I literally do not mind my own business. I hear screams and am not sure if they're friendly my face is out the curtains. I think I smell fire, I go outside to find it. Safety is no joke, it's everyone's business.
I agree, it’s like people can’t be bothered to contact professionals or get an idea what’s going on, I mean what’s that person going to do if you’re just making sure there’s no emergency, get really mad at you? Oh no, sound the alarm 🙄
Well, you can't really blame them tho. The banging could be anything. What if it's nothing serious? Then they'd probably say you should've minded your own business
The first story hits me hard. I was in a situation where I had collapsed, was NOT near a phone, and my neighbors heard me screaming for help and did NOTHING. It nearly cost me my life. I had to drag myself to the bedroom where my phone was - I had a massive staph infection and couldn't stand up/walk- and I passed out on the phone with 9 11. I spent the next 3 months in the hospital. I'm blessed that I didn't die. My neighbors admitted to my mom that they heard me screaming and hadn't seen me for days. It's so so so important to check on your neighbors, even reclusive people have daily habits! Checking on someone might make the difference between life and death for someone else.
I’m so sorry to hear that I had a friend who told me that she fell, and she was screaming in so much pain; while the neighbor was just looking at her doing nothing. Fortunately, other people heard her and took her to the hospital so she’s doing good. There are just people who are self centered, and don’t care about humanity or anyone else but themselves and that’s a shame. ☹️
My mom notice she hadn't seen a neighbor for 2 days called their daughter and she had fallen in bathroom and got stuck between toilet and counter. Glad my mom called and our neighbor survived
That's so awful. I'm sorry that happened to you. I would be more understanding in these type of incidents if your neighbor was always working on projects at home and they made a lot of noise, but if it's way outside the norm, why wouldn't you do something? Knock on the door or, if you don't feel comfortable going over there, call the police for a welfare check. If it's nothing, no harm done. But if someone is in need, how awful would it be to know you could have saved them?
As someone who works in a glass factory… I literally cannot fathom how these people may have felt. It’s HOT in there. Makes my heart hurt for everyone involved.
Such a sad story, life can be so ruthless. That poor man was barely getting himself out of a deep depression just to end up losing his life in such a terrible way. Rest In Peace .
Peenuses dangling down like a rain forest. Hundreds of dangling peenuses. Monkey runs and jumps off a cliff qand grabs a peenus! The monkey swings and jumps from peenus to peenus and goes across the whole forest off flaccid peenuses
So happy you brought back this series! I miss the Cool mysteries. The people who disappeared and then showed up with no explanation. The cool forest stories. Places where you shouldn’t go, survival stories all of it!A nice change from the all the murders and serial killers.
Dear John I wrote you a comment almost 2 years ago. I told you how my husband and I loved to listen to your stories together. He got sick and was in the hospital and your stories kept him happy while there until he died of malpractice. After listening to your stories helped me keep going and made the days a little better. Well its been 2.5 years since then and almost 2 years since I wrote you. I just wanted to tell you I still find great comfort in your stories here and on the podcast. I just wanted to say Thank you again. Things are still hard as I miss my Mark more than anything but I still listen almost daily to you and find that you make hard tasks easier to do just by providing some great entertainment. All the comments on the post I made really lifted me up at the time and I just really want you to know how much I appreciate you and your wonderful fans. I am so impressed by how big your platform has become and how generously you give back to the world. Thank you again and I am doing so much better since the last I wrote. You really did help me a lot and you will gave my gratitude always. Take care and hug your wife extra hard😊
I'm so sorry for your loss. My sweet momma passed away unexpectedly from malpractice. My poor momma, it wasn't her time to go. It was the stupid doctors fault, all I have to say. 💔😭🕊
The second story is horrific, and it's made so much worse when you look it up and see that most of the victims were children between the ages of 9-17.😢
@@mapofthesoultagme7143because kids should be a - protected by adults and b - have not lived long enough to understand the dangers and c - they didn't even get a chance to live their life and are innocent, duh. So bizzare when people ask something like that.
I’m torn between the the last two. On one hand being alone and drowning on human waste is just an awful way to go especially for such a good lady. But on the other, hanging on for dear life, watching your friend cook, falling again and then bursting into flames is just unimaginable.
#3-Man I feel so bad for Ronald. He was going through a dark and depressive time in his life and just when he was finally ready to move on, he had to suffer a horrifying end like that! #2-I can't even imagine how the father felt watching his son suffer a fate like that! My heart goes out to him and all the other family members of the deceased. People, please when you are told to not do something because it's dangerous, LISTEN! This is stuff you learn as children! #3-Oh God. Another truly horrifying death. I don't even know what else to say. Having to spend your final moments trapped in human waste where the last thing you smell and feel is human feces is something I would not wish on any pure good soul. None of these deaths are.
“This is stuff you learn as children!” Yes! And that’s the trouble - some people grow up and think ‘Those were rules made by adults for children, and I’m not a child under anyone else’s control anymore - I’m above that! Rules are patronising!’ Which of course totally misses the point of said rules.
Its so infuriating that people hear obviously distressed sounds like screaming but then decide "Oh it's not my business". That neighbor CHOSE to sit there, listen to Ronald's obvious cries for help and do NOTHING. That poor man would have survived if she had just done SOMETHING
What's so riveting about their own business anyway?? Ask any person what they're thinking about on any given moment and they usually grunt out some boring derp thing like "laundry"
Yeah for real! idk what kinda person can sit there, literally wait for this man to DIE and go completely silent, then finally call the cops!!?! That is extremely twisted.
you dont know what kind of man he was , if he screams alot , if hes agressive , if he quarrels very loudly with the ex girlfriend , most peoples if they dont hear help they think it off as someting else , like anger or possibly someting they do often
If someone truly wants to help victims of violent or sexual crimes then we need to begin to hold our city and county prosecutors accountable for allowing criminals to take lesser charges, and be on the streets within months, sometimes even days… What you’re trying to do is amazing, and something to be greatly appreciated!! Please keep this up! My sister and a couple of close friends are in that category and it’s great to see someone care
The problem is that too many judges and law enforcement are predators, and they give each other a "pass." We never find out about them until they have so many victims it can no longer be ignored...
The first story is very similar to the woman who got stuck in a closet while on vacation. She also broke a pipe to use as a tool but it turned out to be a water pipe. It ended very similarly with no one noticing until it went quiet.
the second story broke my heart into pieces for not only those people involved but the father who had to sit and watch his son fall to his horrible death…one of the worst stories i’ve heard in a while and i’m glad someone is talking about it. these things in history deserve to be heard and i’m glad such an amazing storyteller is willing to share❤️ Edit: idk why some of y’all gotta have an issue with what i said and how i feel sympathy for a dad who watched his son die on thanksgiving. i meant damn well what i said so keep your opinions about it to yourself because i could care less if you don’t feel sorry for them.
@Sage Nero i genuinely never said they didn’t have a part in what happened but imagine being that father watching your son die in front of your eyes. show some sympathy for god sake
Horrific stuff like that used to happen a lot. One of my great great grandmas was pregnant over 23 times. She had at least 3 miscarriages, 2 still births, 5 babies die before the age of 2, and a daughter who died of an illness at age 5 (the only child who died that my great grandma knew the name of.) Of the 13 children who survived to adulthood, she outlived 10 of them. A daughter who drowned in a lake at age 20, a son who got struck by lightning at 19, a son who deployed to Normandy at age 27 and was killed to friendly fire just a week after d-day, a son who got ran over by a tractor at age 23, a daughter who died in childbirth and so on. She was pregnant almost constantly from age 16 into her 30s and loved so so many babies and buried almost all of them. She outlived 3 of her own sons who died of old age! Life used to be really different.
@Sage Nero yes because letting your kid go to a game is a reason for their death. please get your head outta your ass bro. idc what you gotta say atp. why tf you here if you gonna victim blame? that’s literally so disgusting.
@@aawillma and this is something i completely understand, but to victim blame? it really doesn’t sit right with me no matter what time we in. it’s absolutely disgusting and disrespectful. i genuinely appreciate you putting your input in a respectful way because nobody deserves that type of death no matter how it happened.
The fact that mr ballen not only tells the best storys on youtube but also that he donates his own hard earned money on people in dire need and promotes others to do so is the reason why i watch his videos . First i was here for entertainment purposes but overtime it grow much more than that i know that our views help support his dreams on helping others in need . Its a win win for me
Such a great thing you're doing, helping all these families, schools, and everyone else needing help with these donations. I'm so happy to be standing behind you, your channels, and your charity. Because I know you're 100% genuine and really do give 100% of all the donations and money out of your own pocket back to these people who so badly need it in these times of sorrow. Keep doing good Mr. Ballen.
So many people don’t realize just how much charity donations go to overhead and in many cases misuse of funds. Huge respect to Mr.Ballen for being up front as well donating 100%. That’s impressive. A great way to have a direct impact and know where your money is going. Thank you.
I’ve been a subscriber of yours for a very long time, and watching you grow from a small true crime storyteller to a charity organizer has got to be one of the most amazing things I’ve seen. You’re an inspiration and we’re all very grateful to you for everything you’ve done! Have a good day Mr. Ballen.
Hello, I am always amazed to see how an honorable and good hearted person you are! Your stories are captivating and very interesting to listen to. I do thousands of hours of volunteering a year to help people in need (I am a medical first responder), but unfortunately, that doesn't bring any money. So to see you raise all this money to help victims, it really warms my heart! Thank you for being you. Sylvie (from Canada)
It's beautiful how by a man covering some of the most tragic deaths that have ever happened, his viewers then pour donations and aid to people who truly need it. Mr.Ballen and his community are wonderful.
I remember another story that you did about a lady getting trapped in a closet and breaking a cold water pipe. She was just a couple strikes away from getting through the wall, too. That would have to be one of the worst ways to go out, man. So sad.
It's pretty hard to imagine that a grown man wasn't able to break through a crappy interior door with a pipe. Or even an interior wall.. I used to do alot of framing and honestly i can't imagine how shit like that could happen.
Not as bad as the guy who got his arm trapped in his furnace. He had to cut his own arm off because nobody found him for days. He survived losing much blood and an arm. The pain of severing through his nerves, muscle and bone with a dull instrument and slippery bloody hands in the dark is horrific. His story is part of the 'I Survived' series on A&E.
Shout out to everybody who donated to the sky diving instructor, I’m sure he’s extremely grateful for such an amazing community. Thank you everyone and Mr Ballen as well for organizing this foundation, you’re doing Gods work. I’m a victim of a violent crime so this foundation hits home for me and everything it stands for. God bless you all 🙏❤
This is absolutely wonderful. I have been following you for years and I love that you support members of the community that need help. You are a real treasure and we are all lucky to have you. So nice that we are given the opportunity to be able to give back. Cheers!
So I've been around since you started here.. I can't even imagine how shocked you still are that this hobby became a full career and company along with an entire charity organization where you're able to help so many people!♡ that's just incredible! I don't know of anyone else that became successful here that decided to start a huge organization to help others without receiving any profit.. like that's unheard of! And I'm proud to be apart of that!♡
These were all very sad and disturbing. I once rang an ambulance because I heard a neighbour making distressed sounds that went on and on and I couldn't get any answer. She finally answered the door to the paramedics. I didn't see her for several days, but she then came to thank me and explained that she'd been having a mental health crisis. It's better to get involved and be wrong, than do nothing I think, but that's always easy to say with hindsight.
You are a great man. Went through hell and then became an angel of love and support! I also took some shrapnel, long story along with a 50 foot fall, and can’t work and barely get around with a cane, but I promise when I get my benefits ( got an attorney this time) some money will be sent to you as well as a few others who have been through life changing events to help as much as I can, just so many people, but they need help!
She sounds amazing and I can't help but wonder if she did not fall. What political leader wants to follow her example of getting down and dirty with the commoners? She was making their power look bad
@@luvyatubers surely she bent over or under the railing to get the reading. Surely the plant had a two person rule to be around the vats, so if one takes a spill the other gets help. Surely it was a conspiracy, the killers clearly followed her to the plant and snuck up on her just as the right moment without making any sound. Or unfortunately bad things happen to good people.
That’s so amazing that much money was raised for Dave, and within a week! It’s also so touching that the Mr Ballen foundation gives 100% of the profits away. To think you were able to do all this from being a great storyteller (and obviously a fair businessman). You’re truly doing wonderful things John. Thank you for everything you do.
Well honestly if you were a rich guy asking for donations and then keeping some of the money for yourself... id have some serious questions!! But good on him, its how all charities should operate.
Yes this man is a living legend, I love how genuinely kind and caring that he is, truly a wonderful person and a huge role model we should all strive to be like!! @Mr.Ballen, you are the man, keep up the awesome/ amazing work!!
I love and missed this series! Really appreciate having not just 1 but 3 stories like we used to. I'd heard of the 2nd one, but as always, your storytelling and perspective made it much more engaging. So sad for all of the people killed or burned in that incident, but I especially feel bad for #1 and #3; such horrible and lonely ways to die. Thank you for sharing, and I do feel like it honors their memories to do so. Also a good lesson to us all to notify police immediately if we hear unusual noises from a neighbor's place!!
@@georgiypotulov23 It does seem weird, but things do happen...especially if he was shifting something, which caused the outer wardrobe to shift, assuming it was unbalanced. I tried looking the case up and wasn't able to find many details (in fact most sources were even more muddled). I hope the police did actually investigate thoroughly, just in case it was foul play.
I have only watched the first one and I have no idea what can be worse that that. Skin coming off while trapped and dying slowly? I feel so bad for him. Ok now I’ve watched the second one. How can it get worse than being literally on fire Ok they all suck
@@Just_A_Transperson the first and last one are tied for me because the first one is way more prolonged Imagine knowing you’ll die, being in a closet hungry with your own human waste and being constantly cold and wet and having your skin peel off for days But drowning in human waste??? I can’t decide which way I would rather go…
I’ve heard the 2nd story before, but the way you told it is beyond compare. You make the story more personal as you present it from a victim’s POV & make us feel like we’re in the story, experiencing everything they felt. It’s incredible! Thank you, Mr. Ballen! 😊
@@maryeckel9682 That’s where I heard it too. Fascinating Horror does focus more on facts & provided additional details, but I like Ballen’s approach. It felt more human & made you feel for those boys, the father, & the other victims. They all have a story & thankfully, we have people like Ballen to share some of them.😊
@@b-dub6865 I saw the FH video before this one as well... and even if there were more details in that video, I 100% learned/absorbed more from MrBallen's video due to how captivated I was in his storytelling. Whereas the monotonous voice of FH narrator and way he delivers it more like a lecture than a story causes me to kinda space out at parts.
I guess I am the odd person out as usual. I love how FH highlights the points of failure that lead to the tragedies. How regulations, rules, common sense and sound practices combine for our safety. Hopefully before not _after_ lives are lost. Love knows how often I fail in one area (edit) or another, as most of us do. I think it's a healthier approach than just blaming the people who suffered the consequences.
@@ivechang6720 Oh, I agree with you! I still love FH & have been a fan since he first started. He does his homework & he’s so thorough & provides a complete layout of the incident. I was just saying how much I appreciate Ballen’s approach to this story. It’s different. Altho, I wish FH would expand his storytelling topics like in the beginning. Lately, his stories have been similar - a catastrophic fire & significant loss of life due to poor design, a structure/bridge collapse due to poor design, etc. Sometimes it feels like it should be called Poor Design Horror. Ha. Regardless, I still tune in every Tuesday.😊
You are the only person i've ever witnessed on TH-cam to receive nothing but love and adoration in the comment section. I've been watching you for years now and I've never once read a bad comment. Also, you are still an american hero to this day for raising all the money you do to help people. You deserve all the success coming your way in the near future and i'm sure we'll see you on the tv screen one day soon if that's something that interests you.
The last story was such a shame. Such a good person, she didn't deserve to die in such a humiliating way. I hope she continues to be an inspiration to her community.
I donated to Dave because I was told his story. It’s more personable to be able to connect to someone, know their story, and then feel the need to donate. There are so many charities and organizations that constantly have their hands out, that it gets overwhelming. I feel like you should do more interesting stories on people like him, because it’s just human nature to want to know exactly where your donation is going and the good it is doing.
Right. I love that he gives updates of how much and I bet being the one to be able to tell these people that they haven't been forgotten after so long and helping them out is the greatest reward of all. Truly a lot of good he does the world just through storytelling. I love it.
Hey, Mr. Ballen! I just wanted to say that you are very inspirational and I love your content. Yes, the stories frighten me, but in some ways, it's amazing how calm and animated you are with these stories, and you inspired me to write and continue my horror story on Wattpad and Inkitt. I have even thought of making my own channel with horror true stories. My mom introduced your channel to me almost a year ago, and ever since then, I've been HOOKED with these types of stories. Thank you for posting great content and not being fictional and fake like some other story tellers.
@@tiggyvolts9076 I'm an aspiring author, but I am making a book. I also used to write fanfiction, and it can be hard to transition between a fanfic and an original story. I suggest finding inspiration from the fandom you typically write about and then make your own characters, settings, and plot. It's okay to gain inspo from a fandom as long as you aren't plagiarizing. For example, my book is a psychological thriller, but I gained inspo from Kubrik's "The Shining" movie because of the story writing for the ghosts and the immense detail used for the lore.
Just listening the glass factory incident left me traumatised. I can't even imagine how it was for the victims, the witnesses and specially the dad watching his own son falling on the flare pit...
I tried googling it because it scared me so much and I can’t find anything that actually says a guy named Thomas fell onto the furnace in-front of his dad. The disaster def happened but Mr. Ballen/ his team did a lot of speculation. 😅
@@CodyWhitlock There was 2 victims named Thomas. Thomas Pedler age 28; he lived on Stevenson St., and Thomas J. Rippon age 24; who lived on Haight St. And there are 2 Charles, one of them was with Thomas Pedler. Charles McMahon age 12; lived on Post St., and Charles Monahan age 31; who lived on Greenwich St. This was in the Stanford Magazine.
I just have to say you are such a positive influence in the TH-cam community! The fact that you use the platform and the millions of followers you've built up to do some good for those in need is incredible....you're truly an amazing individual and an incredible human being. Thank you for all you do and keep spreading the positivity, bc the world needs it
This is facts. The way he not only told the story of the guy who saved that woman’s life from the plane jumping but also include his Current condition and how we could contribute was nothing short of a Class Act especially since he was one of the first to donate. Class act indeed.
seconded! creators like Mr B and Markiplier who refuse to partake in drama and other crap and just stick to what they care about need to TAKE OVER THE PLATFORM!
He was a Seal, and every Seal I have ever known have always been dedicated to helping others. There is something special about those who can do that, and they never stop working to protect others. (yes there are exceptions but they are rare.)
I'm a 62 year old from England, and I would just like to say what a fantastic story telller you are. You put such effort into your stories. I love watching them. Maybe you should start writing books. It's great to see that you have made success with your TH-cam and Podcasts. At least you have created your own unique ideas and put them out there. I love your facial expressions, you're a treasure. Keep up the good work.
I’ve been watching Mr Ballen since before he hit 1M and he’s the first TH-camr I’ve ever consistently watched. It’s so amazing that he uses his platform to help people and make a difference, the world needs more people like him. This is such a lovely community to be apart of, thank you for all you do. ❤
I just have to say, you’re super Amazing for all that you’re doing to give back to different communities, families, and yet finding time to keep up with all your “Mr. Ballen Fans.” Continuously a true inspiration and hero. ❤ thank you for sharing yourself and your stories with us. 😊❤
Poor Ronald .. what a horrific way to die! I can’t imagine what he must have been thinking and feeling for a week straight in that little closet :( it sucks that the neighbor and police didn’t get there in time to save him
Aw thank you for the update on Dave's GoFundMe ;A; and for the donations to the cause for helping victims of violent crime. It's an incredible thing to do for people who have lost those they love in some of the worst ways imaginable. I wish more TrueCrime channels did things like that.
100% of proceeds from a foundation is INSANE! I stopped giving to several foundations due to that percentage. When I get back to a stable place monetarily you will start getting checks. You're an amazing man, your content is epic, and your heart is huge. None of that encompasses your military service and hero status in my heart. Thank you for being such an inspiration. The world would be a worse place had you joined the 22. God bless, be safe.
The first story reminds me of another story you told once about an older woman who accidentally got locked in a utility closet in her home and couldn't find her way out and died. She had tried breaking through the wall twice, but unluckily picked spots with something on the other side and couldn't get through.
yes I remembered that story too, the exact same thing happened to her when she broke off a pipe to use as a tool, but both people ended up dying of exposure from the cold water trapped in a pitch black closet. now one of my fears is to be trapped like that somewhere in my house
The Mr. Ballen Foundation is amazing to donate 100 percent of donations. Absolutely amazing, thank you for being someone who actually truly cares. You guys are amazing. Thank you John and the Ballen crew
Wow, thank god for your foundation! It warms my heart to see people rally around people who truly need it, and the fact that 100% of the profits go straight to these people in need is phenomenal! I will join this cause today, thank you for your kindness!❤
That was awesome hearing places you can't go and people who went anyway. Please bring back classic style videos? Standalones are good, but the top 3s never disappoint
Wow..the first story is exactly what happened to the poor lady who went to her vacation house that her and her ex husband had shared. I believe she was going one last time before they sold it and could divide the money for the property and was initially supposed to go with some friends but they had all backed out on her, so she went alont and she got locked in the water closet. This same thing happened to her, which I also learned on your channel so thank you. MAN.....this kind of crazy stuff TERRIFIES ME!!
We should always check the circumstances of our physical surroundings, like whether a door handle of a confined space is in good working order etc, at least that is something I'm more likely to think about because of watching Mr Ballen.
What horrible deaths these people suffered. MrBallen you are masterful and so humble. I’m proud that we helped Dave so much! I’m going now to donate to your wonderful foundation. You are the king of not only storytelling but helping others. Bravo! ❤😊
I'm so very proud of you, John. Not just for your awesome success, which is well deserved but also for The Mr. Ballen Foundation, The Honor Them Society and all the good you've done to help those in need. Just phenomenal. When you say you really appreciate our support, I believe you. I wish you nothing but the best in the future.
I am so glad to hear that Dave received funding to help him. I will go donate to the other charity you have suggested. Thank you! As a disabled person I don't have the ability to help in many things but I can help in small amounts. Thank you for the opportunity to give to others.
Mr.Ballen... as a survivor of violent crimes & as a long-time subscriber, I'm truly touched & greatful for men like you. I'll support anything you do - I'm going to donate what I can right after posting this. Tears came to my eyes because what you are doing is helping change lives. Words can't express how much you & your team's generosity means to the world. You're awesome & I'm very proud of you! Thank you for being such a light 🖤
I can relate, glad you made it, I still suffer from what happened to me, even tho it was years ago, I don't know if the charity covers Ireland, but I donated anyway.
@LoboDeSade thank you, I'm glad you made it as well. I suppose we'll always be affected by it because we'll never forget, but I've found decent ways to cope & I'm grateful for kind, compassionate people. I hope there's a way you find some kind of peace 🖤 please, stay strong :)
Not sure what's going on... How do you mean he's saving lives? Sure, his stories are entertaining, but I'm not at all on the same page as your emotional comment. Also not meaning to be rude. Edit: Finished video. I understand now. Patience is a virtue, they say...
The first story reminded me of a terrible story that happened in Israel a few years ago and was all over the news. During several days of heavy rain, a neighbor advised a young couple who lived in the building to remove their car from the parking lot under the building. Because of the heavy rain, some cars were flooded, so they rushed to the elevator. Once the elevator reached the underground level of the car park, flooding caused the elevator to become stuck. They quickly called 911 to ask for help, saying they were stuck in a dark elevator with heavy rain coming in. Unfortunately, there were too many calls that day due to a lot of flooding, and the dispatcher didn't realize the gravity of the situation. They both drowned.
I'm so glad we're getting some of our old story format back I missed these videos....thank you Mr ballen and family for your charity work y'all are real heros I hope our community can help these victims live a better life!!!god bless you all
Im 23 and in the navy, your stories keep me going, i couldnt imagine seal training not to mention your job duties and active deployment, thank you for everything you do and for the time and effort you put into all of your videos. “Salute”
I was just telling my mom the story about the mayor the other night!! She was born in the late 1950s and has lived an hour or so away for her entire life. She had never heard of this story before. Such an incredibly sad and horrific way to go. I've only ever heard one blurb about her death before so thank you for retelling Monica's story in a way that celebrates the person she was.
I got so horrified about the events in Story 2. I had heard of the event before on Fascinating Horror's channel, but I must have forgotten or slept through that last part. I thought I knew the story, but I didn't. Well done, MrBallen.
The second story might be the most terrifying thing I've ever heard. Especially for Thomas. Knowing he's hanging over that thing that just instantly burnt up and contorted his friend, feeling your muscles giving and your hands slipping, God I can't even imagine. The anticipation would be just as horrible as the death itself. Edit: idk actually story 3 is a fcking doozy if I've ever heard one.. I feel so bad for that woman.

I have watched every video I think you have ever posted. I am an employee at MSU (Michigan State University) where there was just a mass shooting last week. I want you to know that I listen to your channel EVERY week while I do my job. I am so happy for all the acclaim you have received. You make great content. I really appreciate you donating to victims of violence. I never have been so close to a tragedy before and I just had to say thank you.
Just a random dude here, that has lived through a lot of trauma. I’m sorry. I’m praying you and all involved can heal. I hope justice is swiftly served, and I hope we find a way to better protect our children and teachers. Gods blessings from Washington
I'm happy you're OK. Stay vigilante, but try not to let this tragedy make you so vigilant that you're isolating yourself. If you feel anxious, please tell your doctor. The staff and students are in my prayers.
I like how you post like podcast like videos so I don’t need to pay full attention but can still listen to your videos, good job keep the good videos up!
I mean..I’m as big a fan of Mr. Ballen as anyone…But that doesn’t mean that we actually KNOW him or whether his multitude of accomplishments as a content creator, fundraising connoisseur, & navy seal surmount to being a good person..(though, I’m sure he definitely is!)
Ronald's story sounds so similar to another story you've covered where a lady got trapped inside a closet, where she then used a pipe to try to get out but the pipe led to a water source. it's such a bizarre and tragic way to go that it's insane that it has happened twice. or even more? i feel like i have to strap my phone to my thigh or something to prevent this from ever happening to me lol
As soon as he said the guy got trapped in the closet and could only stand I thought the same thing. Then he said Ronald reached for a pipe and I thought I was having some deja vu or something
That lady's name was Isherwood & it happened in a vacation bungalow she owned. Very sad.....scares me from traveling alone, where no one would be coming to check on me.....
These are all such horrific ways to die is an understatement. I covered my mouth in shock as I heard each one. You never know when a freak accident could happen. I'm going through a hard time and hearing that reminds me of how it could be worse and I feel grateful for my life. Thanks for the reminder of how precious life is.
Good God… the Ronald story shows why we need community so much. Humans are not meant to be alone. Know your neighbors. Make sure you know them and they know you. It’s so important. Growing up our neighbors came to our aid so many times and vise versa. I know for a fact if my next door neighbors hear me or my husband or children banging and screaming they would come help. One time my 6 year old son was playing outside, I yelled his name out the door to tell him lunch was ready. He didn’t come quickly so I yelled again like 30 seconds later. Not even a scream or frightened yell, just his name. My neighbor 3 houses down came outside basically running. He yelled to me “where’s Jack?!” Then he came out of the other neighbors yard. It was so comforting to know others care. All this takes is minimum conversation every couple of weeks to build these bonds. So important and this is how people have strived for so long. Our phones and mental health issues and most selfishness have eroded this from society now.
So glad you brought back this series! It's important to stay out of places you have no place being and saying something when you heard or see something odd!
It’s amazing to see how far this channel has come along. I joined on the 36th episode of this channel and I’m so happy to be apart of the people who are giving this channel the attention it deserves. You’re doing amazing work and you’ve helped us all get through tough times, especially during COVID lockdowns. Thank you so much to the Ballen family for all your hard work
It makes me think there's still hope for humanity when I see people like mr.ballen using their position on social media not only to deliver a form of entertainment but decide to take advantage of any opportunity to help those who need it most ! He's my favorite TH-camr for a reason ! Keep it up ! We need more people like to you 💜
There's tons of hope for humanity. People are, by and large, good-hearted and care about others. We're just so inundated with negativity, be it on the news or social media, that we can start to believe that the whole world is nothing but a cesspool of awfulness. Don't believe it. Humans beings are wonderful, amazing creatures (with a few exceptions). 🙃
I cry whenever you speak about the MRr Ballen Foundation. Seriously, what you guys do is truly good and pure. I hope yur actions and efforts spread the spirit of giving and community. I am literally at work BALLEN my eyes out
The last story was just sad... Based on the story she seemed like a nice lady and a very dedicated mayor, but died in a horrible way covered in human waste.. Also the story about a sports event, I cannot imagine how scared those people who were left alive for a moment just to see how they'll die and the despair of a father who watched his son cling unto life and die..
Honestly she seems like a populist busybody who was more interested in putting on a show than doing her own job. It is one thing doing this on the campaign trail but every day on the job? It's a bad way to go but she was clearly not a good faith administrator
I can't help but reiterate the selfless and heroic story about Dave to my family and they're really moved by his acts. I'm glad I shared the story because earlier today, we as a family donated $423 which is around 35k rupees in Indian currency. Dave deserves an Award for Heroism.
Mr Ballen, you’re a very special person. I appreciate your storytelling, and your philanthropy is inspiring! You’re a very respectful man, and that’s a rare thing
The first story reminds me of the one you told about that poor lady who accidentally went into the airing cupboard in her little holiday bungalow and couldn't get out. Mary, I think her name was. Can't even begin to imagine the fright her and Ronald felt while they were trapped. Carried on fighting til the very end. So sad.
I love the "places you can't go" video theme so much, and I'm so happy to see you do one of these again after so long!! Thank you for another set of horrifyingly entertaining stories that will haunt my nightmares!! You are absolutely the best, and I can't get enough of the strange, dark, and mysterious told in story format!! 💗
Yeah, it's to bad if you follow Plainly Difficult, Fascinating Horror, and Scary Interesting, you've already seen all 3 of these stories before. I watch Mr. Ballen for something new.
For the second story, I actually did glass working and can confirm that opening the door to the glass furnace was the worst part. Even from a distance it was so hot and so bright that I couldn't look at it without pain. Even though i was only exposed to the heat at a distance for a few seconds, it was enough for my arm hair to just be gone. I can't imagine actually landing on top of thar furnace
How hot does it get? I use a heat treating oven and it gets up to 2100 f during operation and when I open the door to that it’s intense and feels like I get an instant sunburn. Safe to say, not good for the eyes or skin 😂
I guess I actually have a weird question for you!How does the shut down process work in those places? Does it take forever to cool down? I was just wondering cause the workers were telling them to get off the roof and they didn’t listen; if they shut down the plant would it have made a difference?
@@Picklegurl420 I'm not sure how hot a camp fire gets, but it isn't near as hot as these furnaces. I've set rocks close to a camp fire for a few hours, then carefully wrapped them in a blanket, and put them in a tent, next to my sleeping bag. It warms the tent, and keeps me warm while I sleep. So the bricks around those furnaces must be blazing hot, if they can catch a person on fire. And it would take hours to days for them to cool enough to be handled. My guess is, the bodies that they did recover that day, probably jumped to their deaths off the platform on the furnace. The ones who didn't jump were probably never recovered.
@@Picklegurl420 shut down procedure? an industrial oven that size and temperature takes days to cool down and costs the businness a LOT of money, then more days to heat it back up. these ovens are literally meant to never (almost) shut down, let alone shut down quickly
You are so humble and a TH-camr I genuinely believe deserves this fame. I recommend you to friends. You’re really a selfless TH-camr and you deserve the fame and following you have. You don’t need any flashy intros, obnoxious editing- nothing like that. And that’s what makes you so great. The simplicity of your videos with the captive storytelling. I find myself so consumed in every video you make. Please never change. What you’re doing is amazing. Your videos have helped me through dark times. They’ve helped me focus on something else other than my current troubling situations in life. I’ve been a fan since early 2021. You’re an amazing person. Your kids are so lucky to have you as a father as well. Keep it up 😊
Love that you brought back this series. Feels nostalgic of the time we used to get 3 to 5 uploads weekly. Whao! You've come a long way John... Really proud of you.
The temperature on the glass furnace surface isn't easy for most people to think of. I built a gas forge for blacksmithing and it "only" gets up to about 2900 degrees when running full blast. I've had my hand too close to the mouth of it and it's a burn enough to send chills throughout my body. Mind bogglingly hot.
I’m a Sunsmither, basically I smith a variety of structures that can channel natural heat such as Volcanoes. Try multiplying that 3x and you see what I have to deal with every day. Nothings hotter than my job.
Glad to hear about Dave and love to hear that your foundation gives 100% of donations to those in need. Thank you for being a part of the TH-cam community that uses social media as a positive tool to help others ❤️
It’s crazy that people decide to “mind their business” at the absolute wrong time! But when a little girl is selling lemonade in her driveway with out a permit, a SWAT team gets called. 🤦🏽♀️
Not only do I totally enjoy your show in fact it's the only show in this genre I watch I totally respect you Mr. Ballen after hearing your story about when you were a Navy Seal and got wounded...thank you for your service Sir...
I'm excited the 3 stories are back! Also, I just wanted to say how amazing it is that you went from creating a TH-cam channel just to tell strange, dark, and mysterious stories to now creating a foundation that actually gives back to the victims of these stories. Definitely worth donating!
These stories were so sad. I kept saying to myself this won't end well. How they all died is just so sad and horrible. On a lighter note I was so happy and excited about how much was raised for Dave. What he did for his student is something beyond what we can imagine. I am so happy for that. God bless Dave, Mrballen and everyone who made this happen.
It also reiterates the notion if you hear/see something, SAY SOMETHING. Don't mind your own business or think you're overdramatic. It could literally save someone's life. I always call when I think someone needs help or something seems off. I would want the same done for me. Also, when someone tells you not to do something bc it's dangerous and off limits, listen.
@@lunaballuna Very true. If only the neighbour spoke up on time, the man trapped in his home would still be here. Also the people who stayed on the roof of the factory, if only they listened to the workers who said it wasn't safe, that whole tragedy would have been averted. They wouldn't have ended up as characters in Mrballen's stories.
What I got out of todays episode is that you and your team are doing great work and providing the definition of humanity to those of the human race that need it. Well done. You’ve already given your country your service through defending it beyond its borders, now by assistance within. Awesome.
It always baffles me how many people hear screams and bangs but never report it to the police because they’re “minding their own business”
Thats one of the few things i would not mind my business for
The neighbor could have saved his life! That’s heartbreaking
I had a similar experience. I ran out of tp and had to shit-shuffle over to the shower because no one else was there to bring me another roll.
An almost-deadly staph infection, and still morbidly obese. Holy shit, you yankis really like your Cheetos, huh?
As someone who works in a glass factory… I literally cannot fathom how these people may have felt. It’s HOT in there. Makes my heart hurt for everyone involved.
I can only hope they didn't suffer for too long cuz in such situations, every second counts

Dear John
I wrote you a comment almost 2 years ago.

@Jason Voorhees Let's see how hilarious your death would be.
Sad but well said...
yeah #2 had me fucking horrified, visualizing that was a nightmare
Where's #1?
@@encycl07pedia- Sorry. The bottom one was meant to be #1.

@@georgiypotulov23 exactly! Bingo
@@georgiypotulov23 It does seem weird, but things do happen...especially if he was shifting something, which caused the outer wardrobe to shift, assuming it was unbalanced. You really are a born storyteller. Love how you channel the strange, dark and mysterious.
I got goosebumps when he said 100% goes to the people they help. Way to go!
Thank you to all those who donated.

This was really well arranged because each story had me saying “no, THIS is the worst way to die”

I have only watched the first one and I have no idea what can be worse that that. Skin coming off while trapped and dying slowly? I feel so bad for him.
Ok now I’ve watched the second one. How can it get worse than being literally on fire
Ok they all suck
@@Just_A_Transperson the first and last one are tied for me because the first one is way more prolonged

But drowning in human waste??? I can’t decide which way I would rather go…
almost threw up
I’ve heard the 2nd story before, but the way you told it is beyond compare. You make the story more personal as you present it from a victim’s POV & make us feel like we’re in the story, experiencing everything they felt. It’s incredible! Thank you, Mr. Ballen! 😊
I heard it on Fascinating Horror, but his approach is more on the details of what happened, though he does honor the victims.

I feel like you should do more interesting stories on people like him, because it’s just human nature to want to know exactly where your donation is going and the good it is doing.

Hey, Mr.
You're a writer? That's so cool! I find it hard to come up with original stuff so I'm still doing fanfiction lmao. How do you do it?
@@tiggyvolts9076 I'm an aspiring author, but I am making a book. I also used to write fanfiction, and it can be hard to transition between a fanfic and an original story. I suggest finding inspiration from the fandom you typically write about and then make your own characters, settings, and plot. It's okay to gain inspo from a fandom as long as you aren't plagiarizing. For example, my book is a psychological thriller, but I gained inspo from Kubrik's "The Shining" movie because of the story writing for the ghosts and the immense detail used for the lore.

They quickly called 911 to ask for help, saying they were stuck in a dark elevator with heavy rain coming in.
Thank you! Knew that one sounded really familiar but couldn't remember if it was via MrBallen or somewhere else I heard it.
When I heard about the “Flooded bungalow with scraping noises,” I immediately thought this was a reupload of that story.

Totally agree with you!

I knew someone who worked in factories like those (he retired)
He compared it to getting close to The Sun

Keep it up
😊
@@frequencyprovision4195 Ok that’s not a flex sir.. calm down
@@frequencyprovision4195 Stripping is hotter bro.
Yall are makin me sweat...
@@uss-dh7909 I'll make you sweet
Thank you Mr Ballen i enjoy hearing your stories ❤🎉😅
Glad to hear about Dave and love to hear that your foundation gives 100% of donations to those in need. Thank you for being a part of the TH-cam community that uses social media as a positive tool to help others ❤️
It’s crazy that people decide to “mind their business” at the absolute wrong time! But when a little girl is selling lemonade in her driveway with out a permit, a SWAT team gets called. 🤦🏽♀️
Bad lemonade should be a crime.
Stop exaggerating. ONE random woman had an issue w the girl selling lemonade. That's literally ONE incident.
You sound ridiculous.
@@trawlins396 It's more common than you think.
@@trawlins396 what are you referring to?
I love that Mr Ballen is calling to action for donations to help good people. Literally a hero and a man’s man amongst true men.
@Deng Nicca thats personal. point is you can donate and it does go to somewhere good.
@Deng Nicca My donation budget this month went to Doctors Without Borders and a local homeless assistance group.
Things are rough.😕
Awesome.
I was so bored and stressed out at work, but I watched your videos and enjoyed my evening.
