The show starts as silly "lol random" plots, but it expands on lore and background history as you progress, fleshing out the characters and world building greatly, while keeping that "lol random" spirit. Especially now that _Fionna and Cake_ is out, it takes place years after the entire plot of AT but with more pg-13 elements (blood, partial nudity, etc.)
huge recommendation!! the early seasons (1-3) are a little childish, but thats bc adventure tiime does this really neat thing where the themes and the writing age with the audience. seasons 5 onwards are nothing but bangers, diving into interesting philosophical statements in 10 minute bite-sized stories that mosaic into genuinely one of the most beautiful and fleshed out shows out there. if you want some examples of a great episodes with next-to-none plot importantance try "Princess Cookie" "BMO Noire" and "Thanks for the Crabapples Giuseppe"

I like how they subtle develop raggedy princess throughout the series shes usually meek, quite, thrown to the back side having its uses in small occasions time to time much like the things in her kingdom so when gets a small piece of attention no matter how small she clings to it and wants to enjoy and take advantage while it lasts. No gives her time of day such as when pb says she has low self esteem saying "Raggedy princess could be your new hambo, she'll do it too." Explains why she hid the ball, she found people to atleast acknowledge her existence. Out of all the princesses I've always enjoyed her the most and liked it when she atleast got some screen time.

It’s prevents Jake and BMO from finding what they want immediately, thus making them spend more time looking for a ball. She didn’t know why they needed a ball, but she did her best to make them stay. And she didn’t have any cruel intentions, her only motivation was to spend more time with them. And really, this was probably her only opportunity to do something like this, since the scene prior she was stuck onto a pole, wrapped in rope acting like a scarecrow and asking to spend time with *anything* that happened to walk by her, including Finn and Jake (who probably never followed up on their promise to visit her). To put it bluntly, she’s extremely pathetic. So to do what she did, I don’t feel anything negative towards her, only pity and I really want the better for her. She fixes things for people and gets nothing in return, so I wish at the very least she’d have someone to talk to.

Poor Raggedy Princess... since she's likely immortal, how long has she been "ruling" over her "rag kingdom?" As PB said, she has no self-respect, and that's very true. It's said she has the power to mend anything, an extremely valuable gift in a wild world like Ooo, and yet it's clear she lets everyone take her for granted. This sad little creature could be one of the most influential figures on the continent if she wasn't so desperate for validation as to offer up her skills (and herself) for free. Considering her lack of subjects, her title of "Princess" was likely given by the other princesses out of pity, as they likely all rely on her for tailoring duties. Sadly, this also likely makes her feel obligated to help them for free, as they're the closest things to friends she has. People in the comments say she needs a friend, but without self-respect, any friendship she had would lead to dependency. What Raggedy Princess REALLY needs is a confidence mentor.
