The Viridian Claw was quite strong; if you're in Mirrans it helps to fend off the infect dudes coming at you or forces damage through, and if you're in Phyrexians, having "wither" plus first strike is kind of unfair.
Hard agree, P1P1 I'd probably take the claw, followed by the Myr and then the Strider, all of these are cards that will definitely make the cut and they allow you to stay open :)

And, having just looked it up, apparently has had like 6 different runs. A couple in the 80s, the 06-07 one I remember, again in 15-16, and apparently, it's back on the air with new episodes now.

And whether you'd call me a traitor or a clever tactician by weaving a Wurmcoil Engine into the deck, I... came up in top5. The winner was undefeated with insane aggro deck. Ahem, tangent aside, I'm a Mirran through and through, and while Phyrexia is far more interesting culture... GIT OFF MAH LAWN YA LANKY WEIRDOS WITH YOUR OIL AND WHATNOT!!
While my first set of Magic was either 5E or Visions, I lapsed two or three times. Mirrodin Beseiged was when I came back to the game due to seeing a con holding a 6-pack booster draft for $17. I wound up pulling Tezzeret, Agent of Bolas and had to ask how planeswalkers worked due to Betrayers of Kamigawa being the last set I'd bought cards from.
Ah, Mirrodin. I've always loved the metal world even in it's new form as Phyrexia. Hope we go back soon and have a conclusion to the Karn's and Koth's stories (Having their planar travel be possible because Koth was compleated would be interesting), but I get the feeling they'll just have Phyrexians popping up randomly like in Kaldheim for a loooong time.
Wouldn't say long time, around the time people were sure kamigawa neon dynasty would be announced they were also sure a new New phyrexia set would be announced and I wouldn't be surprised if we get a few new phyrexia cards in brothers war after which they could release a return to New phyrexia, Also as nice as it was to have a sightseeing tour of planes ever since war of the spark it would make sense to build towards a big story event again after brothers war

My opponent convinced me that Lifelink wouldn't work, since Infect meant Flensermite didn't do damage. So after that round, I went to the judge to ask if I could swap out Flensermite and explained what happened. My opponent got removed from the tournament. Apparently I wasn't the first person he lied to about the rules in order to gain an advantage. Flensermite has been in my Karlov deck ever since. Simply because it reminds me to get a second opinion when my opponent tries to tell me how my cards work.
In defense of Graham's Only Connect reference, they definitely do sometimes do mashup missing vowels rounds, and I'd love to see one on Magic the Gathering lol
