@@rayromanfilms this was shot in 8k or was it in 4k ...? Also may i ask on canon c log did you use the eos original or neutral profile on color matrix?:) thanks:)
Did you use your FREEFLY Movi with this? The pans are super smooth. I own an RS2 Gimbal and I'm not sure I could get those movements you get. I could see them maybe being all tripod pans (long lost art since the arrival of gimbals though). With that being said, amazing film. Everything about this highlight film was on point.
@@rayromanfilms I use the RS2 and I also attach the battery grip to a Benro carbon fiber monopod with feet expansion. I then attach Tilta T grips onto the RS2 giving me super smooth control. It allows me to sit it down tripod style and keep the weight off my body shoulders, while giving me super smooth pans. Maybe a good medium for you?
Hey @Ray Roman great to see you posting again. I hope all is well with you. As always, this film looks amazing. I see you’re beefing up your sound design skills. Great job.
So, the ONLY wedding I’ve done that looks remotely this good, I spent time with the couple picking the proper venue, proper lighting, time of day and position of the wedding events. Oh and I had 5 really good cam ops with me. You can’t be doing THIS as a mere event videographer. Anyway, I’d love to know how many cams you used, what video format and post process. I just got my R5 and am building it it up. I’m starting from scratch building an RF shooting workflow. I used to be Sony.
Man, I wish I would have had that luxury lol. I shot it with my wife w/ my son assisting. I'd never been to the wedding site until I showed up an hour before the ceremony. However, I am extremely fast at recognizing angles, using light and controlling backgrounds to my advantage. It's more about efficiency than it is having too many shooters that will give you mostly garbage shots. Come up with a plan quickly and make sure your team will execute. It was my first wedding with the R5. No rig. Just the camera on a monopod and tripod. Gimbal shots were 1DX Mark II on a MoVi M10.
@@rayromanfilms - Great. Based on what you have described I love your shooting philosophy. Seeing the light and understanding where the great shot is at. I'm convinced the R5 can be AMAZING as long as you are disciplined with it and shoot it like a film camera instead of a digital camera with unlimited hard drive space.
OK I have to make a video reaction to this. Holy crap. That ending transition was like amazing!! And Ray also replies to every comment. You sir are a legend idc what anyone says.
Amazing and brilliant result as always Ray! Also great opportunity to see different color look from 1DX to R5, in comparison to your past productions. The result is at same level if not better, but would be curious about how you managed with the R5 overheating issues on a full wedding day, sounds like a feat to me!
Ray, i really love your work and have signed up for your masterclass. I have a question...is there a particular reason you do not shoot raw or log for wedding videos?
Thank you so much Dominic! I actually shot most of this Vegas film in 8K RAW log on the Canon R5. I've been shooting log for every wedding for the past year or so.
How did you get permission to use this song? Or did you not care about the copyright? LOL as someone who has been filming weddings for 10+ years now, I use royalty free audio now from 3rd parties...just curious to why you chose copyrighted music? I know it's super expensive to get permission. You also risk the chance of them muting your audio and screwing your whole production up. This hurts a lot if a few months down the road they decide to mute your audio.
I never use music without permission. Your comment is completely ignorant of the facts. You should worry more about improving your work and less about how I get my music. Good luck.
@@rayromanfilms it was a honest question, which you never answered. How did you get permission? Back in the day I used to use copyrighted songs and post I do not own the copyright and post under my personal pages...even on those i have had audio removed from those sources. I think people neglect how important the right audio is when it comes to video production in general (not just weddings). I used to have more freedom back before TH-cam, Facebook, etc changed their policies (almost every Wedding videographer I knew back then were using modern music). About 2-3 years ago I had to start using 3rd parties like Soundstripe to avoid that, but really want to use copyrighted music like you used. So, yes, this is just as important as any aspect of a wedding video so my question was a serious one - how did you get permission to use that bit of audio? You don't have to respond with an answer, I am sorry if my comment came off as being rude but that was not my intention. Your work is amazing and the audio completely made this video.
Your production is always on point. However, I don’t feel the video/vibe conveys what a couple would like to feel/remember on their wedding day; unless obviously, the couple specifically requested a music video style video. Regardless great production and cinematography. Keep up the great work. I’ve been an admirer for years.
Jason Chavez I’d think twice before commenting on something like that. Just because your clients don’t want a film like this doesn’t mean any clients don’t. You’re commenting on someone’s video that’s at the top of their industry.
This is possibly the dumbest comment I've ever read. Couples book specific vendors because they like their style and approach to storytelling. One size doesn't fit all.

Hello! For wedding video, which is better than the Canon R5 VS Canon C200?
They're both producing the same kind of RAW. Advantage for 120fps and 8K RAW goes to the R5. Advantage of filming non-stop RAW goes to the C200.
This is incredible! What internal settings did you use, if you don't mind me asking? Picture style? C-Log? Etc. Amazing job!
