    I haven't seen all the Marx's Bros movies, but hearing you talk about Night at the Opera and Horse Feathers brought me back. They definitely have a Looney Tunes quality to them.

    Great video Danny!! I'm glad you checked them all out! I agree with your top 2 my favs too! I would switch "the coconuts" with "the big store", it's still a superior movie to "the big store".
    I have really enjoyed this old movie may month!! you should still sneak in those great 1930s movie all the time!!
    take care man!

    Your enthusiasm is contagious and I found myself laughing along even though I haven't seen most of these movies--yet! I just picked up two sets that have 12 of their 13 (Love Happy is missing but available sepeartely). Thus far I'm a DUCK SOUP man, but will see what happens. PS: If I wasn't looking, I'd swear I was listening to Cliff the mailman on CHEERS. You sound uncannily like John Ratzenberger. I agree, the Marx Bros are a blast!

      thank you for watching! duck soup is a good one!! that one has definitely grown on me since the first time i watched it. haha i love john ratzenberg! he was great as cliff!! i dont know if you like horror movies but if you do, check out the house movies. george wendt is in the first one and john ratzenberg is in the second one!

    I love the fact that Groucho sent a letter to the band Queen because they had two albums called Night At The Opera and Day At The Races and he thanked them for that and advised that they should look out for the new Marx Bros movie which will be called The Best Of The Rolling Stones. lol. Excellent video and agree fully with your list except Duck Soup is number one for me.

    Great review! Horse Feathers is my favorite movie of theirs. Too bad so much of the film is lost. Maybe with the emerging AI technology, someone can recreate the missing elements.

    • @TheTrashStash
      @TheTrashStash  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      that would be interesting, but honestly for me personally i'd rather just watch it with the missing scenes than AI scenes

      @@TheTrashStash I just rewatched your video and I think I took it out of context. You were talking about the scene in Horsefeathers where a woman falls into the lake and cries out for a lifesaver and Groucho throws here a piece of lifesaver candy. You said you think she might have died and you don't see her again. I guess you were talking about in the movie but I thought you were talking about "in real life" because she did die, but is was a few years after making the movie.

    Interesting that Zeppo dropped out of Night at the Opera. I haven’t seen any Marx Brothers, I’ll probably start with Monkey Business! Horse Feathers sounds good too! I’ll deff try to watch all these! Thanks a lot for sharing Danny!

    • @TheTrashStash
      @TheTrashStash  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      thanks colin! yeah it sucks zeppo left, but the stuff he did after was pretty fascinating, he was an engineer i guess and i heard he invented something that helped win world war 2. there's a video on youtube called zeppo's invention that i heard that from. monkey business is the best one to start with definitely.

    Glad that Love Happy wasn't at the bottom. I always enjoyed that one quite a bit. Not Marilyn Monroe's debut, but still in her first five or so appearances. Agree 100% on The Cocoanuts as well; interesting but very dated (as are many 1929 films.) Horse Feathers is a good pic for #1! Awesome list!

      My second best is A Day at The Races you have it as number 3. I like it better then A Night at the Opera cause I don't like opera so much. Hey do you think the Rock Band Queen were Marx Brother fans cause two of their biggest albums were A Night at the Opera and A Day at the Races?
