Doesn't this also work with just "Controllers" by "Album" and "Change Grip Order" also u can pair your Controllers to another person's Switch this way with the Black "Reset" button, yes?

Is there a way to play the screen of the switch with the joy cons CONNECTED to the screen, and have someone else playing against you in say, the living room, on the TV, with an aftermarket controller? So if my son starts the game like cars three, and then you put it in two player mode does it split the screen like the TV? If we’re trying to play two player with these two controllers like this, we share the screen obviously but, how does it work if we are not on the same part of the race?

It’s incomplete. You have to add the long black pieces either cords to the top of the controllers. They slide on like it slides into the switch. Put the strap around your hand so it doesn’t drop.
