I had the same trouble getting the coupler off my gun too. Milwaukee puts these on WAY too tight. I opted for the Lock-N-Lube coupler and it works really well for me; it attaches easily to the fitting and doesn't fall off. I didn't like the price of the Lock-N-Lube but I felt that having the single lever would allow me to get into tight spaces. I've had it only a few weeks now and so far it's a winner, glad I bought it.

You should have read the manual, there is a little spring loaded black button on the front of the grease gun that is used to purge out any air. No need to leave the barrel loose. Those flip-out hooks are for the optional shoulder strap (included with the full kit). The two speeds is handy, I typically run it on slow speed to get more pressure for stubborn zerks.

I knew it was there but it just makes a mess. Just crack the threads 1/4 turn and air leaks out but grease won't. Always done that with every grease gun. I was wondering what that hook is for. I thought about putting a tag on it with the grease name and date. Slow speed seems the most useful to me also. It's a great easy to use grease gun. Thanks for watching.

it doesn’t make a mess at all I’ve had mine for two years and never had grease come out of the purge button know you’re tools 😂

This is a real winner. I use it for my Kubota and all my equipment. I put the tail end of the grease from the last tube in the top of the new one and it gets rid of the air cavity. Air purge button takes one time and you are off to the races. Huge time saver on my backhoe

It definitely is an easy to use timesaver. I didn't use the button because from what I saw in videos it makes a mess you have to wipe off. Cracking the tube doesn't. I started counting grease fittings on equipment I have and gave up. Its a very nice addition to any shop. Thanks for watching.

I just bought the same grease gun and love it. There is a button to purge the air out of the grease instead of loosening the cartridge.

I saw that but it's hard to teach an old dog new tricks. I really like this so far also. Sure beats trying to line up a gun and pump it at the same time. Thanks for watching.

@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 lolololol...I bled the air out exactly like you did on the first tube of grease. The second tube I used the bleeder and it actually worked really good.

Thank you for this video. I’ve been wanting one for a while. After watching this video I ordered one. Can’t wait for it to get here to get everything I own greased up. Looks like I’ll get one of those tips ordered also.

So far no problems and it works perfect. Just have to be careful and not overfill items with seals. I actually have been thinking about a second for the red grease I use in trailers. No dripping while sitting is another great feature. The tip has worked great and I bought a kit from northern tool with all the odball tips that lock nicely into it. Thanks for watching.

When I got my unit, it also had yellow grease on the plunger. I've also seen it on other YT unboxing videos for this unit. My guess is they do that with all new units post-production to keep the rubber plunger from drying out or shrinking while it is sitting in stock.

It would be nice if they stated the grease used and compatibility. Could cause huge issues. Thanks for watching.

Agreed, it would not take them much effort to do that. I've watched a few videos where they mixed different brands of grease and left them for a day with no apparent problems, so if they let you know what they used it could set the buyer's mind at ease. There seemed to be a lot less in mine, so it pretty much popped out, followed by my blue grease, as soon as I pressed the bleeder button.

Sitting means nothing. Apply heat and pressure along with seal incompatibility.

Hi, URHC , great looking 👀 tool, I have had a lot of Milwaukee tools, one of the best is there work lights as I like to recycle my batteries, when I think that they are flat, I put them in my work light 💡 switch on until the light goes out, then leave for a hr then put on slow changing, it helps to keep the batteries healthy and well maintained, not sure if it help with modern day batteries, but my battery are over 10 years old, and still working very good,
It’s great to see you keeping your machinery well maintained as a lot of people just purchase something and don’t look 👀 after it, I have tools that are 30-40 years old and still working great,
I already find your territorial information very interesting, Keep up your great info. Stay safe,

I started switching from Dewalt 20 volt tools to Milwaukee M18 about 2 years ago when the Dewalt quality and support went downhill. Milwaukee is a little more expensive but I am finding you get what you pay for. Somee of my tools are older then me but a little maintenance keeps them working good. The gaskets and seals leak after a couple years on the manual guns and its hard to find replacements on oddball brands so with those parts available on this gun it should be the last one I will need. Getting lazy in my old age and really ilke the convenience of tools like this that make life easier. Thanks for watching.

@@unemployedredneckhillbilly2023 I am a retired English gentleman not sure if is true or not 🤔😂, I used to have my own specialist jointer carpenter work shop business, I have some special joinery tools, Maffel chain mortising machine , it needs to be lubricated every time it used, and keeping tools sharp helps them to work easier, so maintenance is a must, for longevity, keep up your great work, I look 👀 forward to seeing your next project,

Phil, that was very true for Nicaragua battery technology...you had to run them down and then they wouldn’t suffer from the “memory effect”. Modern Lithium Ion technology is free of that (and so was Nickel Metal Hydride) so you shouldn’t need to discharge them or charge them to full. They do great in the 80% to 20% range, in fact, and will last forever if you never go to 0 or 100%.
