I remember the Mac & Me poster being up at my local theater. I feel like it was playing for a weirdly long time, because I went to several movies that year, and the poster was still up. But I never went to see it. Sometimes movies would sit in the theater for a long time back in the 80s though. I've had some luck with local used book stores, but there aren't very many in my area, and fewer that have any game stuff at all. The closest one to where I live now that I know has a game section is about a 90 minute drive from where I live...and I don't have a car. So we usually only hit it up when we rent a car for a road trip or what have you. They did just open a Barnes & Noble, after a 10 year absence from the city. I've found some fantastic deals there in the past, but haven't shopped at one in years. I know B&N is doing better since they got bought out and taken private. No shock there, as these days, companies with stockholders are just being bled dry and sold for parts (see: Red Lobster, Sears, etc.). I really need to hit up my local shop's yearly auction. They just hold it at a bad time for me. I'm almost always super busy the weekend that it happens, so I have yet to make it. At this point, since I'm trying to downsize my collection anyway, and I have enough material to game for years, if not decades, AND I can't seem to get a group together at all, AND the economy looks like it's about to collapse, I'll probably just save my pennies and hold on to my absolute favorite stuff. I want to help keep good publishers going, but I just might not be able to do that for a while.
The only DC comics I was ever interested in was their Dark Horse imprint: more interesting range of tone and themes than the usual plot armored superhero fare. Great stuff Jeff!
Had DC heroes back in the day, first and second ed, I don't think we got it to the table. The second ed GM screen sucked. Who thought big rainbow colored DC logos was a good idea?
Speaking of selling games....we should do an online swap and sell group.
Half price books is also GREAT for TTRPG books

Actually, Dark Horse is a different publisher altogether; you're thinking of Vertigo. It was an excellent line too! ~ Jeff
@ Doh! You’re right, thanks for sagacious and polite correction Jeff!
Role-Aids for 1st ed D&D were some seriously fun supplements. I loved Chill 2nd ed, but wasn't fond of the graphics and art. Solid system though.
