I love this Renault 5 turbo rally car. Good that you are building it after all these years. You are right. We should enjoy them while we still can. The value is no use to us when we are gone. Looking forward to seeing the restoration.👍😊
The new project is very interesting. You can’t take these things with you in the end so enjoy them. Wonderful video Nanni. It is a great RC worldwide community. Thanks for sharing.
They are both great looking bodies! I'm a big fan of the MK1 VWs, but the paint job is very difficult. I really enjoy your videos, and yes, the RC community is amazing... people helping each other, sharing parts and ideas. It is wonderful.
Looking forward to seeing it rebuilt and out for a run on the track! I am glad you are possibly getting some parts for the 6 wheeler, I wish I had parts for it but I don't. Glad you are getting help from other though! Such a great community!
Hi Addam, yes at the end I can run the 6 wheeler. Now I have to work a little and than after so many years see the front 4 wheels steering! Great community!! Ciao!!
Ah, winter, brrr, you got that right, Nanni! Yeah, I do love a good restoration project also, I agree they are very satisfying indeed! This one looks like a great challenge, just get it back in running shape, I am sure it will be screaming fast just with a "modest" modern motor and ESC. I started getting interested in these little cars, I might try something like this for next summer, he he...
Not so bad as it seems. The car is in pretty good conditions and spares are available. Start now building a kit of a car you love.. do it slowly and this is the way to learn. RTR models are not the best way to became expert. Ciao!!
Hey Nanni, a great vintage RC, the Golf Mk1 body is definitely a beautiful body, I also remember well, the Renault 5 at the GT5 Turbo, back in the 80's. Renault came up with the smaller engine than the VW, but Renault used that turbo unit to increase power, but in the 80's there was always the 'turbo lag' issue, as the turbo pressure from the exhaust built up to spin the turbine blades. Hey, you mentioned in your video, when you're not here, I do hope that is not for a long time yet, where would I be without my favourite Italian friend ? 😀😉☺best wishes to you and the family 😉

Well I'm thinking about building the Renault. On one hand I want to see the body on the run, on the other I like the virgin kit.... who knows.. Ciao

Hi John, by now I'm in perfect shape.... Renault was very difficult to drive because the turbo bust was very strong. Ciao
Le "GOAT" we found him
Sorry It's quite cryptic to me...... any how ... Ciao!
Awesome car. Thanks for showing. The use of the R5 body's a great idea. Do you know why the front tires have these three sections?
Thanks, Its harder and runs better than sponge so if I remember well was to have a different grip on straight. Ciao!
