Thank you for taking the time to make videos! It's so calming and good paced. Helps as a new Urgent care provider trying to do my best and keep up with the fast pace and volume! Videos about your flow with patient's, efficient communication, documentation flow and efficiency and dot phrases are helpful. Keep up the strong work girl! 🌴🌷🌴

Hello, i've been binge-watching your content about what it means to be an NP and why one should consider becoming one, and they have been quite inspiring. Thank you! However, I have learned why you chose to become an NP, but one question remains: what motivated you to become a nurse in the first place? I ask because I'm trying to find some mental clarity as a sophomore in college attempting to transition into the nursing program with the specific goal of becoming a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP). However, I've been feeling stuck in my search for the meaning, reasons, and characteristics that one should possess in order to determine whether or not this is the right path for myself. So far, i've researched that in order to get to the level of a np, RN experience is a must but what I believe i'm afraid of is the emotional toll, excessive burnout and heavy workload within those 1-2 years of experience. In order to obtain what I currently can view myself as. Any tips or advice you have on this? Thank so much again.

Honestly, the job market is what initially motivated me to pursue the nursing field. I was only 18 at the time when I entered the nursing program, so I didn't know what I wanted to do yet. My mother actually told me "If you become a nurse, you'll always have a job." After working in the field for around 3 years & figuring out how to navigate working with women and the politics of nursing, I began to develop a love for caring for patients and seeing real positive outcomes in my patients. As far as characteristics needed to succeed as a nurse, you really have to develop thick skin to deal with both patients and your coworkers, you have to be flexible, because nursing is very unpredictable, you must have a kind heart and LOTS OF PATIENCE because youre caring for people who are at their sickest and absolute worst and you have to be understanding of that. The emotional toll can't be avoided in the beginning because things like death will be new to you, but ultimately you may become a bit desensitized to it, as harsh as that might sound. Good luck!
