Thanks for the video. This is what I need for my 325i 2010 LCI with Xenon lights. For anyone read this, please note that I've found several different types of headlamps for e90 versions pre and lci. For pre-lci, there is one with halogen bulbs for low and high beam, in which low beam is the same as daytime running light. The other one for pre-lci is for the xenon equiped, mostly for 335's and it has xenon for low and high beam and it also has a rare type for the DRL, which requires you to remove part of the wheel well liner in order to replace it. It's located under the xenon one and it can be found in several videos such as this one:th-cam.com/video/0zhVNlSXXJE/w-d-xo.html.
As for the LCI version, like the one on the video, it uses H8 for DRL and parking light. It's much easier than the others as the type is just a regular H8! No need to remove the wheel well liner for this one. I hope it helps someone else facing the same problem as I am.

Very useful video. Although the camera focus is not great, I like the comparison before and after replacement. It tells me which light you are exactly replacing. I am so confused with high beam, low beam, daytime running light, angle light, LED light. Online there are so many videos that their titles are so confusing. With the help of the actual light on and off, it is really a huge help.

Hello. I can't access mine from above. There is a small door inside the wheel cover. The bad thing is that without removing the wheel you can't see where you put your hand
Why not go for LED markers like CREE or LUX? They have brighter and white light which looks way better in my opinion.
I did discus that in the video ... in my oppinion white doesn t go with e90 s .. if you want your angel eyes to be white go with newer models but I think amber is the right color ! It s like putting halo rings on a golf 4 if you know what I mean
Urbandriver Your taste is not everyones. My large circle of friends and me too LOVE white angel lights on our E90s! And I can see the majority in here (youtube) wanting the white ones. The Golf comparison is just childish.
Lukasz, you can easily upgrade to CREE without any modification. Just pay attention on buying the suitable ones depending on the car model. They are different for facelift E90s.
I just want to clarify that this where I need to access the drl bulbs and NOT under and behind the fender liner? I have a 09 328i LCI.

My bracket for the H8 light is burned a little bit on the passenger’s side so the light doesn’t unleash it’s full power… Have to replace the whole headlight’s damn what a mess
After you fit them, is there any need to reset the alarm with an OBD? I just mounted some OSRAM bulbs and the light notification on the dashboard is still there.
Just instal them and you re done !
According to where I normally buy my bulbs the bulbs I need to fit are H7 and the H8 bulbs you have used in this video are what I would normally use in the fog lights , I'm confused 🤣 I'm in the UK , should this make any difference?
Listen carrefully to what I am saying in the video and do the same thing . It will work , no confusion needed ;))
@@DrMeize EDIT, I've just been out to check and its totally different to the H8 connection you have in you car .
I appreciate your reply, but what I'm saying is you have a H8 connection in your head light and not H7 which is normally what you'd expect to see, I know you mention "not the original " but I assumed you were talking about the bulb because you said it's a Phillips, 99% of the cars I've owned including 3 BMW's all had a H7 connection in the headlight and the fog lights were always H8 , so yep, unfortunately I'm still confused 🤣 I only got this BMW yesterday so will have a look today to see what connection it has.
@@stevelake9333 man you re killing me :))) the h8 is only for the angeleyes and that is if you have bixenon headlight , if you have the halogen version then you have the h7 plug ... common now, just verify your type and unplug it to see the connector ..is it that hard !?:))

Why does your cars angel eyes have a H8 bulb.And my car which is a 2011 lci e90 series have the funny shaped bulb with a white casing and 2 small screws to fit it.Are angel eye bulbs different for some lci models in europe?

Tupac, the facelift models (2009 onwards) have a different bulb. Also the replacement is different! Look for a bulb suitable to your car and you’ll be happy. Try LUMRO CREE 20W for facelift models.

Does the same H 8 bulb illuminate The angel light and the daytime running light because I’m having trouble my both my angel lights works but the daytime running light does not come on when you start the car on the driver side but it does on the passenger side.

Intrebare intrebatoare. Am tot vazut niste topicuri pe diverse forumuri, insa nimic concludent. La inelele de AE din exterior lumina este “moarta” chiar si ch Becuri noi. Am cumparat unul Philips si unul Osram..am zis ca cine stie…le am si schimbat intre ele…nimic…philips se stinge putin mai greu decat osram are un delay de cateva milisecunde daca esti atent…dar luminozitatea este la fel..ma crezut ca becurile mele din AE sunt obosite …dar nu
nu stiu ce numesti tu moarta , dar ele asa sunt facute original sa apara , diferenta intre inele , nu ambele la fel de luminoase ..cauta reclamele la masina din 2009 pe net si ai sa le vezi la fel . Plus ca pe amber mi se pare mult mai misto asa are ceva al ei , nu ca toate tigaile cu AE puternice si albe ambele , care se vad ca nu au treaba cu masina . E o discutie interminabila , dar masinile sunt faine cu luminile de fabrica nu toate chitckurile de prin bazar ..

Are there four angel eye bulbs or two? I replaced mine with leds, but it looks like the outer angel eyes are still halogens while the inner look like LEDs. I'm not sure if something makes them look yellowish or if there's different bulbs for each Angel Eye.
Nope , there are two but you need to have smth very strong to lit them up if you don t use oem bulbs

I have the same bi-xenon light. Could anyone explain what are the inner lenses are for? The outer lenses are for both low and high beam, so what the inner lenses are doing then?
It lights up when you turn or turn on blinker - it lights ur turns basically

On my driver side headlight. One of the angel eye is out whilst the other is working. Is there only one bulb for both ?
Nope , there is only one bulb per headlight so that means that if your s not working but only on a ring , the fiberoptic might be bad, moved from its place damaged .. for that you have to verify it carrefully inside the housing

Is this the same for all LCIs, presuming LCI is the e90 without the chrome that lifts with the hood? My right side angel eyes just went out today. Its a 2009 320i

salut! ai idee de ce la mine doar un ring este luminat mai bine, cel care e mai aproape de bec, celalat e slab iluminat, becul merge! si doar pe o parte am problema asta
pai asa este normal , pe lci-uri cel putin , nu e normal sa fie ambele full brightness ca sa zic asa , daca pe celalalt sunt ambele puternic iluminate acolo trebuie sa cauti problema nu la cel de care spui , desfa capacul si uita-te pe acolo sa nu fie ceva asezat gresit
@@DrMeize este pre lci...din 2006. O sa incerc sa misc becul. Inainte era pus bec cu led. Acum normal. Si modelul acesta are lupa?
pai poate cand a pus bec cu led a miscat ceva pe acolo , nu stiu exact ce model ai , dar daca are lupa trebuie sa o vezi daca nu nu ... in principiu daca ai xenon ai lupa , daca ai halogen nu ai ... iar referitor la drl (angeleyes) acolo nu ai lupa ci o fibra optica de care trebuie sa ai grija .. sa nu o misti de pe pozitie..cine stie ce o fi facut predecesorul in disperarea de a pune leduri ... sfatul meu este sa iti iei un weekend calumea, desfa farul si verifica cu atent ce e miscat , compara-l cu ala de partea cealalta in care corect este sa fie diferenta intre cerculete , spor si sa ne tii la curent cu operatia !

I have bi -xenon , and there is no separate bulb for high or low beam. Only one bulb and it is OEM.

they look real nice and cool on the later models , but an e90 in my oppinion is better with amber ones... the clasics stay clasic :) but now that are just my thoughts
