Scooby my dude! ❤ Thank you very much for sharing your knowledge! This will be of great help to the community! Also for using the Wicked model! It looks awesome! Much love to you and we love having you here!
Thank you. Will see what I can do with the sound. But the printer with extraction on is pretty loud… I don’t mind as it lives in the garage but I also just put it inside a cupboard. So noise isn’t a problem for me…
I got my Halot Mage 8K about a week ago. Absolutely love it. I've noticed that there is no bearing at the top of the Z rod on yours. Mine has a bearing at the top of the Z rod as well. Strange.... I must add that the filter works very well. No smells at all 😊 I did a software update on mine. The build plate now moves a lot faster when pushing the home button. Before, it was excruciatingly slow.
Thanks for sharing… yes I did mention the missing part on the video. I’ve contacted Creality and they shipped me the missing bits. Will be updating when I receive it. What version are you using? I have the latest from their website….
Hi, i think i'm going to Buy one, but i don't know if the z axis can print less than 0.05 um because even with 8k You loose resolution without it and is not clear in the especifications if it can, have You tested with less um? Otherwise maybe i choose the pothon m5, but i'm still in doubt, i like this machine but is important that Good video
Yes. As I said in the video, this dimension with 8k has less than 0.03 resolution per pixel. I did use same layer height (0.03mm) and I can’t see any lines or artefacts. So yes, this printer can do less than 0.05 on z
I use lychee but it’s a personal preference. Any recent slicer handles it nicely. The “K” number on the resin is just marketing. Any resin can be used. The time depends on resin exposure and motion, so can’t tell precisely but I’m getting around 10sec per layer….
It uses the Creality format cxdlpv4, I’m yet dialling in the settings but the time depends on your resin and exposure times (and lift like I’ve shown in the video). 40mm/h seems high I’ll update if I get around this. At the moment I’m more around 20mm/h
@@scooby3dprints67 try maybe to update the firmware as far as i know it was updated at the end of 2023. ppl say it helped with the vertical speed a lot, because out of the box the device seems pretty sleepy and the platform crawls up and down pretty slow. I'm asking because currently i'm picking between Halot Mage and Saturn 2 8k both of them are roughly at the same price. I like Halot Mage because of the rotating lid it seems very convenient, but there are plenty of small quirks which are the result of cutting the corners, not sure if i will be able to live with them... and the speed also quite bothers me. Saturn 2 also is a cheap device, but it seems manufacturers cheapened it in a right way so that this doesn't affect crucial aspects such as speed and quality, not interested much in bells and whistles such as smart resin pump or wifi honestly)

Thank you for the awesome models!
Very nice and detailed review, thanks! (maybe lower the background music a bit, or cut it completely so we can hear the printer)

@@scooby3dprints67 it's like manufacturers hate their own creation) most of th time they tend to blow up those numbers in their ads)
What do you use to cure your prints? I have UV curable resin.
I usually throw it in my DIY curing box. Check this video out…

What setting and slicer you use for print ?
I used Lychee and the settings are in the video description. Let me know if you need anything else….

I did not see a link for the portable heater, could you please provide one, that is exactly what I am looking for.
This one is even better
