It's heartbreaking to imagine being in Falere's shoes. If Rila was old enough, she probably acted sort of like a second mother to Falere, especially after they went to the monastery and Samara became a Justicar. If that's the case, Falere is seeing both her sister and one of her mother figures die right before her eyes.
This was by far one of the most emotionally taxing levels in any game I've ever played. The pitch blackness at the start, the horrible fate of the Ardat-Yakshi, Rila's sacrifice, plus Samara's suicide attempt all added up to be an emotional roller-coaster for me.
Morinth was a sociopathic monster, she had no potential. You're told outright when you 'recruit her that you made a mistake. She was already practically a Banshee, the Reapers just finish the job.
I bet Samara needed every minute in her 400 year quest to kill Morinth. She talks about seeing her as dangerous and needing to be put down, but I’m betting the previous 4 centuries were used grieving and trying to cope with what she must do.
I've just thought of something. Ardat-Yakshi kills her mate during the joining, that is true and we could see how it works in ME2. But what, if two Ardat-Yakshi were to mate with each other?
jesus samara's blood line is thhe alien equivalent of the kennedy's family thheir just dropping like flys......and one of them does involve a head shot
@MASTER50577 No you silly didn't you see the other daughter? She got infected by the tit monsters so she blew the bomb up with her and the tit monsters around her before they fully changed her
Eric G I'm having a hard time digesting the notion of Morinth being "normal" in ME2. She was plenty crazy enough to begin with. Hell, indoctrination probably made her more pleasant to be around.
Eric G Well she inherited the near-square head of Samara, so I'll say she's a mere 6.5/10 for an Asari. If I deduct points for "death by snu-snu", it would just be unfair.
Indoctrination works as fast as it needs to, but rapid indoctrination deterioates the target faster. Shepard is probably more useful as a sabotage unit a few years down the line (like Rana Thanoptis) than a ground troop.
Don't forgot the prothan device and synthetic are evolve in why the indoctrination not working plus indoctrination doesn't truly work for people who are strong will and don't accept the gift of the reaper
MrApproximity those oaths are temporary, remember when you first recruited Samara she said "if you make me do anything too dishonorable I might have to kill you after I am released"
@fenix8634 She has 3, they're all ardat-yakshi but you killed one of them in ME2 and these are the other 2 you still meet her but you don't get this cut scene
the same reason Legion had to kill himself for no established reason, Miranda had to be "in hiding" and Grunt is tied up with the Urdnot clan while animations and mechanics are getting reused from Dead Space and GoW.
I really wished they'd let Samara to become a squadmate. It seemed after this should could have, but I've noticed none of the solely ME2 squadmates are allowed to be ones for ME3. So far at least, it seems only someone new or someone from ME1 is available. I miss Samara. Thank you for posting this.
I found something very interesting today as I was playing the final Mission in london, when you destroy the anti aircraft with the cain and get attacked by reaper troops including a banshee, because I chose morinth over samara in me2 and for whatever reason, I skipped this mission, on the london mission when you target the banshee, intstead of saying banshee it says morinth. If you do what I did you get to kill morinth. I thought that was pretty cool.
I would have used Samara for fuel in the Normandy's FTL drive after our conversation in ME2 if it weren't for her dawm good body. That and the predetermined gameplay of course.
I was under the impression that asari face tatoos were connected to their "fathers" race. Also i believe Samara mentions that only asari - asari pairings result in ardat-yakshi. Yet the sisters tatoos are different.
Honestly, no romance with Samara in ME2, only a slight teaser, and in ME3 no romance again. Fucking hell... This piss anyone else off? Even Jack didn't get a true Romance Scene...
@halfbreed1426 Will you look at mine? I want to know if others think it's good 131.16B.MI1.11J.J86.67W.9M9.711.936.1F7.246.112 although it ME3 imported it from ME2 weird you might have to adjust the jaw a little bit
I like how in ME2 it's 'Ardat-Yakshi are sooo rare there's only three' but then in ME3 there's just a crapload of them everywhere. Are the Bioware writers even allowed to talk to each other or are they all locked in separate rooms lol
There are more severe levels. More potent, according to the lore. Morinth, Rila, and Falere where the most potent alive at the time of the Reaper Invasion, which is one of the reasons that Morinth was so powerful... Commandos couldn't even best her at the peak of her power, and why she was as powerful (along with her victim's power and knowledge) as her mother, who was 500 years her senior in experience and general ability. Samara's daughters where so feared that they where not even allowed to visit Thessia to learn about the Asari, which many Ardat made a journey to under supervision. Most Ardat didn't have such a strong proclivity to dominate someones mind as strongly (much like Indoctrination-a lot of fans have wondered about the connection.... and there still where dangerous to mate with...) that Ardat like Morinth had, which is why Morinth was the most wanted Ardat-YakshI in the galaxy and Samara said of these Ardat she was in charge of as a Justicar where among only "three." About 1% of the population of Asari were Ardat, so it would be well into the hundred thousands (before the war started there where billions of Asari) in various monasteries around Asari space. Banshees only need the genetic disposition to become Ardat-Yakshi, so while its is preferable to get an actual Ardat (which is why they attacked the monastery where Rila and Falere resided- There are many grouped in one place, so its pretty efficient harvesting) they can turn regular Asari into banshees that have the gene. (So yeah, Samara herself... though not an Ardat- could have become one under certain circumstances since she obviously birthed three examples... ) ((There is some question however, if it was Samara that was the carrier, or its runs through the non-birthing pureblood AsarI-since as it is known.. only children of two Asari can become Ardat, and we have not information on Samara's lover))
How do you get to see some of your squadmates from ME2? I beat the game today and the only one I met so far is Jacob, Miranda, and Mordin. That's it. How do you meet the rest like Jack, Thane, and Samara?
ME2 - Morinth: "I am the genetic destiny of the asari!"
ME3 - Banshees.
Yikes.
Well she wasn't wrong - her genetic destiny was ideal for the Reapers.
04:26 Pls Kaidan, not now. Control yourself.
LOL he just had to check dat ass

If that's the case, Falere is seeing both her sister and one of her mother figures die right before her eyes.
And she can also lose her actual mother at the end of the mission if Shepard isn't fast enough.
+Mimi Mokarran You mean Falere. Falere is seeing both her sister and one of her mother figures die. You had the two mixed up :)
wow it's been a while
i love how she keeps her temper and sticks by the code but inside she's dying
This was by far one of the most emotionally taxing levels in any game I've ever played. The pitch blackness at the start, the horrible fate of the Ardat-Yakshi, Rila's sacrifice, plus Samara's suicide attempt all added up to be an emotional roller-coaster for me.
Morinth was a sociopathic monster, she had no potential. You're told outright when you 'recruit her that you made a mistake. She was already practically a Banshee, the Reapers just finish the job.
if you actully chose her for your squad it actually increases the number of banshee's at the end of the game and one of them actually is morinth.
@@blackpistolshooter No, you fight a Banshee there anyway, they just slap her name on it if she was still alive.
This is so sad... Samara losing another of her daughters... First Morinth, now this....
I bet Samara needed every minute in her 400 year quest to kill Morinth. She talks about seeing her as dangerous and needing to be put down, but I’m betting the previous 4 centuries were used grieving and trying to cope with what she must do.
This was definitely and emotional mission at that. :(
Then there's the way Samara says "Female." That mom tone. Haha I quite dig it.
Everytime i hear that scream.... everytime
This mission fucked my up so much. Samara is my favorite squadmate in the series, and her story is so sad but inspiring. Seeing this got me deep.
Unfortunately, Samara doesn’t join the squad, she becomes a War Asset
...And Rila says "We are not your slaves" and that reminds me of Fenris.
6:46 When you can make a banshee's face go into "Oh crap" mode, you KNOW you're a badass.
@amazeblaze I'm pretty sure that she only appears as a Banshee herself, and not inclined for having conversation.
@AquillaRVM because of Jennifer fucking Hale one of the most talented Voice actress who has ever voice acted a game.
I like how when rila shows the banshee the detonator, the banshee just goes "Oh fuck me sideways."
this game is filled with sad moments

Played ME3 before playing the campaign. Until you've unlocked everything, those banshee screams mean either run, or rocket.
@MASTER50577 No you silly didn't you see the other daughter? She got infected by the tit monsters so she blew the bomb up with her and the tit monsters around her before they fully changed her
@NikoBellicSerbia
all asaris are lesbians
well bisexual (they are a female only race)
Don't know why, but Falere reminds me of Bethany from Dragon Age 2.
@Gabriella931000
Morinth, being an Ardat-Yakshi, is turned into a Banshee by the Reapers.
Only way Rila could be more badass if she gave that banshee and the reaper controlling it the finger before she set off the bomb
How did they indoctrinate Rila so freaking fast, and yet Shepard has been exposed way more to Reaper tech for a longer period?
marylain69 My guess would be that her mind was not nearly as strong as Shepard's.
Eric G I'm having a hard time digesting the notion of Morinth being "normal" in ME2.
She was plenty crazy enough to begin with. Hell, indoctrination probably made her more pleasant to be around.

Oh, crap, I shouldn't have asked. Goodness gracious, and I was there, thinking that division by zero is serious business...
I thought that if you had recruited Samara in ME2 she sworn that Shepards code is her code ? Why does she still mention the code if that's the case ?
MrApproximity those oaths are temporary, remember when you first recruited Samara she said "if you make me do anything too dishonorable I might have to kill you after I am released"
oo yeah I just replayed that scene . Thanks by the way hahahaha
huggies for samara
@fenix8634 She has 3, they're all ardat-yakshi but you killed one of them in ME2 and these are the other 2 you still meet her but you don't get this cut scene
I'm glad samara joins you in ME3 so many of the ME2 characters are in ME3 but aren't in your squad, IRS good to see Samara is
@gaddeiljr "Trouble" implies that it's possible with effort. It's a freaking ANTI-TANK rifle. Any other human wouldn't be able to use it at all.
GODAMN i love watching samara walk up stairs.....
Banshees were annoying
@gaddeiljr Those Cerberus cybernetics sure help.
@Gabriella931000 I heard she becomes a Banshee somewhere in the game. D:
What stopped Samara from joining the crew after this? I know she helps in the final assault and what not but why not actually join the team?
the same reason Legion had to kill himself for no established reason, Miranda had to be "in hiding" and Grunt is tied up with the Urdnot clan while animations and mechanics are getting reused from Dead Space and GoW.

@delta5297 her crazy daughter takes her place. The one you killed in you choose Samara.
Rila is a fucking badass.
saddly war effort

I wanted her as a romance option... :(
Nothing in the code forbids it!
When I did that I thought she meant she was rejoining my squad...
*sigh
@kistuszek
asari don't have face tatoos
@hungeredone
ok its different planet not thessia, just done it
The Ardat-yakshi monastery not sure what planet.
A more correct term would be facial markings.
The universe explodes.
Anyone meet Morinth yet,i cant find any video of her in ME3.
She’s on Earth as a reaper
@Shanongao thats what im thinking
This is why we can't have nice things. :(
I was under the impression that asari face tatoos were connected to their "fathers" race. Also i believe Samara mentions that only asari - asari pairings result in ardat-yakshi. Yet the sisters tatoos are different.

So who takes Samara's place if she died in ME2? Also, what would happen if two Ardat-Yakshi tried to mate with each other?
No one takes her place
@snake9718 no she doesn't
I wasn't paying attention and Samara goes and kills herself on me. Oops.
I love your FemShep design. Is she an import from ME2
Samara's a bad ass sex kitten. Why did they make us trade down in me3 and go back to Liara. amg...
I like how in ME2 it's 'Ardat-Yakshi are sooo rare there's only three' but then in ME3 there's just a crapload of them everywhere. Are the Bioware writers even allowed to talk to each other or are they all locked in separate rooms lol

I feel sorry for the Banshee stupid enough to get in Samara's way.
what happens if 2 ardat-yakshi fuck each other? Do they both die? Do none of them die? Does the weaker one die?
So why do they only re purpose asari that are capable of becoming the ardat-yakshi or whatever they're called?
Way more powerful biotics
They really squandered Morinth's potential for ME3 if you chose to help her in ME2.
@karlosj1012 didny she join in the end?
@zoushaomenohu
thessia only had artifact mainline mission, is there any prereq to get this mission
You get this mission after completing the Citadel priority mission
wtf i did this mission but i never found samara?

Make sure everyone survived the final Mission in ME2
@AquillaRVM I personally don't really care about Shep's gender one way or another, but goddamn it, I'm tired of seeing this question.
@gizelbelcoot Thessia, the asari homeworld.
Isnt that default Femshep?
Wait...let's go
Why I find that so damn funny =p
lol somebody actually saved Kaiden.
I always save him, because I live by the Code, "Bros before hoes" and because he's Canadian.
Hey, I liked Kaidan.
I always save Kaiden when I play as Femshep.
it's mostly about killing off ashley
I killed ashley because she killed wrex
@psykokimera motorboat
@fenix8634 nope..
how the fuuck did u meet samara??? i did this and i didnt meet her
Do you mind if I ask what your Shepard's face code is?
which mission is this, which planet???
Nope.
@MH01449 lol ma ass
What is music close to the end
This maybe quite late, but it's the second half part of "The Ardat Yakshi"
