A wrestler can be put on a 30 second shot clock for passivity, in which the wrestler (or their opponent) has to score or the opponent is awarded a point. A passivity call is not determined by number of shot attempts but rather which wrestler is controlling the mat/action.

To see the guy win the WTT to getting majored regularly at the NCAA level tells me this wasn't the right program. He comes off as the type of guy that needs action in competition on a regular basis to thrive. PSU couldn't offer that unfortunately.

Everyone has been more aggressive as of late on average. Spencer Lee has changed the expectation for the top meta. Everyone is now expected to try to turn/pin or risk a stall call if you don’t catch and release quickly.

Never saw a match where one wrestler has two takedowns to none but loses on three stall points.
