    Do you use Hnry? What are your thoughts after using it?

    • @kiwibonza
      @kiwibonza 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      but if you use an accountant, isnt that safer than you doing it yourself and running the risk of NOT getting it right and then IRD come after you ??

      @theman2423 did they use the correct bank account? Make sure to check this and let the Hnry helpdesk know asap

    Making people aware of the excellent tech industry services in NZ like Sharesies, Dosh and Hnry- that’s very unique content creation for our country. Keep up the good work Brent. 🙌🏻

    So glad you made this video. Im a builder and keep telling my mates to use Hnry but cant really explain it in detail to them apart from the obvious features. This should help out alot!

    Very practical application of AI being the accountant doing the bulk of job.

    thankyou for this information.. lots of airbnb folk ask in the NZ fb page about HNRY .. perhaps you could do a similar video? im dreading doing the research on how i will set it up tbh.

      @BrentColeman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry I don't have any experience with hosting AirBNBs and the tax implications of running one - guess it depends on how the property is structured (trust, company, partnership, sole trader) as Hnry only handles sole traders

    Hi Brent.
    I really like your videos but I really wish you’d slow down the pace in which to speak. It would be easier to understand the complexities of Hnry if you could take it down to a natural pace.

      You can hit setting and slow down the speed of the videos playback 🤙

    Thanks for this video Brent. I am new as a contractor and still getting use to live in NZ.
    I have a question with the expenses. Needs to be just expenses related to stuff for work? does it count parking expenses or food lunch expenses related???

    • @BrentColeman
      @BrentColeman  9 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Heya! Broadly speaking, your expenses should be related to your generation of revenue. For example, a retail store will have the cost of inventory and rental on their premises. The Hnry platform allows you to freely ask questions through their helpdesk, which can provide accounting advice for specific items. Hope this helps!

    im really new to being a contractor like just started and doing contract work for a company right the give you a job number to put on the invoice were would that be put on the invoice for hnry?

    • @BrentColeman
      @BrentColeman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Hiya! Not sure exactly what you mean but there are a couple things that might work. When an invoice is created through Hnry, you can create an itemised list of client chargeables, which could be job numbers. Alternatively, if you mean job numbers for Hnry matching payment to the invoice (e.g. reference), this is defaulted onto the invoice (e.g. INV-2080118). Hnry creates a bank account for you, so when clients pay the invoice it will be paid into this bank account and through the reference they can match it to the invoice. Hope this helps!

    1% fee is massive 😢 so expensive

    • @BrentColeman
      @BrentColeman  ปีที่แล้ว

      If you're making decent coin while being self-employed it definitely can be, all depends on how much time you're willing to put into the paperwork yourself or going with your own accountant. Hnry also caps the fee at $1500 a year. Thanks for watching!

    Can you run two businesses through HNRY?

    • @BrentColeman
      @BrentColeman  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Heya! To the best of my knowledge this isn't possible as Hnry only works with sole traders. They also handle IRD on your behalf, so having multiple accounts wouldn't work either.

    Hi, is the $25 credit still valid? Doesn't appear to be.

    • @BrentColeman
      @BrentColeman  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Heya! Yes it is, the credit gets attributed once you receive your first payment through their platform. Hope this helps!

    Later on AI will replace all these software

    • @BrentColeman
      @BrentColeman  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Possibly it may, however I would rather bet that AI is integrated into the existing software than replacing it altogether. Companies like Canva have used image generation AI to augment their existing software, as have others such as Microsoft through Copilot. This has made their software stronger and the barriers to entry greater.

    hi brent is hnry can sorted tax in tiger broker? thank you @brentcoleman

    • @BrentColeman
      @BrentColeman  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hey! What kind of tax are you considering? I'm not sure about Tiger Brokers, but when I use Sharesies for example, they take care of dividend taxes for me. If you're thinking of FIF tax, Sharesight might be a better option

      @@BrentColeman i try to sorted tax regarding day trading profits in US stock market. I already tried Sharesight but it’s too expensive 588 nzd per year to get my tax sorted. Thank for your time brent. Really appreciate ☺️

    • @BrentColeman

      Heya! I haven't tried using it with Shopify, but I found an article from Zapier. It seems it requires an integration with Zapier to make them both talk to one another unfortunately zapier.com/apps/shopify/integrations/hnry
