Hi, not sure if you'll see this message but I just wanted to say thank you. For multiple reasons. One, for having the courage along with those of us that really care about these things and we can clearly see that what's happening is wrong but since we have been relatively silent compared to the "mainstream" it really does feel like there's few of us. But I feel like things are changing. Anyway I digress, my apologies. Thank you for having the courage. We don't tell that to each other enough and if anyone deserves it it's someone that is willing to say it as loudly as you. I really truly wish I could do what you're doing; and to avoid any awkward conversation, I really truly cannot do it because I'm dying soon from cancer. So thank you truly for doing this. Secondly, I want to thank you because this video very truly changed many of my perspectives. Or rather, added to my perspective on a lot of this. I've thought most of what you've said for some time. And honestly have been getting frustrated lately because when I first started thinking like this, it was like a food of "holy crap" moments were hitting me intensely. But that's slower now. I guess I'm to the last % of thinking on things like this. But this last part takes infinitely longer to get through. That's a good way of looking at it I think. I feel like you're further than I am. And I am 42 years old. Lol. You sound much younger, my apologies if you're not. I'll risk the assumption as you don't sound like the type to get offended by that. Safe bet. Anyway, thank you, truly again for doing this. Please don't stop. Not if you can help it. We really do need people like you and me out there. And I'm leaving soon. So I hate to say it but the rest of you will have to pick up the very small slack I'll leave behind. I have no delusions of grandeur that my small Twitter following is having their lives changed with my tweets lol. But it's the best I can do. Truly. I'm subscribed now and I hope to see more of your videos before my time is through. Thank you for providing me some new perspective that I just don't get that often anymore.
this year I turn 26. I was 22 when I made this lol. I appreciate this a ton. I fear despite the best efforts of some people, everything I warned about in these videos rings truerer today than it did then. I notice and keep noticing a very steep decline intellectually in our current society , and it terrifies me the overarching ramifications of said ignorance. I am praying for a potential rebound, but even some of the recent comments prove true as examples to what im saying in this very video. I am passionate, and care very much for the future of people, but I fear other people simply don't care enough, and I fear mass death and suffering will ramp up dramatically in our lifetime. I wil do my best to inform, persuade, and move people to action, but I am only one man. Time will tell if I can even accomplish such a thing, but comments like these motivate me to work harder. Thank you, and much love
Been really enjoying your videos lately. Even though topics like cancel culture have been discussed plenty before, you still somehow manage to articulate your points in such a unique way/perspective that it is always a joy to watch till the end. Keep it up!
Imma be blunt about what I'm about to say, cancel culture has is such androgynous amoeba that involves so much mental gymnastics to the point where all i'm hearing is biased opinions left and right. When someone tries to wield cancel culture it will be their downfall eventually just like a double edged sword because of how they like to see themselves as moral high ground warriors within social media painting a picture of allusion through their blissful ignorance which becomes astronomical to the point where you can't even lift that cloud of deafening thunder and pungent rain intoxicating their minds to the very core
Never before have truer words been spoken in my opinion. Some people crave that validation and will step on anyone's heads that they need to, to get that. Extremely well detailed out here. If only more people could hear this and take a lesson away from it.
I always enjoy watching and listening to everything you have to say. Thank you for enlightening me about things CJ. I aspire to one day reach your level of intelligence.
Damn, been a while since I watched CJ. Granted I used to come here for FH content but that seems to have ceased (judging by titles and thumbnails) I'm glad to see that the channel has grown from 10k and I wish more luck for you in the future man.

Amen and a fucking half. Respect for saying what most are afraid to. Cancel culture actively discourages critical thinking, and polices this through a "with us or against us" chant lead by those least willing to look into their own souls. 99% of those involved don't know the parties personally, but feel it necessary to loudly project their own subjective experiences on top of the situation. It is not a movement about growth and change, much more of a blood spectacle. And who doesn't like to be entertained. The majority of the public will probably accept this as default, but its OK. Real will always recognize real, 10000 people can scream 2+2=5 in my face but that doesn't change a damn thing.
why do i feel i know this guys voice so much is it just that he sounds a lot like the producer based gutta that just vanished from the web at some point has anybody an idea?
Idk, bro, moral isn't all that subjective. Of course, depending on religion or the little stretch of land we live in, it will change slightly. However, whatever is bad remains bad. It becomes excusable at some point for certain cultures to do the wackiest tyrannical shit (I'm looking your way, Islam) in the name of something you perceive as greater than your morality, but it's still bad not only for all other cultures, but for your own as well. In talking about cancel culture, there isn't even any ruminating over the idea at all. It's a world of "either ors", completely without nuance. From what I understood of your video, you noticed this too: there's no objective talk about this because, if you examine it objectively, there's no reason for it's existence. The need to belong is paramount in human existence. It is inherent to us, as we are social creatures. Mob mentality always existed. The Russian Revolution, the French Revolution, the Arab Spring are all examples of humanity's core characteristics. We choose a group that we identify with and we flock around them. There's no escaping it. Tribalism is in the root of our societal troubles in this century and it's going to be our doom. As to why people are subscribing to such ideologies is kinda beyond me. I do believe there's something to do with the perversion of the idea of morality, to some extent, as in the moral thing to do to someone who break the rules is to expose them so that they face the consequences of their transgressions. Deep down, that's the intent, but every tiny detail of anything they deem wrong is exacerbated and most of the time also twisted to serve the perversion I was talking about earlier. This shit runs deep and the topic in itself is endless. Thanks for bringing it up again, it's important to try and put things into perspective and truly analyze them, so we don't repeat shit rhetoric

I agree with most of the overall sentiment in this video. However, when you said, "morals are subjective", you pretty much invalidated your whole ideology surrounding this culture. If morals are subjective, that means you're meta-cognitive of your own morals. Meaning, you understand that your morals are no more valid than any other persons. There is no moral hierarchy, so therefore there is no proper social order. You said it yourself, majority consensus does not equate to right or wrong. Just because a moral is deemed "normal" for a culture from majority consensus, it does not mean it is objectively justifiable. So, this cancel culture that comes to a consensus on what is right or wrong is ideologically no more or less valid than your contentions with it. How can you be meta-cognitive of your own morals being subjective and still take your moral disagreements seriously to the point of deeming something right or wrong? Note: This comes from a place of genuine philosophical inquiry. I'm not trying to push a "gotchya!", i'm just interested in moral philosophy and your world view. I also subscribe to the notion of objective morals, so don't think i'm just arguing for the sake of it. I truly believe there's a contradiction between what your ideological approach suggests and what your worldview implies.
I had a 100+ comment thread with someone about subjectivity in morality, and the answer will always be that morality is subjective. Our Social order is dictated by our current understanding and collective consensus on morality. When I said mob mentality is not due process , thats precisely the point that morality is subjective, because they feel their perspective and sense of righteous indignation is the only truth, they however are not a majority , merely a larger minority than yourself
The concensus for a long while now has been that people deserve a trial, no matter how redundant it may seem in some cases. Cancel culture isn't a representation of that justice, but instead a regression backward. At least that's roundabout how I'd frame it
@@ArchWizardCj Whoops, forgot about this. Your standard for morality is one of arbitrary consensus. By your standard, if the majority of people believed "X is bad", then it is bad. If the majority of people believed "X is good", then X is good. This is an arbitrary standard due to the fact that the only context of the situation that changes is it's consensus. Meaning, you have no real reason to suggest that the chemical reactions in your head are any more or less valid than the chemical reactions in another persons. You're taking a naturalistic approach to moral philosophy which is why you believe morals to be subjective. You said this, "When I said mob mentality is not due process , thats precisely the point that morality is subjective, because they feel their perspective and sense of righteous indignation is the only truth, they however are not a majority , merely a larger minority than yourself." This is a contradiction to your broader point. When saying that a "larger minority" pushing their morals onto another group is not due process, you're failing to realize that a larger group of people pushing their morals onto a smaller is your exact definition of moral due process. As you said before, "Our Social order is dictated by our current understanding and collective consensus on morality." So to be clear, you claim that moral due process is done from majority consensus, but when a different demographic comes to a moral consensus, you deem it as fallacious because it is not what you believe to be moral. This is the problem with subjective moralism. Any moral rule book you try to conjure up as a proper framework is one of arbitrary standard. Once again, you're taking a naturalistic position on moral philosophy which means the universe is a closed system. We are just a bunch of chemical reactions interacting with outside stimuli. You have absolutely no objective justification to say the chemical reactions in your head are more or less valid than another persons. The only thing you can do is set up arbitrary standards.
If you complain about cancel culture then you're probably the problem 🤷🏿♂️. The thing is everyone wants to be an edgelord and say cringey stuff until they get checked on it. Better and quit complaing every month ✌️
