An old brewer once told me that you should always drink lager from a dry glass, as wet glasses make lager go flat quickly. He also said that the smaller the bubble, the better the beer. 😂
The lesson here - watch the video on Leffe 6% a few days ago, if you haven’t seen it. There are lots of Belgium beers to choose from. Try as many as you can. My bet, you will prefer most to the new Leffe, even if they are in bottles!
Will need to give this a go. I got mine for Christmas last year but turned it off recently because most of the shop now is just lagers. They have lost all Tiny Rebel, Vocation, most of the IPAs. It's been sad to watch.
As an Aussie watching this, it’s made me buy a perfect drought machine & kwak keg at great expense but I’m sure worth every dollar just to re live the good old days drinking in Belgium, cheers Simon.
At last a great beer to help forget all about the crappy macro lagers you've been reviewing! I have one of the Kwak glasses on top of my freezer! Looks great! I agree this beer is a bit strong for a session beer but having one glass per evening followed by standard strength beer won't harm at all.
This was my first.ever keg on pd over 5 yrs ago. I went from carling, bud, carlsberg to this and pretty much stopped going out with 2 months..great beer great system tho it is going a bot too mainstream
😊 when me and the lads used to get together for an ale night we used to mix this with Brewdog's Jack Hammer 🙂 We called it Kwak Hammer 🤣 very potent LOL and lets say an acquired taste 😊
Me and my mate did a keg of Kwag on the PD lovely stuff - Anyway cut a long story short it took me two attempts to get out of the taxi when I got back to mine. Kwak is wack kids!! 😂
Drink those 5 litres in a weekend and you'll be KWAKing like a duck! You couldonly top that by drinking it whilst sitting in Grand Place in Brussels iwth a bowl of chips on a summer evening.

Only time i’ve had kwak was in a bar in les deux alpes in france. Done about 10 pints of it, can’t remember leaving the bar!

Great to see another PerfectDraft keg review Simon! We’ll have to invite BigBald’s Beer Reviews into the Stoned Crow sometime.

Nice to see you have dusted the PD of and started using it again. Be doing the same next week and stocking up for the summer holidays

Was it worth it? I'm guessing so. My brother lives in Perth and has mentioned how expensive Belgian beer is out there
The Kwak beer is absolutely delicious, I love it. I’m thinking about buying the Perfect draft machine by Philips, but I’m not sure yet.
Only had that beer once, and it was on tap at the Minneapolis airport back in 2015. Delicious, and they served it in the proper glass.
Wet the line before putting it in the tap. It will stop it getting caught as you're feeding it through
Take the metal tip off first before putting the new beer line in then slide the tip over the new beer line … much easier 👍
My absolute favorite beer. Had it a few weeks ago at a convention in Antwerp and instantly fell in love.
Wet the rubber seals of the tap for 10-20 second with hot water before beginning with a new keg 👍🏻
Glad to see a perfect draft review. I’ve missed these!
Getting some in for myself and the mrs come the autumn when she has had our baby. She loves a string Belgian ale.
Been tempted to try the Kwak rouge even though I'm mainly a lager drinker. Love the reviews pal keep it up
certainly do so! It's great on a warm day. Lovely cherry flavour and a bit of sourness.
Picked up my glass and stand from Ypres years ago in a gift set. Even the standard lagers in Belgium bars were top notch. Unlike UK pubs.

Had two of these kegs....by far my favorite!

Ive just polished off the cherry kwak and it was unbelievable. I'll definitlybe adding this one to my next order
When are you getting back on the PD Si! This is what made me fall in love with your channel
Great review Fella yeah Kwak different gravy wait until you try the blond one it's even better 😊
Love this style of beer, wonder how it compares to Hapkin on the blade
So glad you enjoyed mate. Cheers!
Thank you Stuart, the Perfect Draft is dusted down and set for the summer now!
Definitely going to give this one a try.
Drank a bottle of Kwak in Ostend 15 years ago, never forgot the experience - wonderfull experience
Can you get kegs of Gosser lager on the Phillips
Hey great to see you...... I thought you were taking a holiday from TH-cam..
Just from the weekly live stone the crow buddy
I remember the last keg you had I think was the red Leffe. On the live stream back in December Mel said you were really annoying when you drank it lol
Had it in brugge is a good beer the glass it mad comes with a wooden stand as the bottom isnt flat
Would u recommend the Phillips over the blade
Very hard choice, both great systems
My all time favourite beer.
I've been putting off buying one of these for ages now, I think you've just cost me money.

The kegs are 6L, love bottled Kwak you only need 2 or 3 never had a keg though.
At last a decent brew
"Exactly more or less six months ago",you're a funny man Simon😆,legend👍
Love the Kwak. Surprisingly strong 🤪 Got slaughtered by that and la Chouffe in an Amsterdam pub many moons ago.
We did an event last Easter and things got a bit out of hand with 27 kegs over 3 days (pictures exist as proof)

I'm disappointed Simon wheres the Kwak glass! Looks amazing that though ♥️
Lovely stuff. Have to treat it with respect though... Shame perfect draft have so little stock these days.
Hope I can find it in Singapore? That beer looked damm good!
Now I’m going out to buy some Kwak beir….lol
You are not wrong.
So jealous of you right now maté enjoy 😉🍻
Don't know if you've tried Leffe Noel on the PD but that is stunning.
Lol, I misheard and thought Simon said he had chilled his keks.
Kwak would be a perfect beer for Donald Duck and his nephews...🦆🍻 Cheers..🍺
that looks liquid gold

Just the look on your face!!!!
Have a nice Kwak 😄 it's 6 liter. You make me buy this stuff too, dammit 🤣

No way you're finishing that keg in 1 sitting lol
Jealous......you bet... Boom!!!
I agree ,a cracker
Pauwel kwak is sex
Kwak was coachmans ale, the glass was designed to be grabbed from a moving horse-drawn coach.
Its a bloody lovely ale
