Astral Chain is a weird treat but I would struggle to recommend it to anyone after the traffic puzzle games, let alone someone I love.
Haha fair enough. It has some cool things going for it, but the co-op isn’t ideal.
I need to convince my wife to play Age of Calamity with me in co-op! We both played it single player, she didn’t enjoy it as much as I did, but maybe she would like it better in co-op.
I didn’t even play this game until fairly recently! I didn’t know the story was a prequel to Breath of the Wild. It was just a lot better than I was expecting. But also, maybe we’re just starving for anything co-op in a Zelda game? Haha

Cave Story is an awesome hidden gem of Switch games... and it's ridiculously hard and very satisfying to beat the "best ending"

Check out Super Blood Hockey! Really cool game. It’s a pixelated hockey game with a story and really fun co-op mode. It gets really bloody, as expected.

7:40 would you say that Star Allies is the better co-op game because the teamwork is more meaningful? Or are they equally non-essential?
Yeah, it might be, and it’s easier for the “helpers” to keep up. But Forgotten world is the overall better game, in my opinion. Some people don’t like co-op in Kirby games, but I always think it’s a good time.
Yoshi's wooly world is so much better then crafted world.

My wife and I enjoy playing Divinity 2: Original Sin and hunger for a follow up. So far, we couldn‘t find one.
We typically just cover couch co-op on this channel, but I’ll keep that in mind!
Yeah, it’s hard to find co-op RPGs with as much depth as Divinity. Very different in tone, but have you played Pit People? It’s made by the team that did Castle Crashers. It’s a great tactical RPG with co-op. Young Souls is a good story driven co-op ARPG that plays like a beat em up. Children of Morta and Dragon’s Crown are a couple of others. And of course the Mana games are great co-op RPGs.

@@brettrigby2314 we‘ll see if they are able to bring it to the switch, though! We had a look into couple of the recommendations but nothing sparked our interest. After the voice acting and graphics of Divinity, it is hard to go to something like „secret of Mana“

Talking about Mario Odyssey? I personally loved playing through that as cappy. I think it’s one of the best assist co-op modes of all time.

Have you tried the first Hyrule Warriors and how would you compare its co-op to Age of Calamity?
I never played through the whole thing. But from what I’ve experienced, Age of Calamity is just better. The story and everything adds a lot of depth. But they’re about the same when it comes to co-op gameplay.

I'm specifically going to avoid that 2D Kirby game just because you tried pushing it. Just tell us what are great co-op games. Considering not everybody enjoys the same games. You should avoid telling people what to play. Just tell us what the options are. Not what you want our options to be.

No, we were just covering Switch exclusives or games that have exclusive co-op features. The Switch version of 3D World is pretty much the same as the Wii U version.

It's a shame that you can't play Pikmin 4 in co-op. the second player is just a slingshot. pikmin 3 is better. Super Mario Odyssey is really boring in the co-op

Multiplayer: yahh i know there all multiplayer but I'm rating the like how much the second player can do so i will give it a 9/10

I just came here to say how much disdain I have toward MARVEL ULTIMATE ALLIANCE. I use to love these games on PS2 but this game gets so redundant and lifeless. I’m not a big gamer but man it felt like they didn’t put much effort into that game 🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️🤦🏽♂️

Not a single one of these looks cool to play co opp. My disspointment in the switch and frankly, modern games in general , only grows. These games look like absolute trash.

@Classic Co-op I like the CTR revamp. Mario party but the one for switch sucks because there's not enough boards and 0 DLC. Idk, it seems like there's no good ones.. or they are half done and dissapointing. The Yoshi one sucks because there's like no point in the 2nd one, it's like when u give a kid a controller so they think they are playing but nothings happening. Don't mean to be negative I'm genuinely sad they don't just make better games 😔
@@obsidianbarber223 fair enough. Have you tried the river survival mode on super Mario party? It’s a lot of fun as a 4 player co-op experience. Captain Toad Treasure Tracker is perhaps a more balanced co-op mode than Yoshi. I loved it. Not on the list, but It Takes Two and A Way Out are some of the all time best co-op games!

@ClassicCo-op I like all kinds of games, some of them Nintendo, some of them not. I just didn't see the co-op I am looking for. It seems more and more that gaming is separating people rather than bringing them together like it used to and its heart breaking. I am seeing the aspects of my hobby falling apart and it's not something that makes me hopeful of the future.

yes, i agree..we only play that one sports game cause we can play together, i buy new baseball for 69 $ thinking that we can play like sports with two joys cons and split screen, i was so stupid..whats the point of two join cons if you dont have games for it..most of games is for console..
