You won many hearts when you said "It's not always easy to find cheap eats". So damn true. And yes It's not about money sometimes but these cheap eats is what reflects the real culture of the place. Keep up the good work guys.. You guys are too good. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Why are the toilets paid for? Because water, paper, cleaning products and cleaning toilets cost money.
Besides, people who don't pay for something don't respect the thing and destroy it.

Yes, it makes sense and this is 100% true in theory, but unfortunately, we found that many of the paid toilets were not clean. We have lived in New Zealand for eight years and have rarely encountered paid toilets, yet those we used were generally clean. Having said that, it is unfair to compare it like this that we realised later on!

In large shopping malls, toilets are free.

Aaaah, really? We tried that trick in Prague but they had a fee too so we assumed it would be the same for Poland!

Each region of Poland has its own local delicacies. Krakow is associated with Krakow sausage, bajgel and obwarzanek krakowski, and Krakow maczanka. Obwarzanek krakowski has been produced since the 13th century. Sold from small carts in the old town. Bajgels were also created in Krakow. Krakow Jews started baking bagels in the 17th century. Emigrants brought them to the USA in the 19th century. Today they are a symbol of New York. Maczanka Krakowska is pulled pork with a rich sauce, pickles and bread roll. It was established in the 18th century. It was a delicacy for students and cab drivers. Zapiekanka is a product of the economic collapse of communism. Food was rationed in Poland in the 1980s. There were empty regiments in stores, and small, private catering was going out of business. You could buy vinegar, shampoo, some cheese, potatoes, some mushrooms, old bread and ketchup. Someone came up with the idea to bake baguettes with cheese with mushrooms and pour ketchup on top. Today, Zapiekanki are very diverse. 🙂 The history of Milk Bars is worth reading on Wikipedia.
