I was about to comment that 66 was used a lot for people migrating west during the depression and the song although first composed in the 40's by Barry Troup, a white man, was popularized by Nat King Cole and Chuck Berry, then The Rolling Stones. Having grown up in Oakland and Berkeley, I was friends with a lot of children of black families that moved from the South along 66 seeking work in California harbors and military bases during WW2.

I live in California. There is a woman who adopts “broke” horses. She used to use them as therapy for kids at risk. She said there was something that brought out the nurturing, helping and loving side of those kids. They curry the horse, feed them, lead them on walks until they can be rode. Once the horses were really calm, she had a program where special needs kids could ride them. My daughter was lucky enough to be a part of that program. But even if it’s just your wife’s project and not something she shares, I thoroughly understand her commitment to those horses. While broken, they help put something back together for us humans.
That sounds like a really wonderful program. I knew adults who grew up firmly in the "at risk" community, and for a lot of them it wasn't until they discovered something they could care about, especially if they were also around people in a different environment than they were used to, where they discovered that they could be more than the sum of how they were raised. Horses sound like a great way to do that, and the fact that special needs kids also get to reap the rewards sounds amazing.
I had a friend back in the 90's who took in abused and abandoned pit bulls. She would find foster homes for most of them after helping them get well, but kept the ones who only trusted her. The big limit to good employment by folks who have been incarcerated is that when you get up to so called "white collar" jobs, 9 out of 10 employers won't employ someone with a record. Period. I've seen people pass the interview with flying colors, inform their potential employer that there will be something on the background check, and then get rejected when the check comes back. 9 out of 10 in the IT field, not an exaggeration. I understand your concern and I don't think those professionals are wrong. That being said, it's far too dangerous to diagnose people from afar even if that one time you get it right. It's a horrible precedent to set. Imagine a world where ANY public appearance by ANYONE is considered a psych evaluation. There is a world of difference between what people say and how they act in public when they have a set goal versus fully vulnerable and open in therapy. The therapist's office is a sacred space. We cannot pretend a podium on a stage is the same environment. Again, cause I feel like I need to repeat it - I don't think they're wrong, TFG appears to be in serious decline. What would be a good idea is for people sharing what book or movie that has left a lasting impression on them. I'll start, ever since I was young and went to the movies to watch Mahatma Gandhi, I have never forgotten it and his message. I'm now 70 and still can close my eyes to see the images of that movie. That movie gave me a lot to think about being so young. I was fortunate to attend several diversified schools. I did attend a school that wasn't and have life long friends that attended that school to this day. Those friends aren't as culturally aware as I am. They seem to live in a much smaller world. They live in fear of the unknown. I'm thankful for my advantage of knowing that people are more alike then not. We are a part of the human race. Not separate from it. I got to know that people are pressured to conform to a group, no mater what group that is. It takes courage to be your own person. I am so glade that my children turned out to have the same insight that I do and their world is larger.
I think the best part of being exposed to a variety of cultures is that you can become aware of much we all still have in common, despite our differences, rather than just those differences. ✌️🫶🌎☮️🕊

I just don't agree with an actual diagnosis (which requires a lot of intimate investigation) floated around by professionals 😫
@@anamakesthingsI also have a problem with Mary Trump being brought in as a Trump expert. Her perspective as a family member is interesting, but I don't Believe she should be speculating about his mental status or diagnosis. It is her professional area of experience, but he is also family. It seems unethical to me.
@@theresamagladry1158 absolutely.
That's not to say she can't offer valuable insight. It's perfectly fine to comment on events and how she perceived him throughout their lives.
But diagnosis... Ufff... I wish the conversation around mental health was positioned in a way to empower us to be better people OURSELVES, not to pick up a professional term and use it as ammo indiscriminately for whatever we see on TV.
This is how you end up with people going through a slightly unpleasant argument and calling it gaslighting. 🤦♀️
A lighthearted episode is a wonderful change of pace in today's world. Thank you, Beau.
Latest book that I'm reading "White Rural Rage", interview on Trae Crowder's Tuesday skews very interesting! Highly recommend
I love him! He makes me laugh out loud.
So many beautiful and caring souls here on YT sharing their love for America and fellow Americans and the world.

Sometimes a coffee cup is just a coffee cup but there's an easter egg inside it. because toddlers, lol. Though the last unapproved thing in mine was a toy mouse my young cat dropped in there. There was still tea in it. Oh well, at least it wasn't a living or unalived mouse.
Good morning all. Happy Thursday!
Have a great day!👋☀️

Talk about old 😊 The TV show ROUTE 66 from way back when!😂!❤!

Hello sisters, brothers and others, it's your Happy Hippie Brother Zippo. Thursday morning is becoming the best morning of the week, imo. I look forward to deeper dives into the issues
I seem to recall that your wife is a nurse by profession. That’s why she “over-explains.” Nurses are educators as well as caregivers.
And deal with distraught people every day who will have a hard time remembering what she told them if she's too concise.
Indeed! You generally explain everything three times in three different ways to three different family members in addition to the patient. 😁
Route 66 harkens back to a period in time, and even the song is ancient, originally ''Route 66'' was a hit in 1946 with Nat King Cole, and also performed by Chuck Berry, then later with The Rolling Stones in 1966. It's Iconic :)
Yes, get your kicks on Route 66 was about adventure and seeing new cities. This was followed up by a TV show of the same name featuring a Chevrolet Corvette.
Not to mention the one by Depeche Mode in the '80s.
Thanks for immediately telling us why you had to pre-record this (autistic anxiety over here), also, thanks for all you do when you're not doing so much for the collective us/US.
❤
I donated and posted the link on my Facebook. I have family who have been incarcerated and I donate to organs that mitigate the incredible hurdles people face upon release.
Route 66. Expanding your knowledge of the world beyond your town / city.. new adventures unexpected discovery
I’d love to see a video with the horses.
Beau has one where he is in the corral with them the whole time! One seems obsessed with him... Marilyn, I think. Very funny as she nibbles on him.
Hello Everyone!
I'm kind of worried about "next" episode.
😂😂😂
Good morning Beau and internet folks on the roads!

Hey Beau such a great program thank you for doing this 😊
Horses are expensive and a lot of work. Enough said.
But they are also beautiful and a balm to the soul. Have a great day!
Both these statements are correct.
They don't lie. I happen to have a horse related career. They are also stupid expensive
Beau, lol, that cute look at 'the horses usually don't leave' ...great!👍💙💙💙🥰✌
Bless your wife for rescuing and caring for horses in need.
Thanks for being so consistent with your work. I know it's hard to keep it going but we appreciate it. Checking in with you is like checking in with a friend, or since you sound like family, it's like checking in with the smart cousin who didn't drink the maga Kool aid. Thanks for being there.❤ It matters more than you know.
I enjoy our Thursday road trip.
Love that you mentioned Resident Alien. It's a hidden gem of a show.
I really enjoy the pamphlet opening showing aliens what to do or not do.
I think that the fascination with Route 66 lies at the intersection of car guy things and old guy things. I've definitely added it to my bucket list.
Good point.
That's my intersection. Been there, done that, pre freeway.
Yes you’re an essential part of my day
I guess I'm not the only one who really appreciates the schedule you've set up. More than glad I'm a subscriber.
Two things. As a retired corrections officer, I appreciate programs to help formerly incarcerated people with education and job training so thank you! Also, I love the purple hoodie 😊

Route 66 as a navigable road only exists in segments today.
Heres a pro tip:
5 miles west of Ash Fork AZ, leave I-40 @Exit 139.
You'll then be on 66 clear into California, the longest intact stretch
See you when you get here
Howdy there Beau & Internet People 😊👋🏻
❤ Hope everyone will have a marvelous day! ❤
I just checked. As of 4:00 p.m. PST, Project Rebound is at $69,384 from 981 donors. Not all from Beau-regards, I'm sure, but I'm fairly confident that this channel has made a huge and positive impact.
they ended up with 90k!!
10:04 Just finished season 2 of Resident Alien. If you like it, you might like "the good place".
Yes, I watch ALL of your videos, maybe not the minute or even the day they are posted, but I do watch them. All of them. I appreciate you (& your team) more than you know.
Bless you and your entire team and family. Heal up. Be well.
I love you actually think of us in making these videos. The algorithm recommended you during COVID lockdown, incidentally the best thing it's done. You've made an impact on my life and those I share you with, my sons especially. You are a part of our days.
Thank you! 💚☕🍏
Great way to start my morning
Beau. You are the voice of knowledge on subject matter, reason, clarity, perspective, and history. Thank you for my, and my family's, anchor in a media awash with mis and disinformation. ❤
I love resident alien. Alan Tudyk as Harry is great. They struck gold when then cast him. He's so funny.
Every October I participate in a Peanutbutter Challange thru our county extension office. All donations are matched by peanut growers. It would be great if everyone could support their local food banks with this program.
Good morning Beau 🙏🏻

Oh no, we thought the coffee cup was a secret sign. We shaved our heads and gave all our worldly possessions to Niel the Seal.
I have to say that “even the pain is gone at this point” makes me feel like a wimp. With my various middle-aged (and then some) afflictions, discomfort and lack of mobility are really all I care about, and in that order.
Being in Tucson, Arizona the mention of Ms Beau's "fostering" reminds me of the fact there are several horse rescue organizations here and elsewhere in the West. As I recall, there is one specifically for the remaining wild horses.
@Beau - The roots grow better and you get more larger fruit when they're in the ground.😂🤣Thanks for all you do brother.😉👊🥰😎
Thanks for the heartwarming check in :)
Just saw news US is building emergency pier for food delivery in Gaza!
Great news, from several angles.
Good morning 🌞
OK.... this merch is kind of scaring me! 🤣
Beau, you have those leggings? Also, Tristan Snell is a good follow on the socials.
Resident Alien is worth watching just for Tudyk's antics.
Blessings and take care!!
I ADORE Resident Alien on SYFY!! I'm glad you like it too, Did you know its actually filmed up here in Canada? Actually in Ladysmith BC to be precise the same town they filmed Roxanne with Steve Martin in! Thanks for everything you do keeping us informed Beau, glad to hear you're healing well, as far as Charity's go I can't recommend you raise funds for your local state chapter of the Special Olympics
As an alum. I am surprised to hear that your channel is working with my school. Well done.
Beau we are 180 degrees apart politically, but I like your videos. I make a point to look at both sides of a discussion, and you help provide to that.
Hey Beau, glad you are well. I got my mom to become a fan of yours. If ever I play a video of yours, she drops everything to listen in. She wanted to know since you have a French name, how well versed are you in any Franco culture? It's just a question, bonne journée. From bumbleF France😉
How lovely ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Good morning!!!
Your coffee cup. Sigh from Mrs. Beau. 😁
There are so many possibilities for “bad” traits. Over explaining or abandonment of coffee cups indicates to me a really healthy relationship where communication and caring results in the “big” things being resolved.
The kindness, respect and patience Beau shows all of us is not limited to this audience. I would really like to meet him face to face, shake his hand and give him a grandmother’s hug. ❤❤
Damn.. I wish I had enough property to plant 10 trees.. 😮
What a wonderful cause.
Yo, Beau! And all you internet people!
Ha...over-explaining things is a good communicating thing and smart women know how hard it is to be heard. I do it, although not because I'm smart about everything but because I had CHILDREN and MEN in my life. 😂🤣 I think just maybe we want the message to get through so we can avoid repeating it.
Hey, Beau. I've heard from other channels, that those unreleased videos getting out can be because the video is on a playlist. Hope this helps. Keep on keepin' on
When Beau says "send them in" referring to comments, where does he mean? Not just posting here right?
Also I watch the other channel but only catch the Roads now and then (I think it's a diff channel 😅), but I had not seen any mention of Beau's surgery. As someone who just had surgery & may be looking at another, it's always good to hear someone say it's over & I'm feeling good! Glad it went well!
It’s in the episode description, under “more” beneath the title.

Route 66 was the first federal highway system and has a lot of ties to local history along the way. It went from Chicago to Los Angeles. Google for more.
