Look like you are gonna wait so more...
Divi 5 will be released in 5 phases, as outlined in our Divi 5 announcement post: www.elegantthemes.com/blog/general-news/the-future-of-divi
The final version will not be missing any features. The Public Alpha will be missing a few features, which will be filled in as we progress toward the Public Beta. This will allow people who don't need specific features to use Divi 5 early, and help us test it.
People need to actually watch the video and pay attention.
Ahora si que no extrañaré Elementor. Quedó igual!
Ok, its been 6 days, thats the magic number right? We wants it!! 🤓Just kidding, take your time of course, but I do hope we get that public alpha soon, even a semi-public alpha pre-sneak perhaps? 🥺
Ok, maybe this has already been asked and perhaps I'm just overlooking it but I can't seem to undo anything. I've tried this multiple times.
Hi! Will Divi 5 be available to everyone with a simple regular update, or will it need to be purchased separately?
It will be available to everyone as a normal update at no additional cost.
Good! Thank You!
le Divi 5 aura été attendu :)
Il est encore attendu pour au moins encore 6 mois :)
HOW ABOUT ADDING A SECTION IN A COLUMN ?
Explications : I often would like to create a structure with more option than the one in the "section orange one". If I would have the opportunity to add such section in a colum I will be free to creat any structure I can imagine - but now I am limited by the proposed structures only
🌟🌟But too bad in Builder Settings, no Legendary Purple Divi available as accent 😭
There are color schemes in the builder settings, including the classic Divi purple!
HOW ABOUT AN ENGLISH SWITCH : One think that could be cool to include is a button to switch anytime to the english interface.
Explications : I am using the french translation, and after any update the name of the modules and options are often so badly translate that it's complicate to found the original module [as the last refresh of the woo modules...] - and most of the support and demo of new opportunities are in english, so that if I can have a direct button to switch to english version I will save a lot of time !
I believe this is gonna be very difficult for a newbie individual to learn this it might be a little easy for developer, but not for someone who is not a developer so most likely they might swing to Elementor love to be a little bit more easier to understand for a new person who is not a developer
flexbox? better menus, more modules?
Once Divi 5 is finished, yes: th-cam.com/video/opns5x1SvOg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=kOktbdsG28rej7xG&t=190
Oh at last
Where can I send some bugs?
Here are a couple:
- Form module, a simple full width option to increase the "Submit" button size. It's really disappoint to put a CSS with a simple option like that.
- Gradient color option: Still has the same problem. When you make a 2 different solid colors (without gradient if no face to face), then you couldn't choose one of the two ping color easily
How much?
This is a free update for all Divi customers.
If you release Divi 5 without flex box, is like you released a product from 2020
tested, I don't want to use divi 4 any more😅
What I saw was not a new Divi version, but just transformation of a good visual builder into another bad version of a block editor. Very sad...
It's FAAST !
Hell YeaaAAaahhh 🥳🥳🥳🥳💣💥
