Welcome to ServoFacts, Ghirapur's No. 1 messaging service about Servos! Did you know that servos are bound by adhesives formed from liquefied aether runoff? This has resulted in the Consulate enforcing strict mandates in how many servos may be operational in one place, as too much servo activity can attract a horde of gremlins so large that an entire district may be forced into a blackout lasting anywhere from a few hours to several decades. Failure to comply with these regulations may result in a harsh penalty, lockup in the Dhund, or everyone's favourite (community "service"), and the confiscation and smelting of all servos involved in the incident, with all processing fees issued as a fine to the accused. Aether revolt being from 2017 made me realize that I will propably crumble to dust if Graham ever opens a pack of fifth dawn or champions of kamigawa (my first magic packs)
I always found it odd that creatures with summoning sickness can crew vehicles. It makes mechanical sense, but it's also like: "I just got here and I'm too woozy to attack." "That's okay. Just drive this dinosaur train into the enemy for me."
I think of improvise less as "artifact convoke" and more "affinity for artifacts that isn't totally bonkers busted af"... which is ironic, because the first expert-level theme deck I ever owned was a UB monstrosity from Mirrodin. 😅
i haven't really thought about this card in a long time but since then i'm playing an eggs deck and i guess i will give this one a try again, thanks for reminding me
@@Neth91 It does some decent work in mine. But I feel only because my variant focuses on ETB draw effects and bouncing them back to my hand to repeatedly generate advantage and trigger "when you cast an artifact spell" effects.
Just because I was curious, I checked EDHREC for Inspiring Statuary. It's in only(?) 12,000~ decks out of 900,000 decks on EDHREC, which feels like it's being terribly underplayed! Not surprisingly, the deck that plays it the most (at 1,050 decks) is Lonis, Cryptozoologist, with that decks ability to make a billion clue tokens...
I do miss the ash. (Yes, that's what æ is called.) Also, recounting something that happened during the Aether Revolt prerelease: (I play Untethered Express) Opponent, after reading it: ... What's the drawback? Me: It costs four.
It's a good card but it really does indeed cost 4 Seriously the reason I thought it was bad is that it look like a creature with those stats and abilities but it's a vehicle Didn't evaluate how important being unkillable by sorcery speed removal was tho
I don't think I've ever seen anyone play Natural Obsolescence, there was just much better artifact removal in standard at that time(and probably always, but I'm a commander player, not a standard player).
Just opened a few packs in online I have a 6 (3 blue 3green) card that summons a token equivalent to the amount of cards in your library, and a 6/6 green that applies your greatest toughness to your health lol I finished with 224 health in 3 rounds lol. New instred broken.
I loved energy as a mechanic. All I want to do is hit people for an absurd amount of damage with electro static pummeler again - I know that was in the set before but this one ramped up that deck.
Also, one of these days I'm gonna watch you pull one of the ridiculously good reprint cards (like expeditions) that went in sets like this and it's gonna be the best.
Pausing at the start of the video If Graham doesn't say "Greetings you Scourging Bandars" I might unsub Edit My disappointment is immeasurable and my day is ruined :( jk jk
The tighter editing is nice but I kinda enjoyed graham trailing off after every card and thinking of things to say. Felt more natural and chill
Graham it is always a delight when we get a Crack a Pack. Thanks

I started magic with oath and when I remember oath was in 2015,godamn 7 years ago, I wanna scream
In my mind magic is a hobby I got in recently 😭
The first time I ever played Magic, the new set was Antiquities. How do you think I feel?
Champions block was when I stopped playing constructed tournaments regularly, so I am already crumbling to dust, thanks.
@@christopherlundgren1700 Imagine me? I started playing Magic back in 7th Edition.
@@CalebDenn And yet somehow you kept on playing. Incredible.
Frontline rebel isn't mad, He just wants to know if somewhere beyond the barricades there is a world you long to see...
no, he definitely repping for the angry men
As a counterpoint I'm fairly certain that is a song of angry men who will not be slaves again.
I was looking specifically for this response and am gratified that it was the top one (at time of viewing).
I love these! it's like having a chat with Graham!
I run inspiring statuary in my Prosper, Tome bound EDH-deck, make all my treasures permanent ramp and if I need color fixing I can sack them
I always found it odd that creatures with summoning sickness can crew vehicles. It makes mechanical sense, but it's also like:
"I just got here and I'm too woozy to attack."
"That's okay. Just drive this dinosaur train into the enemy for me."
Now I've got that song stuck in my head.
@@AdeonHawkwood We need a 1/1 Troodon to crew the train.
When Graham pointed out 2017 was 5 years ago, I felt very old.
7:38 Matt, that was an absolute KILLER reference! Well done, sir, well done!
Is it Astar in English and Astor in French? I always remembered it as Astor. On to find out!
Edit: indeed, they changed a vowel!
I had no idea what this was referencing, searched "Astar arm"...and what the actual fuck Canada?!? 🤣
I don't even really play Magic anymore, but these are just the best.
The Astar reference was sweet - caught me totally off-guard, loved it! 😄
I think of improvise less as "artifact convoke" and more "affinity for artifacts that isn't totally bonkers busted af"... which is ironic, because the first expert-level theme deck I ever owned was a UB monstrosity from Mirrodin. 😅
Frontline Rebel art and flavor text are a nod to Les Miserables' "Do you hear the people sing"
I hadnt' thought about that old planet danger PSA in years. Wow that brought back memories.
Just came here to sing "renegade train never coming back, wrong way on a one way track."
Why yes Graham, I DO run Inspiring Statuary in my Kykar "Eggs" deck thanks so much for asking! 👈😎👉
i haven't really thought about this card in a long time but since then i'm playing an eggs deck and i guess i will give this one a try again, thanks for reminding me
@@Neth91 It does some decent work in mine. But I feel only because my variant focuses on ETB draw effects and bouncing them back to my hand to repeatedly generate advantage and trigger "when you cast an artifact spell" effects.
Inspiring Statuary certainly does a number in my Lonis, Cryptozoologist EDH deck!
Inspiring Statuary has had a new lease of life since blood tokens and people realized even a colorless Urza is still pretty nuts.
Damn Astar.. that's some nostalgia right there!
Ooh, I know the artist who made inspiring statuary and have one of the artist proofs
Doing it so I don’t have to. Thanks for continuing to scratch the itch 🤣
I do miss the ash. (Yes, that's what æ is called.)
Also, recounting something that happened during the Aether Revolt prerelease:
(I play Untethered Express)
Opponent, after reading it: ... What's the drawback?
Me: It costs four.
It's a good card but it really does indeed cost 4
Seriously the reason I thought it was bad is that it look like a creature with those stats and abilities but it's a vehicle
Didn't evaluate how important being unkillable by sorcery speed removal was tho
Groovy

Inspiring statuary has gone up in price with the influx of artifact token commanders lately. Prosper is the big one.
Damn, I have not realized until now Revolt says "controlled" rather than "control". But it makes sense.
efficient construction is Sai, Master Thopterist on an enchantment! I love it!
Oh we probably win our pod, we opened an untethered express, card was busted in limited, why crew 1 for a 5/5 trample on its first attack.
Untethered Express AKA The Pain Train. Fuu-UCK did that thing do work in limited.
I don't think I've ever seen anyone play Natural Obsolescence, there was just much better artifact removal in standard at that time(and probably always, but I'm a commander player, not a standard player).
Don't ever call me or my copilot a reckless racer ever again.
Graham delights with out daily Crack a Pack.
4:19 ooof!
I’m pretty sure Graham was remembering Aradara Express, not Renegade Freighter
Inspiring statuary is great in a swords / equipment deck.
Thanks Astar!!! Play Safe!!
Choo choo!
If I had a copy of Inspiring Statuary, I'd probably make a Toggo Goblin Weaponsmith deck.
Basically just a treasure deck, isn't it? I've got a Galazeth Prismari treasure deck that taps them for instants/sorceries and sacs for anything else
@@keithchristmas7315 Yeah, Toggo kinda just... produces a bunch of garbage equipment tokens that finding other things to do with them is important.
Inspiring statuary is in my Gyome, Master chef token deck, it is monstrous there since i don't need to tap my food tokens for Gyome's ability
Inspiring Statuary puts in WORK in my Kodama Toggo deck. Lemme tap all them rock tokens for mana babbeee
Inspiring Statuary in a Strefan or Prosper EDH deck is bonkers.
You guys should do an office pool of what the pack cabinet $ amount of cards opened is and keep a running total. Or not.
Crack a pack!
Crack a pack!
I love Vehicles! Looking forward to Kamigawa so I can run Bikes and Mechs with Ninjas! I will finally live the dream!
inspiring statuary is good in equipment decks
It is nice. Can confirm.
Ooo the first set I ever opened :) totally wish I had gotten into the game sooner but glad I found it when I did
Engagement for the engagement god!
Vehicle-specific Trample should be called Trundle.
Just opened a few packs in online
I have a 6 (3 blue 3green) card that summons a token equivalent to the amount of cards in your library, and a 6/6 green that applies your greatest toughness to your health lol
I finished with 224 health in 3 rounds lol. New instred broken.
The green only applies when summoned, but I have 4 of them in my deck lol
Im a value engine kinda guy so I'd see myself picking Efficient Construction to try and build around it.
I still support Paul in banning all gremlins for flavor reasons.
I loved energy as a mechanic. All I want to do is hit people for an absurd amount of damage with electro static pummeler again - I know that was in the set before but this one ramped up that deck.
Just get 69 energy and hit them for 8675309 damage.

Just wH0opSiEs!
I joined too late to play Aether Revolt standard, but man have I heard stories about Aetherworks Marvel being absolutely busted.
"You know the drill" he said in a set all about vehicles.
[ *æ* intensifies ]
I just noticed that a pack on the left in the intro says "June is Audiobook Month", what kind of pack is that?
Aether revolt was 2017??? I feel old lol
Crack! A! Pack!

Inspiring Statuary is excellent in equipment decks as you can tap your swords for more swords
2017 was 5 years ago... argh
I always called it Ather revolt. Oops.
Me being from Denamrk where "Æ" is a real letter :/
I still ardently refuse to pronounce "aether" as "ether".
Ether revolt. What the crypto market is currently doing...
