I just replaced my old 90s style 3vze distributor with the upgraded version 94-95 distributor. all you need is the pigtail' rewire it together. New spark plug wires, rotor, cap, then did the timing, Ran like a champ.
You install the distributor at zero(TDC) compression stroke. Next you warm it up to operating temp, jumper the TE1 and E1 terminals then you check idle, 800rpm +/- 50, then you set the timing to 10 deg BTDC, tighten the distributor nut and your are done.
Jeffrey lor you really don’t clean the meter only way is to break silicone seal on top but it should b clean I mean if u want to adjust it to be more leaner then u should open it up! other than that don’t mess with it trust me
Did you ever hear of editing the bullshit comments and tightening of screws and finding lost screws out of the video ? These are not helpful and just waste our time. You may think all your yakking is interesting, but it's not.

Where can I get more information about doing this?
Good job answering people's questions lol
So if you did this procedure did you use the timing light and the jumpers and did you get it time correctly at 10 degrees tdc?
When you use the timing light at first should you be at the Zero mark?
You installed at zero ( 0 ). Specs call for 10° btdc when adjusting timing.
Do I simply adjust to match specs after installation? Thanks.

Wondering if you were having any issues prior and if this fixed issue?
Thanks my friend
Where is part 1 of the distributor install for the 3vze engine? Mine is a 1990 year with manual transmission
Thanks. Great video!
How did you finded the distributor is broke
How do u find top dead center if not on first cylinder when taking cap off do I turn motor or what? U didn’t show that
I searched for the firing order and found this, not your fault youtube
So I manually turn the crank shaft from the from belt right(not by the actual belt), so how do you check tdc for the 1st cylinder?
What happened if you crank the engine before you set your distributor for the proper marks
You'll need to turn the crankshaft manually till you hit top dead center.
@@psy101514 so do I need to redo the timing again now or just turn it to center
@@Ohdokwan2nd5610 I believe there are two TDC. Make sure that piston one is up and valves are closed.
@@psy101514 Thank you very much. I really appreciate it.
Hey bro where u from in hawaii

How to clean the air flow meter? I look everywhere on google and no help. Fo we clean it like the more modern vehicle?

@@guesswho2237 he wanted to clean the inside where the air goes into the engine, not adjust the air fuel ratio
lmao. You didnt even start the engine after install. Also poor video quality, too bright, couldn't even see detail
