Some Swordsoul useful tips - max out Ecclesia as she is your another Swordsoul cards (although not a Wyrm). Play at 2-3 copies - Iris can come at clutch, but she is really restrictive and there is other cards that can replace her easily - add Protos (a Wyrm) as a 'locking' strat, providing you can search it easily with Emergence (if you have a Synchro monster on the field) and Heavenly Circle - Heavenly circle is useful to avoid Imperm or negations, but also act as a searcher for your Wyrms. If you want to add Swordsoul, dont special summon by Circle's effect as their effect will be negated upon summoned. - learn what Tenyi restrictions. Tenyi requires Normal monster (Swordsoul Token or Monk of the Tenyi) for their effects. Ashuna restricts into Wyrm Extra Deck summons for the rest of the turn, so be careful on your gameplan. Shaman can help in clutch to revive your boss monsters (but cannot use their effects) after revived. - Emergence is a one-card starter, but leads to weaker lines. - Swordsoul deckbuilding restricting on more Wyrm maindeck monsters but not on Extra Deck, and the Token on the field locks you into Synchro summons only. Adding engines or handtraps are fine as long as you can access Swordsoul easily (sufficient Wyrm count in every hand by testing possible draws).
Just a correction, as it might come handy. Don't forget that synchro monster revived by shaman from GY can activate their effects as shaman only restricts those that are summmoned from Extra deck.
This is so helpful! Thankyou for this. Gonna keep all of this noted and in mind. Real quick, I've been experimenting with the card: The Abyss Swordsoul, but a lot of people seem to not play it or don't see the need to do so. My time with the card has been very 50/50. That being the case, is it something you would recommend as an alternate option to Iris who is a little more situational?
There's a janky tech I'm currently practicing in my deck, which is putting 2 copies of Gizmek Orochi (level 8) to thin out deck faster and 2 copies of Assault Synchron for more tuners. Basically, more way to access level 10s with usual Swordsoul 6+4, new 3+7 (ash as tuner) and 2+8 (assault and any level 8)
I've been also trying to learn swordsoul, like to get a synchro summon only using tenyi, what and how to synchro summon before getting wyrm lock, swordsoul spell and trap interaction (why I feel two blackout is safer), and calling on which synchro is the better use in that scenario. Honestly I'm not the best swordsoul player but I'm still learning stuff (if I get to craft a few ringowurm might try a slightly different build).
Yeah we still learning. Even though you can win games with the basics of Swordsoul, there's a lot of tech if you really want to take full advantage of the deck. Gonna keep at it tho. Deck is AWESOME!!!

as a backup strat u could use/put psychic end punisher in your side/extra since u could summon it with either vishuda/ashuna + swordsoul token
Got it!! Thankyou for that. Will definitely keep that in mind. Appreciate!
But PEP is level 11,no? So you can't use ash as tuner. You'll need to use the token as tuner.
@@yearoldjar ah right forgot about that thx for the correction
@@yearoldjar Would you recommend any similar alternatives?
