After 5 years of dunking almost daily I destroyed my knees from all the landings as I was only 5ft 11in when I began. I'm 6ft 4in now, 39 years old and have already had knee surgeries. I can't even jump anymore. My advice to kids who can dunk is save it for special occasions. If you practice dunks everyday, especially trick dunks, your forearms and knees can be injured.
i know how this feels, but from my experience it's worth it

I thought I was just a wimp lol. They never visibly show pain when they dunk tho but boy it doesn’t feel too good if you don’t do it right

Yea It hurt especially on park rims, especially double rims since they can’t retract down, so I just throw it in or just lay it.
it doesn’t only hurt your hands, my knees are constantly in pain from landing and taking off
