- It was awesome seeing this a foot away from him. Also, take a look at the link below. Jeff and his band were recently robbed of all their equipment in St. Louis. If you enjoy what he does, take the time to help him out and pitch in to make sure he and the guys can finish their tour with Soilwork.

Definitely influenced by Jason Becker! Loving it!
Indeed! You can feel the big Becker style's arpeggios and scales.
In my next life, can I be Jeff Loomis? Please.
You can be Joey G this life
X2
Came to comment this but...
Practice 6 hours a day for the next 5 years
@@metalheadblues it's not like everyone can be like jeff just by practicing, you need fair amounts of talent to be able to play this clean all the time live, and to compose like him.
Shreds with such ferocity; hits incredibly hard.
Jeff is one of the reasons I play a schecter 7 string to this day
Too bad he doesn't. I'd always wanted to buy his signature model.
@@sigiligus you can get a used one. I've played it before. Great neck
I've never been a person to have an Idol or idols, but as an aspiring musician, I definitely look up to Jeff Loomis.
my hand is cramping just watching this
Weird. I jerk off to porn, but to each his own.
@@kingbrutusxxvi How you could sit there in your chair without a stiffy when this is right in front of you, I will never understand.
You might see a doctor.
You know, I have this exact same guitar and mine doesn't do any of this! I might need to send it back. ;-p
I would return it, yours must be a fake, a POS Chinese knock off!
@Mike B Thanks for the recommendation, I will do that. Now that is an insane combination!
@Mike B Thanks man, simply incredible!
Lol
@Mike B Whoa, wait, what? The whole show is on there?!! I'm on it now man...got it qued up now Nevermore The Year of the Voyager full performance Right on dude!

Mind blowing. I just ordered his recent CD. Again, how have I missed this guy?
i assume you're also missed Sanctuary and Nevermore.
Who cares that he fucks up in the easy part everybody fucks up once in a while, that just makes him look more humanlike, love that! Jeff Loomis is fucken sick, he is one of the best guitarist there is. I love the fact that he incorporates influences like Jason Becker, Yngwie Malmsteen into his heavier style.
+zakk ozzy Ha ha yeah check out Wes Borlands' Yamaha clinic boondoggles!
yeah sounds like yngwie malmsteen and jason becker :D but he is the best😣
in addition to this, he wrote the song, so he can do whatever the fuck he wants lmao
I put this on all the time and just amazing to watch Jeff play it this close! Thanks
Bow down to the almighty LOOMIS!!
The dislikes are all people mad they'll never be this good
i'm still not sick of this song and that's sick!
He’s ridiculous. Such a nice soft spoken guy too !
Find it kinda funny how hes using Synister Gates's Schecter Amp head.
Absolutely phenomenal guitar work. All around what a very dynamic song. Great tune
Holy fuckin shit! One of the best guitarists out there! LOOMIS! LOOMIS! LOOMIS!
We need Loomis releasing a new solo album
This guitar song is a masterpiece.
Glad you liked it!
Nice one man, good to see it up close and personal.
lmao the cam went up just a bit at the part i was looking at on the tabs to try and complete
Awesome Loomis! Gus Drax did a cover of this and I say Gus Drax can play note for note with the best guitarists out there!
Him, Romeo, and Skolnick for a different G3!
Great closeup of amazing technique
Amazing!!!

No se puede creer que toque eso en vivo, es un super héroe de verdad

Sensacional MDS coisa maravilhosa demais.
Man, you were all up in there. No mercy!

Why didn't anyone stop that spider raping the fretboard?!?!?!? Jeff just picked thru the whole thing like it wasn't even happening. D:
Wtf are you talking about

i can see a really inspiration of jason becker in that song. the arpeggios sound like
Awsome
God-like
(Homer Simpson) ..."save me Jeebus!!!" Holy cow why have I not heard of this guy before youtube?! Gary Holt, Brendan Small, Mr Loomis here and a few others could have changed my life ten years ago dammit! I hate being a late bloomer. Time to practice!
I first heard of Jeff from an album called "Godless Endeavor" which I pretty much played for about 5 or 6 years. Been a big fan ever since.
I love seeing brendan listed with these guys lol (he absolutely deserves the credit)
no one dislike!! great
Besides the obvious that he's a guitar god, his guitar looks so beautiful.

Schecter Hellwin baby
Synyster Gates model, isn't it?
yup
He is the choseone
(Translated by Google translator) Sorry, I do not speak English. He at some point in the second string is a little upset, or it seemed to me? Later, when he plays up on the record the second guitar, dubbed the party, but with a certain interval, they have a little dissonance was on the second string.
JokerBlack327 i didn't understand you. Which language do you speak? Because google translator is bad
What is his bridge pickup? 81 or 85?
Both neck and bridge are 707s.
Is god
Figures they were robbed in St. Louis of all places...
Talented yes....
But, then there is.....
Shawn Lane.🎸🔊🔊🔊
I don't see Shawn Lane as a guitarist anymore, he was something beyond guitar.
I've yet to see anyone that can do the crazy stuff shawn lane did on guitar
@@killz323
Marshall Harrison on youtube
Jeff looks like having a big thumb. Always showing on the top of guitar neck, and a lo of times embracing the lower string, even on a 7-string beck.
Wah the heavy chugging shredding amazin
$3k guitar
yes, jeff loomis is amazing. as for the guitar, its only around $1k. sadly their discontinued now.
That mistake was intetional just to disguise himself as a human😉
nightmare(avenged sevenfold) video behind jeff
Hope that guitar was 18 😂
solo a mi me suena a Jason Becker?
Está muy influenciado por él, la verdad.
Why did you take your eyes off Jeff? Just wanted to see Portnoy's mistake one more time? :P
I don't understand how
Shit-ton of "smart" practice and dedication.
@@BlackZar84 yeah I applaud him. I could never
That is just unfair...
who needs another Paganini on guitar. Played
even loomis cant play it :)
Are you ducking kidding me he is killing it
@@holylucretia5849 meh not the intro part so much, everything else sounds tight tho
